Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
pinkapples · 29/05/2013 07:57

Wow maisie congratulations! Beautiful name too Grin

Well despite the terror apparently I need another day like yesterday as I slept from 11.45 - 5.30 with no toilet waking so not a good day but pleased I managed to sleep through a bit

Poochy is ok this morning still groggy I'm sitting with her while hubby takes the other one out and she's not that fussed really leaked fluid on her bed so washing that but otherwise ok

Haven't had time to think about baby really but hubby and I both made an effort to say hello this morning before we got out of bed just to remind ourselves in the midst of it that we have a baby coming hopefully this week or next Confused head in sand

Same here with the tmi I'm going like 3/4 times a day soft but not diarrhoea which is way more than normal

SunnyL · 29/05/2013 07:58

Ooh congrats Masie and welcome Arlo. Glad to hear baby is out and well by whatever means.

And Pink that is awful about your dog. Try contacting the dog warden too. They often know who the dodgy dog owners are and can help. Shameful behaviour - not what i'd expect from a great dane owner. Clearly bought an expensive fashion statement but havent invested the time and effort in their training (or morals).

Baby has been moving a lot all night. It may be wishful thinking but it feels like it might be turning again. Would be great if it was because i've been putting so much effort into getting bubs turned. I really miss sitting on the sofa!

MrsBri · 29/05/2013 08:03

Pink, I'm glad doggy seems ok today. Poor thing :-( Good idea from Sunny re the dog warden too.

And your TMI is like mine!! Good to know :-)

Sunny, fingers crossed baby has turned again. When's your next appt?

Steffanoid · 29/05/2013 08:03

congrats maisie!

im really getting impatient now with all these births, want to meet our lo!

AmIGoingMad · 29/05/2013 08:18

Congratulations Maisie! Lovely name too!Smile

Glad that you managed to sleep pink and that your dog seems to be ok this morning. I still can't believe it. That numpty shouldn't have a dog. His reaction was awful at the best of times but with you so heavily pregnant I really can't believe what he did.

And btw I have similar tmi to you two!

Red does cake freeze well generally or just certain types? I'm having massive sweet urges at the moment and expect it to continue- especially carrot and walnut cake. Not a big baker usually and have never frozen anything as its not around long enough!!!Grin

Exciting day for oli today! Looking forward to news.

Hope the movement was baby turning for you sunny- fingers crossed.

I'm really impatient for my scan tomrw now. More because I want to check they're still saying that this little one's a girl!Smile

DontmindifIdo · 29/05/2013 08:29

Masie - gorgeous name! Congratulations! (BTW - if you are struggling with breast feeding a forceps born baby, might be worth booking a couple of sessions with a cranial osteopath - it really helped DS)

learnermummy · 29/05/2013 08:38

Definitely recommend a cranial osteopath session.

forgetmenots · 29/05/2013 09:26

Lovely news Maisie and a gorgeous name. Sorry to hear it didn't go 'to plan' but so jealous of you with your lovely new bundle :)
Good luck today Olimoss!

Sunbeam18 · 29/05/2013 09:35

Congratulations, Maisie! Sounds like a marathon but you got the prize at the end! Lovely name too.
Pink, so sorry about your poor dog - hopefully the monster owner will be caught. People like that should be jailed.
I hit 37 weeks yesterday and feeling slightly nervous as am staying with my parents for a couple of days, an hour away from my hospital and without DP. He is painting our downstairs floorboards (talk about last minute...). So last night he tells me that he has run out of paint before the lounge is finished and has had to order more online as the range has been discontinued in the shops and it won't arrive until Friday. So I have to go home to a house in major disarray. Booo....
I was convinced my waters were going to break last night and kept getting up to check. Have a strong feeling this wee boy is coming next week though.
Well done on all the cooking, and cooking plans!

pinkbear82 · 29/05/2013 09:51

congratulations Maisie! hope the bf goes well and he settles into it for
you.

Even my best friend mentioned batch cooking last night, you bunch are going to guilt me into it one way or another Wink

today however I am going to see my small best friend (she's 5, my friends daughter) and we are going to bake cakes! it's her birthday and party a few days after my due date and she's worried I won't be able to go, so today is a just in case I
can't go day!

39 weeks today. yikes. I've gone from feeling confident I have everything I need to having complete blanks on what I have got/done.

curiousgeorgie · 29/05/2013 09:53

Congratulations Maisie :) I love the name!

By the time my c section date comes around I'm going to be the only one left I think!

Pink, that is awful about your dog :( I hope everything is going to be okay. A similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago (I started a thread about it.) and it really shook me up, so make sure you take it easy.

I'm moving house this weekend so I'll probably go into labour then with my luck! I can't wait to finally be able to sort out the baby's stuff and get her room ready. I feel so disorganised.

ginauk84 · 29/05/2013 09:59

Maisie congrats, am so jealous of all these babies arriving, not due until 27th June - seems ages away!!!

Pink that's dreadful, glad pooch is feeling better this morning.

Re: cooking I don't know how you do it, am not doing any batch cooking and feel very guilty lol. Saying that we usually cook veggies, potatoes and then a bit of fish or chicken or something from freezer for our dinner so it's an easy meal.

Pigged out on Papa Johns last night and felt very guilty afterwards!!

Re TMI I've been having the same, usually a once a week girl but it's been every day lately - don't think it's a sign though as only 36 weeks.

Our isofix base is arriving today - cant wait to test it out!!

learnermummy · 29/05/2013 10:23

I'm mainly batch cooking for the kids to be honest, so they don't end up living on fish fingers! Just about to finish off the shepherds pies!

Hawkmoth · 29/05/2013 10:25

Congratulations Maisie x

Sorry to hear about your dog pinkapples, there's no excuse for behaviour like that is there? Awful people.

I'm attempting ikea today. I NEED boxes and drawers and files to put away all the crap we have. I'm more than compelled to tidy and organise at the moment, which is incredibly unusual for me.

Baby is dropping nicely, have more lung capacity. Due to all the BH I have given DH strict instructions on what to do if it kicks off this week. I reckon end of next week though.

Now, how to get DH a birthday present for Friday when I can't drive....

learnermummy · 29/05/2013 11:01

Good luck at ikea Hawkmoth! How about a gift experience voucher for something for your DH? Although that would mean you being left to manage on your own for a day.

MrsBri · 29/05/2013 11:07

Ooh, Sunbeam, that's odd as I think I'm going next week too. I'll probably still be here in July now!!

arlandria666 · 29/05/2013 11:16

Been trying to catch up but got lost to where i originally was! Lol!
Congratulations Masie that is a beautiful name
baby finally took to the right boob yesterday morning :-)
The midwife is coming today to weigh him, heel prick test and to remove my staples...after yesterdays failed visit when a midwife i have never met turned up told me she was in a rush there had been a home birth she didn't know i had staples and didn't even see the baby!!
I know they lose weight but i am worried i will cry!!
MrsBri i am not sure if you told me how to join the Facebook page i can't find the post :-(
Weird thinking that this time last week i was nervous about being induced and feel so lucky that we've had him almost a week! D.H has been amazing better than i could ever imagine!!
Will try and catch up properly later

MrsBri · 29/05/2013 11:18

Hawkmoth, if you buy from Amazon you can pay a bit more for next day delivery!

MrsBri · 29/05/2013 11:19

Arlandria, PM me your name / Facebook email address and I'll sort it for you. :-)

I hope today's midwife is more useful.

rrreow · 29/05/2013 11:25

Good luck today Oli

Maisie congratulations and I love the name!

My back ache has disappeared again so I really think it was slouching on the couch related. So very happy about that! Itching has continued though, so will have bloods done tomorrow at my appointment. Had a slightly better night sleep (around 7 hours instead of 3, definite improvement).

My BH are starting to feel really low down now and DSs key worker said it looks like my bump has dropped a lot since she last saw me about 2 weeks ago. DH is working all day on Saturday so he's told me the baby isn't allowed to come until after that! He has the option not to go though so I guess that's good.

Sarah2506 · 29/05/2013 11:33

If anyone is sitting around bored then I really recommend The Antenatal Group. It's only three quid on a kindle. It's a really funny and depressingly accurate account of late stage pregnancy and birth. It doesn't shy away from the realities and doesn't sugar coat but you don't read it thinking I really wish I hadn't. It only took me a few middle of the night can't sleeps to knock through it!

arlandria666 · 29/05/2013 11:51

MrsBri i have just attempted to send a message hope it works lol

AmIGoingMad · 29/05/2013 12:14

Glad to hear that bf ing is going better arlandria. Good luck with the midwife today!

And good luck in ikea hawkmoth- you're a braver woman than I!Grin

DS has just gone to his grandparents for a couple of hours so trying to get the being productive/ resting balance right! Wish me luck!

bunglecat77 · 29/05/2013 12:56

pinkapples - I'm really shocked about your dog - that's awful. I hope yours is starting to feel better and makes a speedy recovery.

Hopefully the warden can find the owner of the Dane and do something - there's a good chance they'll know the person if they're local. Or maybe other people who regularly walk their dogs there will be able to help find the idiot.

Massive congratulations to everyone who's had their babies so far. My EDD isn't till 22 June, so I expect I'll be lurking round here feeling like a whale for quite a few weeks yet...

forgetmenots · 29/05/2013 13:01

Still a free acrobat here at 38w, but a couple of painful BH got me all excited... Hoping they'll just engage once it's time and that's that.

Really sorry to hear about your dog pinkapples, I'm scared of dogs, especially big ones, so I'm probably the most hysterical person about this kind of thing but that must have been so scary.
