Morning :)

More newbies?! I can't keep up! Congratulations Flowers

Poor loulou :( I know how you feel.

Frizz, I always wash all fruit and veg (along with all new clothes and my hands 50 times a day!) and I'm often taken the piss out of for it. Now I feel vindicated :o

Ugh, I hate Mondays. I have to go and clean 2 houses, neither of which are mine, do the meal plan/food shopping for the week, and try to do something with the pit of doom which is my house.

MrsHowardRoark · 20/05/2013 07:23

Good morning everyone and congratulations to the recent joiners.

Pit of doom quite accurately sums up the state of my house too Toby. I'm just too bloody knackered to do anything about it.

My sympathies go out to those having a bad time. Just hang on to the thought that in a few weeks you will probably feel much better Smile

Sultanajo · 20/05/2013 07:59

Morning everyone!

OK, marathon catch up - here goes:

Firstly good luck to everyone having scans/tests today - fingers firmly crossed for you all!

Welcome to all the newbies!!!

MrsAVB sorry to give you the cottage pie craving! You can have mine, I have now gone off it!! Confused

Yoni Lol! I like your selflessness!

Sarah my Mum also had absolutely no morning sickness with me and in fact barely showed until right at the end. That luckiness has obviously skipped a generation in my case. Hope you are one of the lucky ones!

Pod Wow! Time seems to be marching on with the fact we have a Feb thread now, although it still feels as though it's standing still in the Sultana household!!!

Penny that is such a tough one. As others have said, once they know why you cancelled they will totally understand but it's difficult until you can tell them. Can you have a word with your DH and see if he will let you swear them to secrecy? I have got to the point where I am telling on a "need to know" basis. As in, if there is something I really can't get out of, but I really can't do the things that are expected of me due to feeling so bad, then I am going to end up telling but swearing to secrecy. Not ideal but....

Teri how incredibly annoying is that! Particularly when your family are going to react in that way! As you say, you want it to stay perfect and positive right now! I hope it goes better than you think - we are all here if you need to rant!

Humpty loving your nap after making dinner! I am impressed you made it in the first place! My DH made a chicken chow mein last night which smelt vile (only because of preggo hormones) but the kitchen still smells of it this morning and I ended up running in and out of there this morning holding my breath!

Halfbaked huge congrats on the SW weight loss! I did weight watchers last year before the wedding. At the moment I am just eating what I can stomach and even then forcing it down... It feels like a constant battle at the moment, but it will all be worth it!!!

Choco sorry you have felt so rough all weekend! I completely understand why you aren't going to the concert. You would feel miserable the whole time and although it may feel as though you are missing out right now, it's so not worth trying to force yourself out.

Toby that sounds like a fun packed day!!! Good luck - hope you get through it OK!

gingysmummy · 20/05/2013 08:07

gemma277 · 20/05/2013 08:10

Morning all

Congrats and welcome to all the newbies.

Hope everyone whose been feeling poorly feels better!

And good luck to everyone having scans today. Fx for you.

Yesterday and last night was feeling so horrible, caught this horrible bug off DD so I took paracetamol because I just couldn't get to sleep. I know paracetamol is ok while pregnant but on the NHS website today it says to avoid medicine in 1st Trimester. Grrrr what do you ladies think about a one off dose of paracetamol in the 1st trimester. I'm 5+5W.

Thanks...

gemma277 · 20/05/2013 08:11

Ou good luck gingy!!!! Fx for you.

MrsAVB · 20/05/2013 08:41

Morning all...
choco sorry you are feeling so poorly. That's shit about the muse gig, I would be blue too, but I think I'd end up making the same decision as you. I've already had to make up loads of excuses re. being "busy". I just hope the 2nd and 3rd trimesters are better, other wise I think that's the end of my social life for what, 5? 10? years? .
sultana you can keep your (lovely) cottage pie, am totally off the idea now. Have told DH he is going to have to eat the bag loads of random food items I'm buying and then going off...
extra and gingy, best of luck for your scans today, really hope they go well.
Xxx

MrsAVB · 20/05/2013 08:42

gemma I think it will be ok. Maybe ring NHS direct though if you feel like you need to take anymore. Xxx

TobyLerone · 20/05/2013 08:42

Good luck, gingy!

gemma, I have a headache which won't shift. I took paracetamol yesterday and this morning. I figured that chopping my head off would be more detrimental to the baby than painkillers.

I've done the meal plan (which is nigh on impossible when you don't fancy eating anything. It's mostly beige!), emptied the cat litter and put all the bins out and made the shopping list. Now to run the hoover round before I go to do the other things on the list! And it's DD's parents' evening tonight. Joy!

Frogcatcher · 20/05/2013 08:47

Toby step away from the cat litter! It's def on the list of DP jobs due to risk of toxoplasmosis. Risk may be small but any excuse to get out of that task? Wink

TobyLerone · 20/05/2013 08:47

Meh, nobody else is going to do it!

Frogcatcher · 20/05/2013 09:24

Having said that I had to clear up dead bird guts the other day as my DP is too squeamish - goodness knows what the health risks are with that!

Penny31 · 20/05/2013 09:26

Morning all! Feel great today and trying not to think that means bad things....just enjoying it while it lasts in case MS comes back with a vengeance.

I am 8+1 today and my MW app isn't until the 7th June and I don't have a date for a scan yet. How can I wait that loooooong!?

Good luck to everyone with scans today!

TobyLerone · 20/05/2013 09:52

I had to clear up dead bird blood yesterday, but couldn't find the bird.

Found it this morning when I hoovered :(

I hate that cat.

Glad you're feeling good, Penny.

Frogcatcher · 20/05/2013 10:19

I take it you're not suffering too much from ms either then or we wouldn't be able to handle it?! I'm only just 6 wks tho.
And we have 3 cats so don't know which one to blame!
Sympathy to those who are suffering. I only just got the sore boobs at the weekend.

lovelilies · 20/05/2013 10:28

DD has taken over litter tray duties in out house but if I need to remove a turd I use a poo bag and pick it up like a dog poo Grin
Re paracetamol... I've been on co-codamol 30/500s for a bad back for years, and doc says it's fine Shock but I have reduce them as much as I can, so anyway, paracetamol is fine, worry not!

MrsGSR · 20/05/2013 10:39

Good morning all :)

Hoping those with morning sickness feel better soon! Hugs to you all

Fx all scans go well today, mine is tomorrow morning and I'm pretty sure time has stopped. I just want to know everything is okay!
We're picking up a new (second hand) car on Wednesday, I'm not going to miss taxis, although I will try to keep walking more. And our new sofas coming at the end of the week. Hurry up time!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 20/05/2013 11:01

Morning all!

MS not so bad today - although I forced down a banana first thing (gag), so maybe that helped?

Fx for those having scans today, and hope everyone is feeling as okay as possible.

I'm off to tell my Dad now - very excited, as he's a first time grandad!

gemma277 · 20/05/2013 11:12

Thanks everyone re paracetamol! I fe better now. Don't know why we feel so guilty about every little thing, while DH knocks back the strongest painkillers. No fair Shock

Humpty, how exciting!!!! Let us know how it goes. I see my mum all the time and always want to tell her but its too earlySad but once again feel guilty as she keeps buying me stuff I can't consume.

Ah the guilt. Lol

Gingy, how did the scan go, do update us, fx for you Grin

chocoloulou33 · 20/05/2013 11:15

Would anyone like to go & deliver my 100 avon books please?... No? Least I'm not at my real work 2day I suppose. Feeling bleurgh this morning. The only thing I want to eat is marmite on toast!

MrsAVB · 20/05/2013 11:41

I am feeling very vommy at work today. Fortunately I have my own office, part from when my PA works two days a week, but I'm sure the lovely retching noises are attracting some attention down the corridor.
humpty and penny, glad you're feeling better today! humpty am Envy at you telling your dad. My parents will be first time grandparents too... Very exciting! Let us know how it goes.
choco good luck with the Avon books!
X

extracrunchy · 20/05/2013 11:49

blondebaby111 · 20/05/2013 11:50

Morning all :) I'm just checking in its been awile. Good luch everyone who's having scans, are u paying privattely? I'm only six weeks and not even heard from the midwife yet so now idea on anything.
Hope all of that has been feeling poorly is starting to feel better. I had a pretty crappy weekend, so tired, the only time I feel well is when I eat but an hour after I?e eaten I can feel the nausea coming on..its like a really bad hangover lol! I'm really really bloating out too, I can't see me being able to keep this quiet for too long. A lot of people around me know that we've had fertilty problems so they always ask how its going and I feel so bad lying..I'm sure there gonna guess before long!!! Xxx

blondebaby111 · 20/05/2013 11:52
