Morning all,

I finally had a decent nights sleep, only woken up once by DD, and managed to go straight back to sleep, no major back ache today and even the nausea seems to have let up - so instead of being happy I'm panicking - argh

Have my widwife appointment on Monday, but know she'll be next to useless, and all she'll do is my paperwork and then book me in for a scan - I'm desperately trying to change surgeries to escape this useless woman.

Just to add to my whinge, the house we were buying (to be completed beginning of next month) the seller has pulled out! so while we're not desperate to move, have agree another year on our rental contract, it means unless a small miracle happens, we're not going to be able to buy in the area we're in, and we're going to have to move away to a large town :-( SO upset, have been in tears over this, so it's very likely we'll either be moving when I'm heavily PG or with a new born, not what I want

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 15/05/2013 10:10

Big ((hugs)) to everyone who has any worries ATM. Fingers crossed for all Thanks

MrsGSR · 15/05/2013 10:13

Sorry to all those who are spotting, I'm sure it's nothing bad, but it is stressful. My SIL just had a bad bleed at 17 weeks, but the baby is completly fine.

I'm finding out the sex. I don't have a preference, or maybe it's more that I want both! A boy would be nice first as I always wanted a big brother, but I have such a good name for a girl, and I would love a little girl so I don't mind either way!

I've been using ICs every day. I ordered 40 last week thinking it would be ages before we got pregnant (and I used up the 20 I had before very quickly) and then found out I was pregnant about 2 days later!

I went to A&E yesterday after having some stomach pains (I rang the hospital as I didn't know what to do and they told me to go in) and had some blood tests. Have to go back to the epcu tomorrow for another blood test to check hormones are increasing as they should be. Strangely whilst sat in A&E I was more calm and sure that everything is ok than I had been up til then!

Foodylicious · 15/05/2013 10:15

goblin weel done on not poas, but just a word of warning the ceomception indicators are not very accurate, 1st one i used said 1-2, next 2-3, next 3+, then when i was having a panic about lack of symptoms and bit of spotting I got 2-3 again, scared the crap out of me and contributed to me getting an eary scan at EPU.
Everything was fine!!!! even on the cb site it says if you test after 6 weeks you may get 'surprising' results., So yay for you if it changes, but try not to panic if it doesn't.
I am now officialy banned from poas ever!
sarah thenks for reasurence re spotting it really does help hearing it from someone who actually went through similar not just reading or being told about 'some women...' Smile

sarahleanne · 15/05/2013 10:29

no problems foody, I've been there and I know how worrying it can be.If someone had offered to fix me up to a scan machine permanently for the first 3 months of those pregnancies I would have done it lol.

mrsgsr-maybe I will find out the sex too then :) I have one of each already so I suppose it doesn't really matter...i'll let the husband get his own way lol.

off to work now girlies :( have a good day everyone.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 15/05/2013 10:37

I think we'll probably find out the sex. I was very against it with DS but DH was quite keen but said it was up to me. I decided literally at the 20 week scan as I knew he was keen. We fidnt tell anyone else though.

I think we will tbis time as DH said it really helped him bond with DS. I was worried it would take the excitement out of the birth but it really didnt as it was just so exciting meeting DS!

Ps - I'm north west but originally Scottish

LittlePeaPod · 15/05/2013 10:44

Hi Ladies.

My thoughts are with everyone worrying and stressed out about cramps and spotting. For those with few symptoms. It took me till just before 6 weeks to start getting any and even now they come and go. Like felt sick yesterday but not so bad today.

[Frizz] my MW appointment went really well I am lucky as she's a lovely lady and made me feel so much better. I had to fill some forms in, she took my hight, weight, about 5 little bottles of blood for different staff. Not sure if I got more as I was already anemic and my aunt is a sickle cell anemia carrier. I agreed to get full screening on my bloods which incluided things like rubella, HIV, Syphillis. Not that I have any illness other than anemia. But wanted everything. She also offered me either an early dating scan or a down syndrome test and then a 20 week scan after. I opted for down syndrome test at between 11 and 14+w. I told her about my private scans and she was lovely. She said tottally understanding follow mc in March. She booked my booking in appointment for 29th May. Feeling so much better for seeing her. Didn't do pee test, that's next time. Good luck for this afternoon.

Congrats, Humpty, and hugs to all the ladies with spotting.

Sorry to hear about the house, MTB. Buying is such a stressful business, isn?t it? I?ve just moved, but it did at one point feel like everything that could go wrong did go wrong! Fingers crossed it all works out for you.

I will probably find out the sex ? I can?t think of a reason not to! It?s not like knowing the gender will make the baby?s birth any less exciting for me! Grin

If I get back home soon enough I?ll register with the GP today, so I can get things started. Signed up with the NHS text alert service when I first found out, and I got a text today telling me that now I?m five weeks I should get the ball rolling with the GP Smile

Frizz1986 · 15/05/2013 11:35

Thanks pea Nice to have an idea what to expect. I hope my mw is nice. Will update later.
Hope everyone has a fab day today. Must crack on with work as have to disappear for my secret appointment!
I'm such a sucky liar tho so am sure people will guess soon!

chocoholicalcoholic · 15/05/2013 11:49

Morning! Thoughts are with those with spotting. It is completely normal to worry, especially if you've had a mc before. Keep calm, stay positive and be kind to yourselves. It's a common thing to happen, it has happened to two of my friends and pregnancies were fine. Big hugs.

Congratulations Humpty! Amazing feeling isn't it!

Anybody else absolutely freezing? I'm sitting here in a hoody and gilet and am.still shivering!

Knocked back half a tub of Pringles to myself so far this morning. Healthy eating is going well!

SunnySentiments · 15/05/2013 12:02

Hello all. Currently writing this from the EPU waiting room. Brown spotting turned to blood so was told to come in and be assessed. Completely crapping myself about what they'll say.

Hopefully I'll report back with good news soon

Foodylicious · 15/05/2013 12:07

pea glad your mw app went well x

Halfbaked · 15/05/2013 12:08

Hi all new BFP's
Waves to chocoholicalcholoic fellow Norfolk dweller
congrats to Humpty It willbe so much easier being able to drive. My DH has not passed his test and I'm ramping up the pressure to get him to learn now #2 is on its way!

Got GP appt today, assume he will refer me to midwife. That's what happened last time but I was in London with no1 and everybody seems to have different experiences.

We will be telling MIL and DSS (25) who is currently sponging off staying with us he's been here 9 weeks, so I'm hoping it will give him motivation to move out!! I'm not sure my nausea can cope with the lynx cloud every morning for much longer!

Halfbaked · 15/05/2013 12:09

Sorry to hear that sunny hope it all works out ok.

TobyLerone · 15/05/2013 12:11

Fx for you, sunny.

chocoholicalcoholic · 15/05/2013 12:30

Fx sunny x

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 15/05/2013 12:34

Thanks all - I'm so relieved, as I didn't want to a) have to retake when bumpified (worried about emergency stop with bump) or b) not be able to drive in 7.5 months' time.
For whoever said they're afraid of driving in London (MrsAVB?) I hear you - it was terrifying, but I now feel more confident than I think I would have done if I'd learned in the country. I can recommend my instructor - he was incredibly patient!
Now have to find which car we shall buy to fit a buggy in the boot...

To those who are cramping/bleeding, massive fx and hugs and Flowers and I hope everything is okay.

To those who are vomming, I think I am about to join you. Nearly vommed on the tube this morning. You have my heartfelt sympathies.

finding out sex wise, I am in the surprise camp - gotta have some fun at the end of all that pushing Grin

names wise, I am also in the camp of having to reign in Mr Humpty's excesses. He has terrible taste in names. Truly truly appalling.

Frizz1986 · 15/05/2013 12:41

Fx for good news sunny

gemma277 · 15/05/2013 12:41

Hope everything is ok Sunny! And everyone else with cramping and spotting. Ive got cramping too but no spotting, think its just part of the deal( i hope) stay positive ladies.
Re finding out the sex, i would love to wait but just physically couldn't. We found out with DD and had time to organise everything more, or 'pinkafy' everything. Knowing that the ultrasound lady knows i would just have to and DH would prob sneak in and find out so would have no chance really Grin

chocoholicalcoholic · 15/05/2013 13:01

We didn't find out the sex with DC1 or DC2 and don't plan to with this one. I never really gave the sex much thought to be honest! I think I might be alone in this though!

LittlePeaPod · 15/05/2013 13:14

Chocco33 thank you it was a relief. Plus asked about myy vitamins particularly the Omega oil, as some of you are aware I am a little obssesed. But she reassured me everything was good for baby. Phew. How are you feeling\doing today? All good? [Smile]

With regards finding out. DF and I are finding out. I would like to start with a boy but DF would like to start with a girl. One of us is bound to be wrong. But a healthy baby full stop is a gift enough. [Smile]
