Yay, great news extra. I say...you don't have to leave the group on the condition that.... you distribute choco's Avon books? Grin

Blonde I'm 6 weeks too & not heard anything from midwife. Might not for ages yet apparently. I didn't even get to see GP as I was 10min late for my appointment due to traffic & he wouldn't see me!

I've booked a private scan for just over 8 weeks. Only costs £60 at a clinic near us which I found through Google & I thought was a bargain for a bit of peace of mind.

gemma277 · 20/05/2013 12:16

Extra congrats! Thats excellent news.

Re midwife app. they don't tend to give you them until at least 8 weeks according to NHS. The wait is horrendous !

Im in London and checked out early reassurance scans and the cheapest I can find is £150. Not sure whether its worth it, or just hang in there another month, hmmm.

fryingpantoface · 20/05/2013 12:22

Hello everyone!

I'm having a wobble and a panic as my symptoms have gone. I think it's normal, but can't help but worry. I'll get a grip I'm sure!

I've also woken up with a stinking cold. My ds gave it to me, the love!

I'm planning on going to asda and getting the things for a roast lamb dinner tonight, I really fancy one.

What else is everyone doing today?

gingysmummy · 20/05/2013 12:25

Hi, just back
not very good news had scan they are unsure if i'm only 5 weeks or the preg hasn't developed past 5 weeks, they could only see an empty yolk.i've to go back for a scan on the 3rd june but doesn't look hopeful.did a cb dig test to when af was last and it said 4-5 weeks now only saying 1-2 weeks.don't know if this is cos i've lost my baby or cos i drank 2lte water and urine more diluted. very stressful time just now

fryingpantoface · 20/05/2013 12:25

Forgot to add, just woken up from a 2 hour nap on the sofa. Ds is still asleep at the moment so I'm watching grand designs.

So I've still got the tiredness symptom

TobyLerone · 20/05/2013 12:27

Brilliant news, extra! :)

fryingpan, I'm sure it's normal for symptoms to come and go. Try not to worry (easier said than done!)

I'm sitting in Sainsbury's car park trying to work up the energy to actually go in and do the shopping!

TobyLerone · 20/05/2013 12:28

I'm sorry, gingys :(

MrsAVB · 20/05/2013 12:31

gingy so sorry you've had a worrying scan. 3rd June is a long time to wait! I think other ladies up thread who have had similar experiences (who will hopefully be along soon!) have talked about having blood tests to show whether pg hormone levels are going up/ down as expected, is this something you've had/ been offered?
Lots of love... Xxx

lovelilies · 20/05/2013 12:34

Sad gingy please try not to worry about the scan, mine just showed an empty sac on Friday which they reckon is 5 weeks, but beta hcg levels rising steeply so seems ok... did they check your levels?

Frizz1986 · 20/05/2013 12:45

Thats great news extra I think u can stay in this group. You can be the forefront and let us know what's coming!
Sorry u havent had conclusive news gingy Hopefully it's what love said and your levels are still going up. I will have my fingers crossed that 3rd June Comes around very fast for you.

I have felt rather iffy this morning so not sure if this could be the start of ms (am now 6+3) Read online that if it doesn't arrive by the end of week 6 then there is a good chance u won't get it at all.
Have managed to eat a lot of grapes thought and am going to have toast for lunch. The thought of everything else makes me feel a bit weird.
Boobs have started to get a bit more sore and i think my areolas have started to get bigger. It looks really weird as there is a bit of a paler circle appearing around the edge (disclaimer: i could be imagining all this)
Keeping my fx for everyone who is waiting for news, scans, results or just feels like utter crap!

cosmickitten · 20/05/2013 12:45

Gingy my scan showed that I was nearly a week less pregnant than my dates made me, so there is hope. As lovelies suggests ask for blood test to give some more info before the 3rd June.

I'm starting to feel like things might be ok. I've had no bleeding for the last 48hrs and have been up and about, more or less as normal. Getting a little worried as I seem to either be very sick for ages or absolutely fine for ages. Feeling fine is a bit scary but I think the fine and dire cycle is perhaps normal for me.

extracrunchy · 20/05/2013 13:02

Gingy I had exactly the same experience a couple of weeks ago and just had second scan this morning and all good, so really could just be funny dates. All kinds of things factor in - date of implantation, date of ovulation, how long egg or sperm were waiting around to encounter each other... So I'd stay positive for now. I really do feel for you though - the wait is horrendous. Xx

chocoloulou33 · 20/05/2013 13:11

Yey extra that's good news! U can stay in our group! U must! Am sure we r sooooo much nicer than the dec lot lol. I won't make u deliver my avon books honest!
gingys that's rly odd they didn't offer u the blood tests to check your hcg. That's usually the first thing they'd do I would of thought. Maybe ring gp & ask. Otherwise its such a long wait for u. Was it a private scan or was u scanned early for a particular reason? X

MissMedusa · 20/05/2013 13:12

Excellent new extra I'm so happy for you.

gingy I'm sorry you didn't get better news but don't worry too much yet, we've seen similar situations on this thread and all has turned out ok. Could your dates be off?

frizz that's interting information regarding the morning sickness. I guess I'm in the clear as I'm 7 weeks today as not really had any nausea. Naturally, being the crazy person that I am, I've been jealous of all of you complaining of being sick while I've had very few symptom to reassure me that I'm still pregnant. How ridiculous is that!

CatchAsCatchCan · 20/05/2013 13:19

Hi ladies, thought I'd toss my hat in the ring, as I'm 5+3 today. We have been trying for bloody ages, and had an ectopic last September, so I'm alternating between excited and super anxious. Have had a tiny bit of cramping (may have been more wind than anything but can't be sure) and some light brown CM, so more anxious than excited atm. Had an appointment with my GP today (useless, scatterbrained woman) who referred me for a scan; I told her it needed to be 6 weeks, but she made it for Wednesday, when I'll only be 5+5. Angry Ugh. So I guess I'll find out if bean is in the right place, but probably won't see a heartbeat, which is what I'm craving! If they don't offer me another one soon, I'll probably do a private scan. Does anyone else find themselves totally unable to stop searching google etc. about little problems, despite knowing that none of the results will be reassuring? I need to get off the internet, lol.

Anyway, hiya!

gingysmummy · 20/05/2013 13:20

hi,no they never offered me blood tests which i thought they would of maybe just a really crap epu,i ever thought to ask as my mind was a whirlwind.can't really see my dates being of unless i'm later at ovulating than i thought, going back to work on wed night trying to keep my mind occupied

MrsAVB · 20/05/2013 13:34

Hi catch, welcome and congrats!
gingy sending you lots of love. If you don't think you can wait til the 3rd (I wouldn't be able to!), could you ring midwife or GP, explain about the home preg test you've done and ask re. blood tests or another scan sooner? It's a long time to worry
Xxx

Frizz1986 · 20/05/2013 14:05

medusa I read it on the Emmas diary website which is from the booklet I got from the midwife on my first appointment. Not sure how true it all is but hoping I might be safe if it doesn't arrive this week. Will make my 10 hour flight on Saturday much easier if I am not vomiting lol.

extracrunchy · 20/05/2013 14:07

Gingy they didn't do my bloods either...
Catch - yes! Me! I'm on google most of the time nowadays and it only ever makes me worry more!

gemma277 · 20/05/2013 14:14

ahhh gingy, sorry to hear that, hope you feel better soon! And do try and get a blood test done, its horrible not knowing!

Hi catch and welcome aboard!

cosmickitten · 20/05/2013 14:36

gingy my scan showed a conception date on day 18 of 27 cycle so it is possible. My husband is feeling very chuffed with himself as he ran a marathon a day before!!

MrsGSR · 20/05/2013 15:45

extra so pleased to hear your scan went well!

fryingpan my symptoms are coming and going, I don't think it's anything to worry about. As I said my MIL had no symptoms at all through 3 pregnancys! Weirdly, we're also having roast lamb tonight (DH's favourite!)

gingy so sorry your having a worrying time. Drinking lots before can definately effect the results, the clear blue digital instructions say to use first think in the morning to get an accurate number of weeks. Fx that's all it is.

Welcome catch! I google everything, it's definately not a good thing! I drive myself crazy.

Halfbaked · 20/05/2013 16:58

Hi sorry to say I'm leaving this thread. Heavy bleeding this morning and EPU confirmed miscarriage.Sad but weirdly I just knew something wasn't right.

Lots of luck and fabulous bouncing babies for all you lovely ladies.
Hopefully I'll be on another antenatal thread soon.

MrsGSR · 20/05/2013 17:00

So, so sorry Halfbaked thoughts are with you. Fx it's not too long and that next time you'll have a really boring 9 months with no worries at all! x
