Hello everyone.

I got my BFP this morning. I'm in complete shock. I'm 3-4 weeks. Can't believe it.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/07/2013 14:34

Come in, sit down Penguin :) we're all here for support! Brooking is good isn't it :):)

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/07/2013 16:53

Ooh, getting full in here,

Trix how many weeks are you now? What's next with scans, drips etc?

Keep how are you settling back into blighty? Hope you're ok.

Sweetie what date is your 20 week scan? Any more kicks to report?

Sparks tell us more about R, can't get enough of him Grin

Maybe how many sticks have you pee'd on I did at least 1 every day for 2 weeks Blush

OOH penguin congratulations; that's fantastic news! Grab a pew.

We are having a bit of a hard time finding a decent place to rent. DH keeps getting distracted by places to buy, far things are grotty and/or small and/or on a busy road. Hope to just decide on monday and go with that. Hey, at least it's lovely and cool... My sister gave me some maternity clothes and I'm wearing the jeans today. OK, they are super comfy! No going back now :)

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 27/07/2013 17:07

Aah the bliss of maternity clothes :) I started wearing them at 10 weeks Blush Hope you find somewhere decent soon.

I'm 15wks today and have my mat jeans on today. I have a scan and drip on 14th Aug. it will be my last drip.
boo you can't leave us! Confused

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/07/2013 19:35

Don't you dare leave Boo

Hello Penguin!!

Boo I haven't peed on any since OTD! I figured it would make things worse if I'm honest.

Keep sorry you're struggling to find a nice place. I'm sure you'll get there.

My tummy is so massive. I was wearing my jeans but by 4 they had to come off!! I'm just so full of wind Blush it's going to become quite uncomfortable sitting at a desk all day from Monday where it's not ok to let rip as and when

What has everyone been up to? Today we have bought a 'family' car and have been to look at prams .

When will it stop being so muggy?!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/07/2013 19:35

And Trix that's great news about the last drip!

NinjaChipmunk · 27/07/2013 22:40

where's solars? I've heard she needs a congratulations smacker on the cheek too?
that's made my evening!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 27/07/2013 23:09

Ninja my lovely!!!! How are you?!

NinjaChipmunk · 27/07/2013 23:34

What 'family' car have you gone for maybe? I remember finding pram shopping incredibly stressful and breaking down at dp wailing 'they all do the same thing but differently, how am I supposed to know what we need!' Grin Enjoy the irrational hormones! I was really bloated when pregnant with M, have you gone for the hairband through the buttonhole for extra comfort yet?
I'm off to catch up with the thread and see who I recognise on here Smile

ThedementedPenguin · 27/07/2013 23:53

Ninja have you gone for the hairband through the buttonhole for extra comfort yet? What does this mean?

maybe I'm the same. No matter what I eat I feel so bloated and crap. It's awful. Didn't have this the last time.

I was out tonight (I drove) for my uncles birthday. We went to cosmos. It was delish but even my very small amount of food was way too much and I'm suffering now. Any one any advice on how to avoid this?

Hope everyone is keeping well. Off to bed. I'm shattered.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/07/2013 06:56

We went for an Audi A4 estate Ninja. Need to fit the loch in the boot now, with a pram. I found pram shopping a bit strange. I felt like a fraud!! But the girl was lovely. We're getting an Icandy peach. It's love at first sight Grin

The lovely Sparks told me about the hair band through the button hole. I think I will be trying it!!

I fear the nausea is starting. I felt horrific last night, and since I got up for another wee, I now feel too sick to fall asleep again. But I'm not complaining Smile

Penguin, have you tried some peppermint tea? It settled me a bit. But I have no idea what to do about the bloat! It's mental!!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 28/07/2013 08:06

Penguin the hair band thing is for when your trousers get little snug, you pop a hair band through the button hole and over the button to give you some breathing room.

Yay for symptoms Maybe and how organised are you? Took me ages to choose a pram Blush

Good to see you Ninja how are you? Please do stay and post more often :)

Trix 15 weeks Shock that has gone fast (for me it has probably felt like 100 years to you) and yay for the last drip coming up too. Are you and DH getting excited now?

Right, K's breakfast is done off to sort out toddly and me (DH at work again :( ) I think teen's breakfast will be more of brunch Grin

ThedementedPenguin · 28/07/2013 09:37

Maybe I had an icandy apple for ds. I love it. It's like a tank you can take it everywhere.

I also had a double pram but just sold it. I would love an icandy double. However I'm not sure that will happen. Has anyone any other recommendations for double prams?

ThedementedPenguin · 28/07/2013 09:38

Oh and boo thanks for the info. Think I may need to do this. Last night I had to undo my trouser button and walk around like that :) it felt so good to undo it.

cartoontrickster · 28/07/2013 10:45

wow maybe aren't you organised!
boo it has felt kinda long. 12 - 20wks is an absolute age! so I'm focusing on getting to 16wks. then 16 - 20wks. bit jealous of teen b's lie in! but then I have only just got in the bath. Grin
we've been looking online this morning at bits and pieces. I'd love to have a sneaky peak in a real life shop but dh isnt ready yet.
there always seems to be a lot of love for icandy prams around mn! I like a more traditional looking pram. why do most prams have 3 wheels! but then I do think the more funky patterned ones im loving some of the cossattos but where's the fourth wheel! if I had the money though I'd totally get a silver cross balmoral. the elegance is nice too.

keepitgoing · 28/07/2013 10:48

Oh god, maybe is more prepared than me.....

I'm loving the cool weather! Good old English summer :)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/07/2013 11:33

It's only cos it's taken nearly three years to get here, and a lot of people we know have had baby's, so you get to know prams!!

Trix the Icandy that we want has 4 wheels.

Glad you're enjoying the weather Keep It's still very muggy down south

NinjaChipmunk · 28/07/2013 11:50

penguin the hairband trick is a good one to know. esp if you are sitting at work and it get uncomfy Grin
maybe we have an old BMW estate, it's like driving around in your lounge. and you can fit soooo much in it.
must dash, my cup of tea is getting cold

NinjaChipmunk · 28/07/2013 11:51

oh and we have a bugaboo chameleon, it's great.

Munxx · 28/07/2013 12:40

I am so excited for you all!

Like Boo said, hopefully you don't mind me hanging around!

Penguin I have a nipper 360, I have a relatively small age gap between my DC and I love it. However I do use a sling a lot as well when I only have DS (he is 10.5 months).

NinjaChipmunk · 28/07/2013 13:42

don't get me started on slings! I have 4. actually no I have 5 but one has never been used. of the 4 I use I have 2 ring slings, a Mei tai and a toddler ssc. may trade in the toddler one for a dif make as I want a better fit. love love love my ring slings though.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 28/07/2013 13:52

I'm quite intrigued by slings. Discuss
