I have an ergo, and I love it!

Getting exciting now sparks....... I too did the beauty routine just before I had ds. However, dd took me my surprise when she was born. We were building the crib and packing my bag while I was in full on labour. So I was very untended Blush

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 08/06/2013 19:10

I have a Joy and Joe sling, it is a stretchy one, lovely to wear and cheap too, under £20 if I remember right. I'm looking at ring slings next :)

Good luck finding a sun hat.

sparks what a ridiculous comment from your SIL. She'll see how awesome little boys are soon enough, and be green with envy. but let's be honest, teenage boys are not sweet smelling, eh boo

I really hope that twinkle comes soon. If not, I'd just lie in the sunshine, watch DVDs, etc.

sweetie i think it's just a week till your scan now! Nearly there, my lovely. I must say I am so much calmer about things since the scan, and time is going faster (not that that's hard!)

can i ask sparks, boo and anyone else lurking with babies about bonding with the baby. When did this happen for you? I am 15+3, and obv can't feel anything yet, so it all feels a bit abstract. I am over the moon to be pregnant, enjoying pregnancy and everything, but I don't feel bonded to the baby. Does that make sense? Is that bad? Normal? I think it'll be easier once i can feel movement, but as i have an anterior placenta I understand that can not be until 22 weeks or so.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 10/06/2013 08:01

That makes perfect sense Keep I felt distant from booby until after my 20 week scan. I think it is because until then it is a worry, you worry until your 12 week scan then you start again before your 20 week, I think it was after that, I could feel proper kicks and moves had a proper bump and you know that baby is ok you can relax and enjoy it the bond just happens.

Boys do smell a bit lot when they get to 15!! But I will just add that K is no sweet smelling princess, the sounds and smells that come out of her are amazing Grin

That's the point though isn't it Sparks ALL babies smell, girls are no better than boys until we marry one and it becomes clear we are clearly better Grin

Keep I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel anything until about 22/23 weeks. It made me worried going into the 20 week scan as I wasn't told it was anterior at the 12 week scan. Once you start feeling movement then it really does make you realise that there is an actual, living person growing inside you.

Sparks bounce up and down and also rotate your hips in as wide a circle as possible. The rotating helps to push Twinks' head down on your cervix to encourage dilation. I think it stimulates the release of the hormones that start labour.

SweetieTime · 10/06/2013 12:52

I am a bit worried about feeling the movement and kicks. I hope it doesn't freak me out. I have visions of Alien in my head.

RubberBullets · 10/06/2013 12:57

It is strange at first but lovely, honest.

keepitgoing · 10/06/2013 13:22

Thanks rubber, I'm glad you felt sth, some ladies say they feel almost nothing.

sweetie yours will be kicking each other playing doubles tennis

I think all babies smell yummy yummy yummy (spot who's never changed a nappy!)
