Trix good luck for today. I know it will be a difficult day but hope all is well and you get to see the heartbeat. Brooking for you

I've been brooking all day already...

Exhausted after teaching, so having a lie down in the air con. Maybe a nap?

cartoontrickster · 29/05/2013 12:09

well no joy getting a scan this morning at the hospital. I did think they would say no anyway. she said that it could just cause me more stress as its so early and they can't be sure. she has a point but it won't stop me having my private scan later. she also thinks that the medication I'm on is pointless and that there's not enough evidence to back the theory up. shes mire if a believer in positive thinking and can't see why it wouldn't work for us.

keepitgoing · 29/05/2013 12:47

I know its controversial, trix, but it seems to work for you. It doesn't harm. Keep the faith and stick with the plan.

SweetieTime · 29/05/2013 13:44

Trix you have to go with what works for you. all medical science is about trial and error. hope the private scan goes well later.

cartoontrickster · 29/05/2013 14:19

well exactly. if I feel like it helps and keeps me a bit more able to think positively, which it does as I feel like I'm actually doing something, it can't be a bad thing.
times dragging! I've had a short nap but was hoping I wouldn't wake up till 3pm when we need to leave.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 29/05/2013 14:35

Nearly 3 now Trix brooking it goes well for you.

Hiya Keep, Sweetie and Sparks hope you're all ok.

Sparks how did your appointment go? Hopefully it was useful. Maybe try not to nest so hard?? Wink says the woman who was building a new wardrobe at 36 weeks cos nothing elite would fit in the old one and it looked really messy Blush

cartoontrickster · 29/05/2013 17:15

we have a heartbeat people! 6+4 exactly right.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 29/05/2013 17:22

Woo hoo!! Brilliant news Trix :)

OP posts:
SweetieTime · 29/05/2013 17:48

Trix that is brilliant news, I am so pleased for you. Is it just the one heartbeat?

Our appointment has come through for our NHS scan and NT screening. It isn't until 24th June, so I will be 13 weeks. There is no way I can wait that long so I have decided to go for private scan/screening. This can be done week after next when I will be 11 weeks so not that long to wait. I will still have the NHS scan too as reassurance.

cartoontrickster · 29/05/2013 17:51

thanks boo
haha yes sweetie u just have one on board!
gosh that is a long time to wait I'm not surprised your going for a private one. where/when will you have it?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 29/05/2013 20:38

Well that's pants Sparks we will just have to brook that it doesn't get any worse when twinkle gets lower. I don't get why they were discussing bfing, it seems a bit pushy!!

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 30/05/2013 03:27

Grin trix!!! Fantastic news.

sweetie I'm pretty sure they need you at 11+4 for the nuchal scan. You could get an earlier one just to check things are progressing well and check on numbers then use the NHS one for NT.

Ah well, you could sneeze any day now sparks. Does SPD resolve right after birth?

SweetieTime · 30/05/2013 08:26

keep I think that is what I am going to do

well I think the hormones have caught me up. I felt so sick most of yesterday. I had to dash to grotty work toilet but fortunately wasn't actually sick. feel shattered too even though slept well and had an early night.

Oh love, that's pants, but if there was any major concern you would be in today! How did she measure the baby growth, Is it your bump that hasn't grown?

I know it's hard but try not to worry, do spend the day sitting though!!!!

OP posts:
SweetieTime · 30/05/2013 12:27

Sparks that is rubbish but keep is right they would have you in today if huge concerned. Try to take it easy today. Sofa is best place to be. anything good on tv?
is MrS with you?

Another sicky dash to the grotty work toilet again this morning Sad I have always said I have weak hormones. Obviously they just take longer to kick in than normal people. Am off to work from home go home for a nap soon Wink
