god boo I'm suprised you didn't smack her. how stupid! hope you get to see the doc. well actually hope k perks up Smile

SweetieTime · 19/06/2013 13:57

boo oh goodness what a nightmare. I thought it was a given the new baby are given priority appointments at Drs. I would ring regardless of k feeding to get her seen. in the meantime I think you should have a nice cuppa and a biscuit or chocolate.

I forgot to tell you all that I was chatting to dh about the twins measurements being so ahead. so he pipes up maybe they are going to be big babies. oh and as an after thought that he was 10 pounds when bourn. omg I am having jumbo twins!!!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 19/06/2013 14:42

Boo...hoping its not the same, but my ds2 stopped feeding at 11 weeks, also had a cold and we ended up going to out of hours gp and was immediately admitted into hospital for 5 days with him being tube fed and on oxygen as he had bronchiolitis. Definitely don't let them fob you off.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 19/06/2013 14:45

Oh Loopy that's sounds awful, I won't be fobbed don't worry about that, I will be calling at 3 (was told they would call me after 2) and demanding she is seen!

Thanks for the reassurance sparks and boo. Hope it doesn't get worse.brooking for k to get better ASAP but if not then that you see the doc.

cartoontrickster · 19/06/2013 19:49

its so hard. dh was quite upset he couldn't come. not helpful when he worrys so much as it is. I took a video of the whole thing on my phone. its not always very clear but you can see the little legs really well.

SweetieTime · 19/06/2013 20:00

Trix I am so pleased all was ok at your scan. It is a shame DH couldn't come with you but well done you on recording it on your phone.

boo any news on K? Hope you managed to get sorted at the Drs.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 19/06/2013 22:52

Trix great scan news! Hope your DH enjoyed his footage.

We got K to the Dr, she has a respiratory viral thingy. Hopefully she will be better soon.

keepitgoing · 20/06/2013 09:40

Oh trix it is hard, I can't imagine really what you're going through. But I think you are doing amazingly. You know that your chance of miscarriage is really low now you're at just about 10 weeks. Have you started to wean off the steroids? I hope that you will start to feel better when you do, though I imagine that is scary in itself, I know I was v nervous when coming off the fanny candles. And I know that you're terrified that they'll find something wrong at 12 weeks, but the chance of that is really really small. You just had awful luck last time with Pebble, but that was a one off. You are in no different a position to anyone else for that, in fact better than most of us as you are v young. Anyway, I hope you know that all I mean by this rambling is that we are all brooking for you, and here to hold your hand for the next couple of weeks.

boo glad that K is diagnosed - she'll be on the mend now, poor little thing.

cartoontrickster · 20/06/2013 13:07

keep you've made me well up a bit there. thank you for your kind words. I'm actually happy to be weaning off my steroids! but I'm on everything else till 16wks. I was actually saying to dh this morning that its so unlikely we will have the same problem again. its gotta be 4th time lucky right!

Boo glad you got the see Dr yesterday. Hope little K is on the mend now.

Trix hope you feel a bit better today after seeing the HB yesterday. It is such a reassuring sight.

I wore maternity trousers for work today, get me, but they were a bit big as I don't have much of a bump so I kept having to hitch them up. Not long til I will be filling them I am sure.
I have also very kindly been offered a couple of baby bits by my line manager who has 2 grandkids but have grown out of them. She has offered me a vibrating bouncer chair and play mat with soft sides and mobile toys hanging over the top. She says she doesn't want any money for them but I feel I should give her something, what do you suggest?

I am off to see dinkMW tomorrow, I have to take a pee sample. Should this be FMU? Or am I thinking too much about pee stick pee IYSWIM.

keepitgoing · 21/06/2013 03:15

Sweetie I agree a bottle of wine should be fine. I can't believe you're in mat clothes already - overtaking me!! I am just wearing the loose clothes I have/unzipping slightly, and bought a couple of long tops to hide that fact.

Sparks - not much sympathy here on the heat front... It can't be that hot? I was out with some ladies here last night who were all moaning about late pregnancy in the tropics. I'm glad I'll be home and miss that i'm sure I'll whinge about how freezing it is

Boo, so happy baby boo is on the mend.

boo did you just call the delish K booby? shame on you Grin Grin Grin so pleased she is getting better

keep i am still in normal stuff really. I wore my normal work trousers earlier in the week and have my normal jeggings on today. It is just nice to be a bit comfier around the middle when sitting for most of the day

thanks for the tips for giving my boss for her baby stuff. I have told DH to accept anything we are offered. he is a bit of a snob so might not but I am more realistic and know how much it will cost

keepitgoing · 21/06/2013 09:10

Heard heart beat this afternoon after 30 secs of searching and me fretting. It was quieter than last time so I fretted till dh said they'd just have had the volume lower!! Blush I bought some baby socks, my first purchase. Super cute.

sweetie I think you'll out-bump me at the meet up if its in August! :)

I think I'm gonna have to restrain dh. He wants to get amongst all else a super duper video long range baby monitor for hundreds of pounds. I have to keep reminding him I Have No Job!! :) bless, he's just excited.

SweetieTime · 21/06/2013 10:45

woo hoo keep great news on the hb, after an anxious wait I imagine. How many beats was kips little heart beating? Do you agree with the thought that different sex babies have different speed hbs? Or is it another myth?

I think there will be no way my bump won't be massive by Aug. I might be only fitting into tents by then. I don't really care as long as everything inside is growing as it should.

MW, it wasn't dinkmw but a stand in who seemed much more switched on, thinks I have a UTI so she has sent my pee to be tested, the glamour of it. Apparently very common in pregnancy, bizarrely I don't have any symptoms again I really do think I must have weak hormones or something.
I got home to find a parcel addressed to me, so I opened it to find a Radley changing bag - have I mentioned I proper luff my DH. So this is our first baby purchase. It is very large so I am sure it will be plenty roomy for all the twins needs. boo or Sparks can you list what goes in a changing bag? I am really that clueless but it would be nice to know for when the time comes.

Apparently after our scan on Monday I will see the twins consultant at the same time. So I better go prepared with all my questions. I might send Dream a note of what she thinks I should ask as she is the Brooking twins expert.

Munxx · 21/06/2013 13:34

Chocolate is essential for your changing bag.

If you are BFing really just nappies, wipes, Muslins and spare clothes!

If FF then your gear for that.

Sorry totally butting in but so excited for all the pg brokers!

SweetieTime · 21/06/2013 13:41

Munxx you may have noticed we need alk the help we can get. I will be able to fit a hell of a lot of chocolate in this bag. I reckon I could fit both twins in it when they are small. Wink I do know you are not really supposed to do that.
