my dh is a real wuss but he picks up dog poo so I am sure he will cope. I did work out we would be changing about 140 nappies a week Shock Shock Shock so we better get used to it

keepitgoing · 06/06/2013 12:57

Ooh sparks!!! Was that a BH? Brooking he comes v soon.

Ha ha to buying a pool. I don't even have a job, and its looking unlikely I'll get one at six months when we are home... I was just saying to dh how will I cope with Birmingham public pools...

SweetieTime · 06/06/2013 13:53

Sparks I can not believe you have kept that episode from us, it sounds like a practice session to me. Twinks is obviously giving you warning that he is on his way. I think he has read the Brooking manual on the sly, but is just testing you. I really hope he comes soon.

I am just enjoying some loads chocolate raisins, well my book says raisins are a good source of iron and surely they count as at least one of your 5 a day, especially if you eat enough of them Grin nom nom nom

Munxx · 06/06/2013 13:58

Hello ladies!

Just popping in to see how you all are.

trix you sound exactly like I was! I actually kept putting off my early scan/booking in appointments as I was so frightened of actually being pg. losses do that you. Small milestones, you're doing well. Remember, a heartbeat at 6 weeks is a very good sign!

sweetie ten weeks wow! That's flown in. I second the hair band technique. I was into mat clothes at 8 weeks with ds!

keep again it seems like yesterday you had your bfp! Hope you are well.

boo, bullets, dream great to hear your news. I also just stick ds down while I go to the loo, dd follows me however.....

And hello to all other brookers!

keepitgoing · 06/06/2013 16:31

munx it feels ages to me... I'm 15 weeks tomorrow though :) how old are your two?

Just brushed my teeth, and bleeding gums, first time for this. Is it to do with pregnancy?

SweetieTime · 06/06/2013 17:07

keep i think it is a preggo thing. Do you have a dentist over there? Not sure there is much you can do other than switch to a softer brush

omg sweetie how cute is that pup! thanks for sharing.
hi munx I'm glad its not just me being stupid! thanks for understanding, its very hard.
keep its a preggo thing gums bleed more easily in pregnancy, but I can't remember why. mine are getting bad but I'm starting to gag and feel suck when brushing and flossing. preggos get free dental care, I must sort mine. but don't know if they do that where you are.

RubberBullets · 06/06/2013 17:22

Yes, gums can bleed more easily while pregnant. Make sure you visit your dentist and hygienist regularly and that you take good care of your teeth. Plenty of flossing to help your gums.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 06/06/2013 17:52

Corsodyl mouth wash can help with the gums too. As the others said, it is a pregnancy thing.

I know sparks I will defo drop by the docs after my scan on mon and get the ball rolling. sorting out the dentist is another thing that scares me. anything were I have to tell people I'm pregnant basically terrifys me.
do I really need to tell the girl I'm pregnant when I go for my bikini wax?!

RubberBullets · 06/06/2013 18:38

Your skin can be more sensitive while pregnant so it may hurt a bit more than normal Trix

cartoontrickster · 06/06/2013 18:47

oh really, shit as if us ladies don't have to suffer enough already! god I'm such a wimp with waxing.

RubberBullets · 06/06/2013 18:52

Take paracetamol before you go

DreamingOfAFullNightsSleep · 06/06/2013 20:27

Sling is invaluable imo :) . I love my Boba 3G, they all still use it too. I used to have a baby in by 8am every morning when mine were smaller and crankier... I also had a moby when they were little, but didn't get on with it so well, wanted to tandem sling but couldn't fathom it out, though musical loves hers. jaggy has a manduca and I'm tempted by one of those. I used to have an ergo (borrowed). Anything like that is ace and will see you through to toddlerhood. I can now take a single buggy, baby on my back, dd on buggy board for ease of access. Plus they fight, scream, writhe, are wrestled into the damn buggy but happily sit on my back- for a bit at least... Never a fight to sling them :)

I epilated in pregnancy and didn't think it was much different trix hope the waxing goes well... Eek!

Y y to bleeding gums. The trials of pregnancy...

keepitgoing · 07/06/2013 03:13

Thanks all, I only went to the dentist ten days ago, he said a slight gingivitis but nothing to worry about.

I have put on 1.5kg! Hit the 60 kilo mark today :)

Gosh dream you sound like a super mum!

Sparks MrS is really looking after you. Just take it easy and just do what you feel like. Make sure you put plenty of sun cream on as it is going to be a warm one!!

Keep sounds like the weight is going in the right direction. I was weighted earlier in the week and still the same, not sure how much longer last.

Dream thanks for all the sling info, I am making notes of slings and buggies for future reference. I have also found a sling library really near where I work on a Wednesday. So I am thinking of popping along there at some point. I defo think I will be investing if it helps me out.

I have to go to hospital this afternoon about my non clotty blood. I am hoping it will just be a case of giving up more blood for testing. I will see what they say. I must remember not to drop my pants as this is a different sort of Dr than the one I am used to seeing. You sort of just get into the habit Wink
