mtb so sorry about your news. FX crossed that the next one will be very sticky indeed.

SadPander · 20/05/2013 20:19

MTB and halfbaked I'm so sorry for your sad news. I hope that you are both as well as you can be under the circumstances. Flowers

Gingys sorry that you are going through this stress, hopefully as others have said there could be an innocent explanation and happy ending for you. I really hope so and will be thinking of you.

Penny I totally sympathies with the seemingly endless wait for 1st appointment and scan! I'm 8 weeks and my first appointment and scan are both together on the 14th June, I haven't seen or spoken to a GP or MW at all and it just seems crazy. Actually makes me feel like I'm not really pregnant at all and is making it quite had for it to sink in!

SadPander · 20/05/2013 20:22

Oh forgot to say, have been chomping on melon and carrot sticks all day long (I feel sick as soon as I get hungry, and I'm always hungry at the mo) determined not to put any weight on before my appointment and scan to try and minimize the embarrassment of my high BMI!

gemma277 · 20/05/2013 20:34

I understand completely sadpander. Im hungry all the time too but lean more towards chocolate and biscuits, not good must stop! My bmi is a bit high too, dreading the scales! I never lost the weight after DD1 don't want it to be the same this time.

banzanga · 20/05/2013 20:37

So sorry to hear MTB's and halfbaked's news Flowers

Hope everyone has had a relatively good Monday - first day in work knowing I am pregnant - I was really aware of what I was eating and trying to slow down when normally I would be buzzing around eating any old junk!

banzanga · 20/05/2013 20:38

Sadpander and gemma277 feel your pain on the high BMI -I need to change my ways!

sarahleanne · 20/05/2013 20:46

Ok so I've asked dh if we can get an early scan ( costs £100 here) and he told me to stop being paranoid and everything will be ok and doesn't want to waste money. :( I know he's got a point, it's a lot of money to spend to c a blob on a screen but the reassurance would be nice. And to make it worse I'm gunna have to ask to wait for my first nhs scan until just over 13 weeks because he's on a course. Anyone else waiting until there 12 week scan and opting out of the early scans?

Sorry to hear about the bad news today .... Keep trying :) and I hope u get sticky beans soon.

Mullin1982 · 20/05/2013 20:49

Hello everyone :) I got my first ever BFP today, 1-2 weeks on Clear Blue Digital! I've been bouncing off the walls all day.. I can't make it sink in at all - very much excited about my journey over the next 9 months :) xx

chocoholicalcoholic · 20/05/2013 20:59

MTB and HalfBaked - I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. Please look after yourselves, take one day at a time. You will be missed on this thread x

Yonionekanobe · 20/05/2013 21:13

So sorry MBT and halfbaked x

Toothfairy78 · 20/05/2013 21:14

Hi everyone,
I got my BFP 3 weeks ago. DH and I really chuffed but waiting for it to sink and feel real. Anyone else feeling a bit surreal?

TarkaTheOtter · 20/05/2013 21:15

Flowers mtb and halfbaked. Be kind to yourselves.

sarahleanne I'm not having an early scan. I don't think it would reassure me as I have heard (on here) about people miscarrying between their reassurance scan and 12 week scan. Obviously I would if I had any concerns but otherwise just keeping everything crossed.

frizz I'm an exception to your (Emma's diary's) ms fact. With my dd I had no ms or nausea til 8/9 weeks then vomited up to 10 times a day up to 16 weeks. Fun times!

TarkaTheOtter · 20/05/2013 21:17

Congratulations Mullin1982 and Toothfairy78

LittlePeaPod · 20/05/2013 21:26

Hi ladies

Hope you are all well. I am exhausted and came to lie down about 8pm but wanted to came on to check on scan and blood results.

halfbaked and MTB I am so sorry for your lose. My thoughts are with you both and your DHs. It's such a difficult and heartbreaking experience. Hope to see you on another thread soon. Please let' us know how you are getting on. Sad Flowers

gingy. Really sorry to hear that. So stressful but hopefully all will have moved on by Monday... Flowers

extra huge congratulations and really pleased for you... I bet you are bouncing off the walls.. My sonograher said if you see a heartbeat at 8 weeks its 98% you carry full term.....

MrsGSR. Good luck for tomorrow..

Sultanajo. Good luck for Wednesday.

Congratulations to all new ladies with gorgeous BFPs Flowers

Welcome Mullins, you found us!

Sarah we are waiting until 12 week scan too, wont be until July Hmmhurry up time

I havnt been to gp yet or referred to midwife so hasn't really sunk in either

sarahleanne · 20/05/2013 21:34

Time is so gunna drag until July....hurry up already lol.
Feeling surreal here too!!! I know I'm pregnant but I just don't 'feel' it yet.

Frizz1986 · 20/05/2013 21:39

Welcome to all the new members!

Oh no tarka Was really hoping it might be true and I might be safe. Well that was before I started to feel really sick tonight. Am hoping it's just the half a chicken I ate but the thought of any food is currently making me feel awful and have almost been sick twice.

sarah I am not having an early scan either. I don't think it will make me worry any less as I know things can go wrong between the reassurance scan and the 12 week dating scan. Am just keeping my fx that all will be ok once the scan arrives.

MrsGSR · 20/05/2013 21:41

sarah I know what you mean about not feeling pregnant, I do a little bit physically (back ache, bloating and sore boobs!) but mentally I still don't believe it!

SpecificDreamRabbit · 20/05/2013 21:48

So sorry, MTB and halfbaked Sad

Welcome to the new ladies, and congrats!

I am another one not having an early scan - I will save the money I would have spent and buy some cute baby clothes with it Grin

Had my first food aversion today! Had a few mouthfuls of a glass of diet coke... and didn't like it any more. Tasted really artificial and wierd!

sarahleanne · 20/05/2013 21:52

Yeah for some reason I keep worrying about a missed miscarriage, where u think everything's ok and u get to the scan and it's not ok, totally irrational, I've been ok up until today I don't know why I feel so paranoid... Maybe just having an off day.
Mrsgsr - I'm glad I'm not the only one, I have symptoms but just not feeling it yet, ha. Good luck for scan tomorrow, I think it's u, I'm losing track. Lol.

LittlePeaPod · 20/05/2013 21:59

Specific I am with you on the food aversion except I just don't want anything. Everything just makes me feel blughh! I normally love fod. [Sad] Having to force feed myself something for baby's sake......

lovelilies · 20/05/2013 21:59

Another one who cant really believe I'm pregnant...
I did get told I 'look pregnant' today by a colleague though, I just said I'm knackered from 2 13 hour shifts in a row and a cold!Shock
Told my boss today because oh Thursday we're moving wards and I don't want to be lugging boxes of IV fluids around! She said (in jest) you'll do anything to get Christmas off!!! Grin

MrsGSR · 20/05/2013 22:02

Sarah yeah I do have a scan tomorrow. And I'm also completely paranoid there will be nothing there!

sarahleanne · 20/05/2013 22:04

Or there may be 2 gsr :)!!

TobyLerone · 20/05/2013 22:28

Specific, I'm definitely with you on the food aversions. Pretty much my entire meal plan for this week is beige. Toad in the hole, cauli cheese, homemade pie, arancini etc.
But Diet Coke has always tasted horrible! :o

:( sarahleanne. I'd say 'bollocks' to DH if he wouldn't let me have an early scan and then had the nerve to try to make me delay the 12 week one, but that is because I am a horrible cow.

Good luck tomorrow, MrsG!

I can't keep up with who's got which scans/tests on what day Blush

I'm really suffering with pain in my stomach the past few days. I have been on medication for gastritis for about a year, but can't take it now. So I've just got to put up with the pain. It feels like I've been winded, IYKWIM. Like my stomach is bruised.
In related news, Gaviscon tablets are bloody horrible!
