Aww Sweetie yay for getting to tell everyone - how wonderful! I know what you mean about the wiggling and not being able to feel it. It won't be long until you do though.. :)

Lovely to see you over here Solars :)

(I lurk here lots but never get round to posting from my phone - sorry lovely brookers! Rest assured I'm brooking that all grads are having lovely, symptom free, trouble free worry free pregnancies, gearing up for their sneezes)

keepitgoing · 18/06/2013 04:18

sweetie amazing, fabulous, news!! Gosh, they're big... Actually mine was five days ahead at my 13 week scan. How was telling everyone? Did you have any of my weird reluctance, or was all just good fun. Did you drop the pregnancy first, then the twins bit, or all at once?

Congratulations :)

Argh I have just started writing a to do list and it's massive.....

keepitgoing · 18/06/2013 04:25

Hey solars!! So good to see you. I imagine you'll get scanned mid next week - you don't want it too early or you may not see the HB. Your clinic is so full on!!! As for tiredness, I've taken to having a one hour nap after lunch lady of leisure though but even so I'm in bed by 10. We're going out tonight with friends and I'm having a minor panic I'll fall asleep.

As for the mentalling, for the first two weeks I was trying to tell myself I was just happy it had worked and not get too attached yeah right. I had a bit of bleeding at 7+3 and freaked out till I was scanned the next day. I think the truth is there's nothing to make it better except keep your mind off it, and remember each day that goes by is good news.

That's awful Sparks I hope it doesn't last long, just make sure you try to drink plenty, it is too easy to get dehydration. I hope you got to meet your friends. Do you think it is worth mentioning to your mw?

OP posts:
SweetieTime · 18/06/2013 10:20

thanks for all your good wishes and brooking yesterday it obviously worked. I am quite sore, feel bruised almost, across my tummy. The dr was quite firm with the probe especially as one twin kept turning over and was camera shy. keep did you feel like this after your scan?

sparks sorry your sickness has returned. I would say it is worth a call to the mw. hope it goes off a bit and you can meet your friends

Solars lovely to see you over here. Have they told you when they will scan you? I was so nervous at first as I had womble aches for ages and was convinced af was about to arrive. The nurse said it could be the progesterone or everything stretching to make room. so try not to worry if you get the odd niggles. hope it is starting to sink in. I am still so pleased for you.

I don't think I did sweetie, but then you've got two in there. I suppose it depends where they are. I was so pleased not to have a dildo cam, my first tummy scan!!

I think I've mildly pulled something low in my groin. It's a bit twingey but only one side so I don't think its ligament pain. Will lay off exercises till its better.

Poor sparks.

Solars · 18/06/2013 11:47

That is fantastic scan news Sweetie I bet you're breathing a big sigh of relief! I am very nervous. They haven't given me a date yet for a scan but assume it will be sometime next week. I'm getting a few twinges here and there but so far so good.

Sparkes you poor thing, hope you feel better soon and are able to meet your friends.

Keep we're cautiously happy at the moment but I tell you these blood tests every other day is a little nerve racking to say the least. Thankfully I've a bit of work today to keep me busy until they call later. Have fun and try to stay awake this evening!

SweetieTime · 18/06/2013 17:09

Solars hope you are getting used to posting in here!! Twinges are very normal, I had strange cramps near my hip bones for ages. I was convinced I was having an eptopic but obviously not. How is MrS coping with the news?

Sparks did you perk up this afternoon? I am keeping my fingers crossed for a sick free day tomorrow for you.

Keep light swimming might help with the ligament damage.

Sparks I think I must have had a similar experience to you on the scan front. At least with fanjo scans they are quite gentle. I am sure I am bruised on my tummy, every time I rolled my chair up to my desk today I could feel in on my sensitive tummy. I hope it hasn't hurt the twins.

cartoontrickster · 18/06/2013 18:04

sweetie glad your scan was so amazing! how cute seeing them both wriggling about.
strange that you feel so battered, I've never had that but I've had some fairly rough fanny cams!
so when u have my scan on thrus ill be 9+5, will we see movement?

Face I had a scan at exactly 9+4. It looks quite baby like, and there was lots of movement, more like dancing and boxing than somersaults. They measured and we heard the hb. It was lovely.

Have also had some rough fanny cams. My worst was maybe that 9+4 one as they maneuvered to see the baby!

Good news on the heavy feelings sparks! He has two days to be early, better get started!!

cartoontrickster · 19/06/2013 04:10

keep they did fanny cam at that stage?!
I remember my 8+6 scan last time looked quite baby like I thought more so than the 8+2 I had this time. Didn't see movements at either. I remember seeing the first little movements but I was over 10wks at that scan. I always think that whilest their still so small and growing and developing constantly that a few days could make a big difference. I really hope we see a bit of a wriggle!

keepitgoing · 19/06/2013 08:01

I hope so too! But if not don't worry. Tbh if he hadn't pointed it out I'd have thought it was just being moved, rather than moving.

Yes, they did fanny cam. Maybe they just prefer it here, I think you can see more? Maybe also as they were checking my giant ivf ovaries had gone down, don't know.

cartoontrickster · 19/06/2013 11:17

they've changed my scan I'm having it today at 3.10pm so dh won't be able to come Angry .
I guess its just the preference of whoever's doing it I was suprised my scan last time was a belly one she just said she prefers it that way and that luckily she could see mine really clearly I was 8+2 so really expected fanny cam.

SweetieTime · 19/06/2013 12:10

good luck for the scan Trix can your mum go with you?

cartoontrickster · 19/06/2013 12:13

my dads coming because he'll drive me so I won't be alone. just feels strange that dh won't be there.

keepitgoing · 19/06/2013 12:44

Oh that's sads he can't be there. But good luck!! Enjoy.

SweetieTime · 19/06/2013 12:44

at least you will have someone there with you. hope it all goes well and you see treat moving around in there

keepitgoing · 19/06/2013 12:50
