sultana - I bought that mylene klass book too Blush x 100

However, I went right off her when she revealed that she had given a midwife a very hard time and had to go private when the midwife had (quite understandably) refused to set her up with a fake name in the NHS system as MK was soooooooo famous that all the NHS grotters would surely be reading her notes and selling info to the Sun.

Pop2014 · 26/05/2013 22:55

Thanks everyone for all the info re sea bands. Think I will give them a go tomorrow.

I havnt got any new books just the queen charlottes hospital one from the last pregnancy, which I found to be rather good.

Hope everyone feels better soon. I feel like I'm always holding back being sick its horrible. Night everyone I'm exhausted! Have a good bank holiday tomorrowWink

extracrunchy · 26/05/2013 23:18

Oh pop it's horrible isn't it? Sad does get better though - as you know if you're a "multip"! (MW tells me that's what non first timers are called) Feels like forever though. Sending lots of sympathy (and empathy).
I was born at Queen Charlottes a long long time ago Smile

Madratlady · 27/05/2013 00:37

Today I found out that a good friend is also pg and the exact same number of weeks/days. It's even more exciting now!

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 06:51

madrat omg thats mega exciting!!

Well I had a scary moment last night. Only ever had one migraine in my life with the aura. Well last night out of nowhere I got the aura again - no headache this time and I was just chilling on the sofa, but the fact that my vision started to go and got progressively worse scared the shit out of me! I went straight to bed and touch wood it has gone this morning! Shock

LittlePeaPod · 27/05/2013 06:58

Pop my SIL recommended those bands as she had really bad ms. She did say it oesnt completely take it away but helps reduce it a lot. She wore them constantly and only took them off in the shower.

Madat congratulations to you friend and brilliant yo ave someone to speak to.

Sultanajo how scary but glad your feeling better this morning.

I am still struggling to eat. Had a little bit if porridge yesterday and a little bit of soup. Sad Woke up really hungry his morning bu still cant dace anything except i seem to be craving a Wagamamma's chicken katsu curry. So FX still want one in a few hours when they open..

book LOL! gobbo glad Im not the only one who bought it and I totally know what u mean about the fact that she went private and then says "everyone has a choice about the type of care they get"! Ummm come back to the real world.... However, curiosity makes me want to read more!!! Blush

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 07:01

pod will keep everything crossed you still want it in a few hours! Yesterday I really fancied monster munch (which I normally hate) and was going to go and get some today, but now I cant stand the thought....

LittlePeaPod · 27/05/2013 07:10

Sultanajo the monster munch comment just made me laugh out loud.. So true though... I feel like its a race against time... If I fancy something, then i need to quickly eat it before my tummy (or more likely chickpea) has time to register the thought and reject it.... Ha ha ha Grin if I still fancy the katsu curry I may eat two portions... Grin

I didn't know Mylenne was still hanging in there.... May have a nosey.

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 07:28

Lol! Its so true! Really fancied chips last night but didnt have them and again today I cant face thinking about them! At least I still fancy blueberries today! Ate a whole punnet yesterday! Think its the first healthy thing I have craved and managed to eat!!! Grin

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 08:09

Scrap that - just had some blueberries and they are now off the list! Well that lasted a day! Ffs! Confused

LittlePeaPod · 27/05/2013 08:26

I'm still saying smoothies/milkshakes. Unless you're like me and the thought of milk turns your stomach at the best of times :o

The baby will be fine, though, pod. Really. It's just you who will be suffering! They're basically parasites and will take what they need regardless. You're still taking your vitamins, which is great.

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 08:42

That's great pod! Will check it out. Toby milk is el Diablo! Tried making an ice cream milkshake, but in order to mask the smell of the milk I basically made blended ice cream with a bit of milk that I had to eat with a spoon! Lol!Grin

TobyLerone · 27/05/2013 08:43

Smoothies with apple juice, banana, oats and peanut butter are the way forward. You can put greek yogurt and honey in too if you want.

TobyLerone · 27/05/2013 08:44

Next time, just eat ice cream :D

Sultanajo · 27/05/2013 08:50

Hmmmm, may look into smoothies and add some ice cream to thicken as allergic to bananas...

LittlePeaPod · 27/05/2013 09:02

Thanks Toby. DF made me one but I could have it an apple/orange juice is a no no. At the moment can only drink water and fanta... Making babies is seriously hard work..

LittlePeaPod · 27/05/2013 09:02

Mac2014 · 27/05/2013 09:06

Hi there,
Just joined Mumsnet. Am 8 weeks tomorrow, due on the 7th jan.
My doc thought I was ectopic... Fainting and a bleed. However after an internal scan 3 weeks ago, turns out I'm fine... But have a fibroid (may make for a potentially painful birth) and a cyst...
Am completely paranoid, keep thinking everything is a sign of miscarriage, but have another scan tomorrow to check it's all ok... Fingers crossed!
Nice to meet you all, hope you're all coping with the changes.
X

fryingpantoface · 27/05/2013 09:10

Good morning all! Now I finally have the internet, i'll be able to post/keep up more.

Food aversions - Yeah, I know what you mean. I was loving prawns, ate loads of them, now don't want to be around them. They stink. That seems to be the biggest, i'm just not as hungry as I was.

Today I've woken up feeling like death. I feel so sick, it hurts to move. DH has been really great though, he took DS down for me and bathed hum before he had to go to work. He's a love. Poor dos has to put up with a load of crazy!

What's everyone else doing today?

LittlePeaPod · 27/05/2013 09:11

Mac congratulations on your BFP Flowers. I am due on the 7th jan too... Nice to meet someone due on the same day as me. Good luck for tomorrow..

TobyLerone · 27/05/2013 09:15

Hi Mac. We can be fibroid buddies! :o

It'll pass, pod. Keep up the good work!

Oats will thicken it, sultana, and they're really good for you. Chuck in a small handful and blend the crap out of it!

fryingpantoface · 27/05/2013 09:16

whoops, missed you then! Hi mac!

TobyLerone · 27/05/2013 09:16

I'm off to clean for the old lady down the road, and then to clean for my grandad. DH will cut the grass while I'm out, then I think we'll all go out for a picnic or something.
