Wow this thread has grown - 200 already!!!

So sorry for the ladies having spotting. Its so worrying, even when you have been told by a midwife its, normal. Chocco you are doing the right thing contacting someone tomorrow no matter what - its the only way to get proper peace of mind, especially following your previous experience. Thinking of u and all the other ladies with spotting! Thanks

Have we heard from Humpty yet or have I missed her messages?

Pea omg falling asleep at my desk would be an understatement. 12 hour day today - am beyond cream crackered! Going to have a bath to warm up then bed for me! Bliss! Glad you are feeling crappy again today!

Heartburn has been a wicked little biatch the last two days! Rennies are my new friend (although they make me gag)....

Foodylicious · 14/05/2013 20:43

Anyone in need for a giggle I just had a quick peek on the babyname thread --McJesus , what a great name!

Sultanajo · 14/05/2013 20:44

Foody that really tickled me! Hilarious! I may steal thay one! Wink

Alexandersalittlemonkey · 14/05/2013 20:45

So, I've been lurking for the past couple of weeks and figure I should probably say hello.

I got my bfp a few weeks ago so I'm just over 6 weeks gone and think my edd is about 5 Jan. This will be no 2 as my eldest is now 5.

Still getting used to it as we weren't really trying but v excited as I always hoped I'd have 2 children so fingers crossed everything goes ok.

Went to the dr last week and I'm booked in to see the midwife on 29 May, apparently you can't see them til 8/9weeks.

Not told anyone yet and I'm trying to see how long I can last before I can't keep the secret in any longer! Should be easy to keep it from my family as no one lives anywhere near me and I'm quite enjoying it as last time I let people know straight away.

SpecificDreamRabbit · 14/05/2013 20:45

McJesus! Shock

Flowers for you, Chocco. I know it's hard, but try to stay positive, as spotting is so common!

sarahleanne · 14/05/2013 20:45

Yey someone a similar age to me mrsgsr :)
am I the only one not getting a private scan? :( I feel left out now lol

SpecificDreamRabbit · 14/05/2013 20:46

Crosspost, welcome littlemonkey! It's fun having a little secret, isn't it? Smile

SpecificDreamRabbit · 14/05/2013 20:47

Sarah, I'm not having a private scan either! Happy to wait until the NHS one. I especially don't want one of those 3D ones - so creepy!

LittlePeaPod · 14/05/2013 20:50

Sultanajo. Thank you again Grin. Yeassssss. The sickly feeling is continuing and today was a bit worse than yesterday. Grin. I slept like a log and DF had to wake me up..... Anyway, come 9am (just as i have landed at work)start feeling tired and by 11am struggling to stay awake... Had to tell people I had a funny bug... The lies we tell.. Have you got a new symptom / friend in the old heartburn?

Don't think we have heard from Humpty. FX I went we'll for her...

sarah i am not getting a private scan. Think dh would think I was a loon for suggesting it as at the moment there is no need. Its my first pg so have no previous issues and havent really got any worrying symptoms yet (although cramps panic me even tho everyone says they are normal). I dont think an early scan will stop me from worrying either! Really hope these next few weeks fly by, but go away for a week next sat so that will use up some worry time!

Am not sure if I missed the age thing, but I am 27 and so is dh.

MrsAVB · 14/05/2013 20:58

Welcome and congrats alex!
I'm not having a private scan sarah, I don't think it would reassure me, plus I have better things cake to spend my money on. But I can totally understand why others do.
Tonight I have really crampy legs... Boo...
X

SpecificDreamRabbit · 14/05/2013 21:00

Oh, MrsAVB, I've had really crampy, restless legs for the past few evenings. Was wondering if it was a pregnancy symptom or just coincidence!

Sultanajo · 14/05/2013 21:09

Sarah I will hold off private scan too I think unless I weaken at ten weeks unless I have something that really concerns me...

Pea yup! Not even sure why as not eating any of the foods that normally bring it on with me - its hitting me in the evening. Marvellous!

Welcome Alex xxx

Penny31 · 14/05/2013 21:23

choc hugs to you, try and stay positive. Like everyone says, brown blood is normal but I know it's impossible not to worry.

I've been shopping tonight and now I'm so tired, but I'm so much better than last night when I threw up my dinner and went to bed in tears because I felt so bad! I hope it's normal for symptoms to come and go. Boobs arent sore either :(I'm still slightly nauseous and off all sorts of food so assuming all is well.....

Sultanajo · 14/05/2013 21:27

Penny I too have moments of feeling slightly better and start to feel relieved, but then freak out in case it means something bad and start frantically poking at my boobs like a crazy woman. But then suddenly nausea will hit me like a train again and I relax and then wish I felt a bit better! Never happy!!!Wink

Penny31 · 14/05/2013 21:29

Haha so true! Will remain positive and enjoy the break from feeling awful. I bet to or row I'm bad again!

MoreBoober · 14/05/2013 21:53

Hey Choco hang in there, fingers crossed for you.
Well I had a call from the midwife today who told me that she wants to do my booking in visit next week! So I'II be having my 10 week booking visit next Monday when I'II be 5 weeks because she's going back to working in the hospital and is trying to get all her paperwork done before hand.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 14/05/2013 23:02
