I try not to eat from buffets. Filthy things!

blondebaby111 · 14/05/2013 17:35

Hi everyone, just noticed this thread. I'm 5+1 and last week my boobs were huge and swollen but today they seemed to have gone down alo stressing myself with all the lack of symptoms!
Had first docs visit today and he was a miserable so and so, had a few questions but sadly I didn't bother, don't think he wouldk?e been very helpful. Just got to wait for a midwife call now. Will they send you for an early scan if its took you a long time to concieve as these nxt 7 weeks are gonna be torture until my scan Shock and just know I'm gonna worry xx

Foodylicious · 14/05/2013 17:46

Welcome blonde re early scan, i dont think they send you early unless you have had a few mc's. lots of peeps on here have gone for private ones at about 7/8wks costs about 80-150 depending on where you live.
your local hops (depending on where you will) probably has an early pregnancy unit (EPU) you can contact if you have any problems, your midwife will bw able to tell you more.
re symptoms coming and going, i have been a complete nightmare stressing myself out the last couple of weeks and after some bloody discharge i ended up having a scan yesterday as i had got myself into a right state. Everything was fine, and i had my booking in scan with MW today am somewhere between 6-8 weeks, dates are a bit ??? and too early to say from scan really.
Sooo try not to worry too much (though i am sure you will woryya bit, wee all have much mentalling episodes!)

HabitualHobbyist · 14/05/2013 17:46

Grr, just had to stand for nearly half an hour on the train. Managed to find a corner to prop myself up half way through - much to the visible annoyance of an older (though not elderly) lady who had her eye on it too. Can't wait to start showing properly to guilt people into letting me sit down Wink

TobyLerone · 14/05/2013 17:54

:( Habitual

blondebaby111 · 14/05/2013 18:05

Thanx for that foody, i didn't know you could pay for a private scan..it may be something i'll look into. The symptom spotting is awful isn't it, made worse by DP asking every day how i'm feeling, any more symptoms and then i start panicking lol when i tell him today i feel great, then he goes into a panic about my lack of symptoms...i guess enjoy this period while it lasts!! i may be back in a few weeks cursing that my head is down the toilet twenty four seven Shock. So glad everything went well at your scan, did u get to see the heartbeat?? hope you feel ok now xx

chocoloulou33 · 14/05/2013 18:17

Ugh please help. I've just had brown cm when wiping. I know they say brown is old blood but this is exactly how my m/c started :( was brown blood for a couple of weeks then turned to red. Am so scared, feel so sick & worried :'( x

cosmickitten · 14/05/2013 18:17

Re cheese, eggs food etc. I was sure that I wouldn't let myself be one of those paraniod pregnant women.

Turns out I was wrong, I'm not willing to take even the smallest chance. My head is sure a slighlty runny egg will be fine but my heart says no.

I even have caffeine free teabags..........didn't see myself doing that. Turns out pregnancy makes me worry more than I thought it ever could.

Foodylicious · 14/05/2013 18:20

blonde yes did get to see the heartbeat, was ace! feeling ok now, still got -warning TMI alert- brown discharge and the pain is bothering me, feels like something wants to fall out! sure its fine though, but I have taken a couple of days off to rest physically and emotionaly, has essays due in and an exam yeasterday so it all been pretty full on here.

cosmickitten · 14/05/2013 18:27

would like to be a serene and calm pregnant lady. Am a bit disappointed with myself.

LittlePeaPod · 14/05/2013 18:30

Chocco. I know you are panicking and I totally understand why. But it's brown and not red. Can you get to see doctor tomorrow? Flowers.

SunnySentiments · 14/05/2013 18:35

Choco I had the same thing last night and a bit this morning. I my local MW unit and was reassured that unless accompanied by pain/cramps, or if it turned red or had clots all should be ok.

It's so worrying, even more so when your helpless to do anything about it. Could you phone for EPU for reassurance and maybe get an early scan given your previous mc?

LittlePeaPod · 14/05/2013 18:35

Also welcome come and congratulations to all the new ladies. Flowers

Reall sorry for been rude and not reading update posts ladies but I don feel to clever today. Totally exhausted and feeling queasy. Dinner and bed for me tonight...

Humpty. Hope your test went well today.

glad you have taken some time off to rest foody, hope your less stressed now although easier said than done xx

cosmickitten · 14/05/2013 18:37

Chocco sorry just seen your post. I feel bad being moan for no good reason.

I'm so sorry that this happening to you, given your history can you get to an epu for some reassurance? If not second pea dr's in am.

Foodylicious · 14/05/2013 18:40

choco i would ring your EPU in the morning and ask them to get you in for a scan you reassure you, I am experiencing the same and my scan at EPU was ok yesterday, but its hard not to worry i know!

chocoloulou33 · 14/05/2013 18:44

I'm gonna have to see if I continues but yes I'll be on phone to doc or epu if it doesn't stop. When it happened last time they gave me a blood test & hcg was doubling every 48 hours etc so all looked good then it went from brown to red just after I'd been reassasured it was all ok. Sorry don't mean to bring anyone down & I don't wanna feAr the worst, just so hard to stay positive but I'm trying x

LittlePeaPod · 14/05/2013 18:57

Chocco you are not bringing everyone down. Remember rule number one on the thread is 'we are here for each other and a support thread through good, worrying and sad' moments.

It makes it so hard when you have experienced a mc because you remember what happened and anything similar or close to it sends you into meltdown. Has it eased off? I would still call EPU or docs to talk through your worries.

OP posts:
Frizz1986 · 14/05/2013 18:59

choco try not to fear the worst.
I know previous experience will be playing on your mind but stay positive and def speak to epu or docs in the morn.

Foodylicious · 14/05/2013 19:00

Anyone know what it is safe to take for IBS in pregnancy? if I can share TMIam getting increasingly constipated and sooo bloated! would normaly take colpermin and/or senna.
What should I be adding to my diet? not had much of an appetite this week or felt much like cooking so not eaten anything very exiting (unlike last week where i ate all day).

MissMedusa · 14/05/2013 19:10

For choco and anyone else with spotting, apparently 25% of healthy pregnancies will experience some spotting which means 1 in 4 of us on this thread will have it. Considering we're over 50 people by now that means at least 10 of us will experience some spotting at some point and be perfectly fine. I had some brown spotting early on around implantation and a drop of red blood last week after dtd so have done a lot of research. Not sure if that helps you but I usually find some comfort in the numbers.

MissMedusa · 14/05/2013 19:12

foody I'm eating dried prunes on a daily basis and I think they do help some.

Foodylicious · 14/05/2013 19:15

thanks miss on both comments!

LittlePeaPod · 14/05/2013 19:39

choco, lots of love. It's a worrying time, don't ever feel bad for bringing your worries here. We got your back girlfriend
foody I have IBS too but don't medicate, just eliminate the trigger foods. Weirdly I've found my IBS has been better since I've been PG but that might just be because I'm vomming all the time.
