DD wanted to go to a maritime festival in Belfast though I didn't really think I could manage anyway, its pouring here so not likely we will go anyway. Maybe have a crafty or baking day instead. She's currently doing a practice transfer paper (11+) and ill have to get up showered and dressed before she's done. Could stay here in bed quite happily though...

LittlePeaPod · 27/05/2013 09:19

Toby. I am Envy about picnic.....

DF and I will head off to Wagamamma's if I still feel up toa chicken katsu curry at 12. DF is also moving beds about as we will be living in spare for next four weeks whilst our room is redecorated. Needs a lot f work as its an old house...

Yay! Nice to meet someone due on the same day littlepeapod

And a fibroid buddy too, TobyLerone

The hardest thing I'm finding at the moment is my boobs ... They're like painful rocks! That and the nausea ...

Just had a peach, yoghurt, oats and honey smoothie, which has definitely stopped the vomit feelings for a while.

Bikey86 · 27/05/2013 09:29

Morning ladies,

So sorry to hear of all you ladies suffering with ms and food aversions. I'm only 5+1 today so a bit behind some of you and today is the first day I have noticed changes in how things taste. My morning coffee (which I cannot function without) tastes awful...like cardboard!! No sickness yet but from what I have read that doesn't kick in until 6 weeks. Got my first drs appointment tomorrow, think it might start feeling real then!!! Xxx

Pop2014 · 27/05/2013 09:30

Extra, yes I'm a 'multip' hehe, never heard that one before but with DD I don't remember the sickness starting this early on, maybe its just the joy of forgetting.

Yes Queen Charlotte is a good one for maternity, unfortunately its too far from me so choosing another Smile

Madrat how exciting!!! 2 of my SIL are due in October so can't wait to tel them.

Sultano o no, don't worry, glad you feel better this morning! Hope you manage to eat something.

Pea thanks re sea bands, I think I'm going to try them out today.
Hope you get your wagamama Grin
Thanks for the new thread, will check it out. Good luck with the decorating!

Mac2014 welcome. O sorry you had such a scary first few weeks! Hope its an easy ride from now on. Good luck for tomorrowWink

Hope everyone else is ok and everyone manages to eat something today. I need to go to the library soon to revise for an exam tomorrow, not fun!

Pop2014 · 27/05/2013 09:31

Good luck for your doctors app. Tomorrow Bikey Grin

Yonionekanobe · 27/05/2013 09:32

Morning all and congratulations Mac!

Smoothie is a great idea. May manage that.

Today we are very boringly going to sort the chaos that is our house and especially DD's huge pile of toys. DH wants a BBQ later. Thought isn't hugely appealing right now but may be up for it later.

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 09:49

Hey mac congratulations and you are in good company with the worrying! So pleased they scanned u so at least u know what's going on now!

Toby picnic sounds awesome and of course oats will thicken it! Dopey moment!!!

Got to go out for boring shopping essentials today, but its sunny so excited to get some fresh air while I still feel slightly human! Wink

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 09:50

frying so sorry you feel so shite this morning. Really hope u feel better soon...Thanks

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 09:53

bikey hope your GP appointment goes well tomorrow! I have my booking in appointment tomorrow and am suddenly really excited about it as get to talk about my pregnancy with someone in real life for an hour or so! Grin It's the little things!

Right, off to clean the bathroom and then chores....

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 09:54

pop good luck with your exam tomorrow!

yoni I quite fancy a BBQ steak and corn on the cob.....hope you feel up for it later.

MrsGSR · 27/05/2013 09:58

Slowly catching up, I'll post as I go along!
Congratulations book and toby on your scans!
pod I can't believe you've gone off coleslaw, hopefully you'll start feeling better soon!

I'm doing ok eating plain foods, nibbling on bed sticks at the minute! I'm also a bit gassy, it's not fun!

MrsGSR · 27/05/2013 10:07

Congratulations mac! fx the rest of your pregnancy is really boring and everything goes smoothly.

I've done 4 food shops this week, the house is full of food but by the time I've got home I've gone off it all!

Hopefully everyone's ms and food aversions won't last long!

Yonionekanobe · 27/05/2013 10:21

Smoothie was excellent - thanks for the idea Mac. Added protein powder and some linseed to the berries and yoghurt, so finally getting something 'good' in for the baby. Feeling much better today actually and a little more upbeat so am determined to try and start eating better.

Can't believe I'm 8.5 weeks already - this pregnancy seems to be going much faster than first already.

extracrunchy · 27/05/2013 10:27

Might go to Hampton Court picnic today! I've woken up with a full face of angry acne though, so might have to go in a burka.

Hope the MS eases off soon, everyone. I'm now 9 weeks according to last scan (technically an imposter in this group!) and feel quite a bit less awful - hoping I'll see the back of it shortly. So if it's any consolation, if you're anything like me you'll feel better in a bit and then erupt like a teenager!

Enjoy bank holiday Smile

Toothfairy78 · 27/05/2013 10:30

Oh gosh! Just did the stocktake of symptoms: sleeping loads, starving hungry, no ms (touch wood) but have lost ability to count and remember stuff. Had to reset mumsnet password today and needed to download an app to tell me I'm 8 weeks cos I couldn't work it out. Argh, Brain!!! Oh well at least I remembered my iTunes Store password :-)

Mac2014 · 27/05/2013 10:30

yonionekanobe glad that one worked for you too!

sultanajo thanks my dear... It's my first and I'm a complete control freak, so I was always going to be a worrier Grin

thanks MrsGSR fx. I'm exactly the same ... Things take my fancy in the shop and when I get home I can't stand the sight of them. Currently can't stop thinking about sardines on toast... Random.

MrsVDB · 27/05/2013 10:43

bikey think we are due same day? 25th? Also have first doc apt on Wednesday! Exciting!

cosmickitten · 27/05/2013 10:45

Wow 12 pages!!!!! Think it might take a little time to get back in the loop!!! I have my second scan post big bleed. Little bean still has a healthy heart beat and has doubled in size. Measuring a little smaller than expected but still within healthy growth rate.

Trying very hard worry less and get back to 'normal'.

Bikey86 · 27/05/2013 11:34

Good luck to you too sultana, I know what you mean I'm so excited to tell someone other than dh that I'm pg. I hate keeping secrets.

pop good luck for your exam

MrsVdb yes we are due the same day! Wow! Have you had any ms yet? I've just started feeling really crap today and me sense of smell is suddenly amazing...everything is making me gag :-( still eating okay at the moment though. Good luck with your docs app on weds :-)

I've just been out jogging with my mum, quite a gentle jog coz she's not very fast but omg my boobs were killing. So hard to run with boulders stuck to your chest!!!

Bikey86 · 27/05/2013 11:36

cosmic that's lovely news, hopefully you feel better knowing that things are okay x

SpecificDreamRabbit · 27/05/2013 11:39

Yay for great scan news, booktart, toby and cosmic!

toby, I have fibroids too - the main troubles they cause me is super heavy period bleeding. Am almost constantly on iron tablets, and have had blood transfusions in the past. So being pregnant is actually quite good for me, as no periods! I'll be asking my consultant if they'll cause any pregnancy issues when I see him next month.

So sorry to the ladies who are struggling to keep any food down. littlepea, I echo those who say to go to the doctors - sounds like you might have hg.

coco, I am hungry all the time too... but I don't really fancy anything, and feel slightly off when I've eaten. So it's a little frustrating, but definitely could be worse!

Welcome, mac!

Haha, well done on the jog, biker, I don't think I could bear it! My boobs are getting sorer and sorer. If I stay perfectly still they don't bother me though, so great excuse for sitting on the sofa all day! Grin

I haven't bought any baby things yet, but I have been doing a bit of ebay shopping for maternity clothes! You can get some really great bargains - everything seems so expensive new, and for some not so hot designs!

I think I will join the picnicking folk today... though not literally! Wink It's such a nice day, so might as well make the most of it.

SpecificDreamRabbit · 27/05/2013 11:39

Sorry, meant bikey not biker, obviously! Smile

eccentrica · 27/05/2013 12:32

Hi all

I'm due 2nd January 2014 [waves]

Having been through massive hormonal swings, fits of anger, sleeping nearly all the time (now waaay behind with work hence desperately trying to write a report on a nice Bank Holiday Monday), and permanent low-grade nausea over the past couple of weeks, am now back to worrying that nothing is happening in there. I've got no real feelings in my belly, no stretching pains or anything, doesn't help that my 2-year-old daughter likes to jump on me when I'm in bed and/or throw things on me.

Stupidly I am booked to go on holiday 2 days after my 12-week scan, which has been brought forward to 11+2, so my latest panic is worrying that I'll get bad news at the scan and have to cancel my holiday or go with a dark cloud hanging over me. I'm sure it will all be fine though Hmm

Anyway, nice to meet you all Smile

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 12:46

mac control freak here too! Its hard not being able to control what happens!

eccentric welcome! You are due the day after me! I completely understand your fears about getting news just before your holiday! Really hope your fears are unfounded and you can go on a high!
