One last thread from me, Sparks hope you're ready, you're sneezing on this one :):):)

How many weeks are you now Sweetie, lots of napping and eat/drink what ever keeps you going. Sucking on a mint really helps too.

Sparks at least you have control of the tv, I'm in Tom and Jerry hell at the moment :( hope you enjoyed the ice cream :)

sweetie hope you get a nap in soon. I'm gradually feeling worse and worse too! really headachey and just exhausted as well as a pretty constant sickly feeling. even the thought of a glass if water makes me want to vom. went slowly with the tin of soup for lunch felt slightly better whilst eating, but that didn't last long!

SweetieTime · 30/05/2013 18:10

Sparks I hadn't realised napping was a rule, but now I know I will make sure I indulge regularly. I am a bit of a dormouse at the best of times.

I know it is slightly more reassuring to be having symptoms even though they are a bit bleugh. I am 9+2 today so suppose it is a bit late for getting sickness but hopefully it won't be for too long. I tried sucking on a mint earlier and it didn't make much difference as I had to run to the loo to retch.

Trix good to hear you are getting symptoms too. Too much liquid also makes me feel queasy even though I am thirsty. I think dry toast or bread seems the most appealing. It is all worth it in the end.

I have booked for a private NT scan but it isn't for a few more weeks as they would prefer I am nearer to 12 weeks. They are going to send me a blood test to have done at my GP and send back to them so I can have the full results on the day. I feel much better knowing I have got it booked, although I wish it was a little bit sooner.

cartoontrickster · 30/05/2013 18:35

I know its hard sweetie but at least its booked. there's a window for when they can do the nuchal not sure if its any different for twins. have you thought about the harmony test its a bit more in depth. its something I'm thinking about.

SweetieTime · 30/05/2013 18:42

I am going to see how we get on with this test before I think of any other tests. The harmony test can be done at any stage but takes a couple of weeks to get results. I can understand you wanting to go down this route though.

cartoontrickster · 30/05/2013 18:58

yes that's right. I think I would have the NHS nuchal done and then go on to have the harmony if necessary, especially since they don't need that particular 'window' to do the harmony. I was under the impression that you got the harmony results really quickly though.

SweetieTime · 30/05/2013 20:30

maybe waiting time for results vary depending where you have it done. Where would you go for it?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 30/05/2013 20:42

What is the Harmony test? How is it done? I've never heard of that one.

keepitgoing · 31/05/2013 02:58

Sweetie you can't do the harmony test with twins. Sorry! Glad you've got a test booked. Also dildals said the normal blood test is a bit less accurate too as you have extra hormones. Btw I think 9 weeks was my worst for sickness.

Trix I think it was FMC in London has a special offer on harmony £180 if you do blood test at ten weeks, NT scan at 12. Otherwise its like 600 I think. I'm not sure where you live.

Hope all goes well today sparks!

I'm 14 weeks today! Still awaiting phone call re bloods. They said 1-2 weeks and its 6 days. Impatient.

keepitgoing · 31/05/2013 02:59

As in the 180 includes the NT.

cartoontrickster · 31/05/2013 07:15

I've dug out ny leaflet now instead of trying to remember all the infoConfused .
doesn't mention twinsHmm . actually it doesn't say much about anything. just a general price list.... not helpful.
yes keep that was the offer I got told by the midwife but I phoned them as I was thinking of having it done for pebble but I didn't qualify can't remember why, to far along it must have been.
I think for me I would have it at fmc not sure where else they do it.

cartoontrickster · 31/05/2013 07:43

www.thebirthcompany.co.uk/harmony-test/
how do you make it clicky on your phone?!
anyway from what I remember that 'deal' was for research purposes and stopped running now.

Sparks how you feeling today? Any more signs of twinks arrival?

Trix you should just take it a step at a time too, it is so difficult

keep 14 weeks!!! where has the time gone. If the measurements were ok i think the blood only back this up. Are you are young spring chicken?

I seem to have developed a little tummy now, sort of rounded from under my bust. It is only noticable to me and in clothes I don't look any different. I also got weighed this morning and haven't gained any weight at all which is a bit strange. Must be all the healthy eating and no booze.

keepitgoing · 31/05/2013 09:25

Ooh and I think you're officially at term today sparks. Congratulations! And come on twinkle!

keepitgoing · 31/05/2013 09:36

I'm 'only' 30, sweetie. But have of course read 'my nt was fine but bloods put me as high risk' stories. Naughty me.

Isn't it weird, I've gained no weight either yet have a small tum. And why so high up?!

cartoontrickster · 31/05/2013 09:37

keep sweeties right. I wouldn't worry too much about the bloods. everything on the scan was fine. I'm not sure about over there but here they literally get back to you within days if its a high result.
sweetie how have you managed not to gain weight! mind due I don't seem to have yet but I have still been doing a few gym sessions. I think they'll be pretty much stopping now though as I feel too rough. yay for the beginnings if a bump! how many weeks are you.
sparks so excited! any stirrings?

cartoontrickster · 31/05/2013 09:39
