MrsBri · 27/05/2013 14:57

That's excellent news, pink :-)

Irregular contractions too? Next!!

forgetmenots · 27/05/2013 14:58

Haha MrsBri I did describe it as bungee diving earlier... Grin

Moving for baby seems to be easy as pie - not so much for m at the moment :)

learnermummy · 27/05/2013 14:58

Hope all is well pinkapples, always better to check.

Gina, thus is third baby and never had a single BH. First one wasn't late either.

Steffanoid · 27/05/2013 14:59

glad everything is ok pink, my placenta is anterior high as well so I really struggle to feel sometimes,
my back pain died down a little, still feels like it's there though, I really try to avoid taking paracetamol and im not allowed to use my tiger balm so may have to consider getting the tens out, dp is trying reverse psychology on his pep talks thinking it will work, I dont think it is working though, he's really really excited and keeps telling me days till dd and listening to baby's heartbeat with his head on my belly Grin

MrsBri · 27/05/2013 15:01

Tell me about it. I'm getting the full on Alien on a daily basis, from arse and foot waving, but no sign of permanent downward movement.

DH thinks the baby will launch himself out of me by kicking off the top of my uterus and pinging out! Look forward to that. Not!

ginauk84 · 27/05/2013 15:10

Rreow I know it sounds disgusting but do a google image search for mucus plug, I thought I might be loosing mine the one day but it was nothing like the images.

Pink good news, always good to be reassured.

Lol hubby thinks our little one will ping out of the top of my belly in a break for freedom!

2 weeks left at work with a day off each week so 7 days left at work now, then a whole year off - scary! Think it will all become very real when I break up.

Just ordered a fathers day from bump card in the hope I tempt fate and she comes early lol! Grin

pinkapples · 27/05/2013 18:37

Anyone else feeling moody??? I feel so cross and angry but for not reason (except shitty broken dropped fridge) poor DH

MrsBri · 27/05/2013 18:40

You do know that's another sign of imminent labour, don't you pink?!

Steffanoid · 27/05/2013 18:43

yep I've been in a grump all day, although I did blame the weather but have been in too much of a grump to decide whats for dinner, so we ended up with KFC cause the shops are shut Blush

DontmindifIdo · 27/05/2013 18:44

FATHERS DAY!!!!! Feck, I forgot! Right, I've got a day tomorrow with no plans, any ideas for gifts? Could do with getting that now, there's no hope in post baby fog I'll do anything like shopping (when I had DS, a dear friend turned 30 a couple of weeks later, I bought her the most random collection of gifts then posted it to her without the card or any clue who was sending her all this stuff, I don't make the best decisions before my 6 week check)

MrsBri · 27/05/2013 18:51

If you can remember post-baby cufflinks with baby's feet / hands imprinted are really cute. Quite popular too, I think.

I don't know what to do about it as I have no idea if baby will be here :-/

Littlemissexpecting · 27/05/2013 18:59

Glad all ok pink.
I've bought a couple of cards for DH for Father's Day, one from bump and one from baby just in case he makes a slightly early arrival. Also got a cute little baby grow with something on it can't remember exactly I love my daddy or something like that.
Still got my family staying, but they go home tomorrow (hurrah!!)
3 weeks to go for me, quite scary that baby is now fully grown.
I'm happy for lo to arrive any time but DH wants him to stay put a bit longer. I'm very uncomfortable now with bump running out of room so that might influence my decision.
Anyone else having issues with sleeping? Not just getting up for a wee but I just can't sleep anymore!

pinkapples · 27/05/2013 19:22

Sleeping is also a problem for me weeing on the hour every hour near enough and then can't go back to bed! Then up at like 6 feeling like crap!

pinkapples · 27/05/2013 19:23

Oh no Father's Day!

MrsBri · 27/05/2013 19:49

I can get to sleep, but I wake at the crack of dawn and can't get back off again. It's not even because I'm going to the loo, I just can't sleep, even though I lie there feeling utterly wiped out. :-/

AlohaMama · 27/05/2013 19:51

Hmm father's day. So, do I forgive dh for missing out both opportunities for mother's day this year (UK and US ones are on different dates), and get him something for father's day...??? Or should I keep reminding him that it isn't too late to make amends...

Hope grumpyness isn't a sign of impending labour MrsBri. I'm tired, grumpy, cant' be bothered to cook, but not ready for this baby yet. On the plus side dh is doing a sterling job getting through the DIY projects and ds seems reasonably entertained just watching him.

redwellybluewelly · 27/05/2013 19:54

Well today has been one of those bat shit crazy type days. DH and I have spent less than an hour in each others company and I've done over an hours driving to a party and back - pleased I went but DD had a complete and utter breakdown (sensory issue) over the bouncy castle and also two docile jersey cows that we saw on the way up the lane. So demanded to be held for the two hours or so we were there, with a baby lower in my pelvis I can barely walk right now!

DH having to do all the prep work solo for carpenters starting tomorrow (move things, sweep floors, make notes on measurements etc) because DD will not go to sleep and I'm trying to sort her out, and my chocolate biscuits are downstairs!

Re fathers day I'll probably get DH a new mug, some fab coffee and a pack of posh biscuits. I doubt very much indeed I'll have time for anything else!

redwellybluewelly · 27/05/2013 19:56

As for sleep. Think ky last good solid night was a fortnight ago, anxiety about ELCS kicking in now. Plus since baby has taken up its new position it hurts when it wriggles.

ginauk84 · 27/05/2013 20:25

Grumpiness - yesterday and today have felt really grumpy and irritable glad I am not the only one!

Fathers day - I have bought daddy a t-shirt with pint on it & babygrow with half pint on it - found them on eBay. Then found a daddy's day from bump survival kit on eBay as a little something silly Smile

learnermummy · 27/05/2013 20:51

Totally grumpy here Hmm. Am sure it's all DHs fault but can't remember why...

Busy wrapping pressies and building a see saw here as DS2 turns 4 tomorrow Grin.

If anyone's thinking cuff links for Father's Day can I recommend the hand/footprint ones over the fingerprint ones as babies don't have much of a fingerprint.

Steffanoid · 27/05/2013 20:58

crap crap crap, just looked at my medication sheet and I cant feed the baby on it

DontmindifIdo · 27/05/2013 21:42

Steffanoid - oh no! Can you get an urgent meeting with your doctor re your meds and see if there is anything you can be moved onto that's fine with breast feeding?

Thank you for fathers day ideas. I'll have to do it, DS anyway (hopefully nursery will get him to make a card), and there's going to be 2 DCs to buy from (mums of more than one already, do you get two gifts?)

Slightly worrying myself, I felt the need to garden earlier today, then DH had to pop to his parents to drop something off when I was settling down DS. I suddenly had really strong BH and an overwhelming urge to tidy and iron... I'm 38 weeks today, I had DS at 38+3 so really close.

AmIGoingMad · 27/05/2013 21:58

Great to hear that everything's good with baby pink!Smile

Gina- no bh here last time and none so far this time!

Sorry to hear that stef- maybe you could speak to your gp about changing meds/dose?

Been to buy some knickers today- went for marks shorts with lace trim rather than little thingy with bow on. Hopefully they'll be more comfortable!

Also while I was out for the day with DH and DS lovely mil phoned to ask if she could pop into house to get our ironing- she'd done it all by the time we got home!Smile

Lucky really as my calves and ankles have turned into elephant legs. I thought I was doing so well this time around but it's started now!

Little one's having a very busy day today- was quiet yesterday so I'm happy about that!

Thanks all for the replies about baby's outfits and your own for coming home Smile

AmIGoingMad · 27/05/2013 21:59

X post! Oo sounds like we've got a couple of contenders for the next baby of the thread! And it's not even June yet ladies!Grin

learnermummy · 27/05/2013 22:04

What a lovely MIL AmI!

Dontmind I usually just get one gift (or group of gifts) from all of us - not one from each son if you see what I mean. Have cards already just need to order pressie.
