Question for you all, am I turning into a pregzilla?! I cycled over to see a friend today - she's just got a new bike but was too nervous to go out by herself for the first time. I arrived and asked if I could use her bathroom and she said no, the house was a tip. I was a bit Hmm and walked up the road to a coffeeshop to use theirs. I did get the impression she wasn't going to let me in because she came to the door and kind of held it half open while she talked to me but I was still a bit put out. Maybe I'm being a bit hormonal though...

Natalieand · 05/05/2013 21:22

sparkeleigh regardless if u were pregnant or not how selfish of your friend not to let u use the loo. Deffo not pregzilla

GTbaby · 05/05/2013 21:25

Spark does she know your preg? Actually. Regardless of if preg or not someone needs your loo, You let them use it. She could have apologised for mess n still let you in? That's annoyed me actually.

Wickedgirl · 05/05/2013 21:31

Pseudo.......Watford is my closest hospital but I like Barnet and had my other 3 there. The midwives were lovely.

Spark......your friend sounds a bit odd. If my house was a mess and someone needed the loo I would say to them excuse the mess but would let them go.

Haylebop12 · 05/05/2013 21:36

I let the sky man use my loo the other morning. Didn't realise dh's poo before he went to work had made a mess and he hadn't cleaned it up. I was Blush but gathered I'd never see him again! Grin

Shirehobbit · 05/05/2013 22:12

I've sent you a pm GT - thanks loads for organising.

MotherOfNations · 05/05/2013 22:26

I've Pm'd too GT.

Sparkeleigh · 05/05/2013 22:32

Thanks, I was beginning to wonder if it was me! I just can't imagine refusing a request to use the loo. She does know I'm pregnant and she's seen my house when it a tip plenty of times! Argh, I feel better for venting though Blush

Haylebop that make me laugh! Sorry Grin

Also read the thread back and will PM you GT

juniper9 · 05/05/2013 22:55

Before I send gt a pm (oh, acronyms!)... What do I need to send?!

Haylebop12 · 05/05/2013 23:01

Your name and what is in your profile pic so GT can add you as a friend and then add you to the group :-)

GTbaby · 05/05/2013 23:28

Hello. I THINK I've added everyone. If you have sent me details and I've not added you please let me know.

Also if I've added you on FB but forgotten to add you to the group.

Anyway. Bk to business. How are we all?

Iheartcrunchiebars · 06/05/2013 07:10

Hi GT sent you my name is that all you need?

OrangeBlossom2 · 06/05/2013 07:12

My niece who is staying with us was lovely all evening but didn't like being left at bedtime. We are getting the house and neighbours used to a crying baby!

FeministInTraining · 06/05/2013 07:28

Morning Smile

Spark I agree with everyone else, v odd for a friend to do that. An thinking maybe the house wasn't a mess and she was trying to hide someone?! Either way, pregnant or not, not on. Am angry for you.

GT will pm you now- thank you for doing this, I wouldn't have a clue where to start!

In weird pregnancy dream news, I was actually in Eastenders last night. Not as an actress but actually living in it. And there was a point where loads of police were going into houses but not saying what they were investigating. Just sittin eating people's food looking out for shiftiness! I wasn't even scared, just upset they ate all the eggs...

OrangeBlossom2 · 06/05/2013 07:40

Feminist I agree I also wondered if she was hiding a new man inside!

Shirehobbit · 06/05/2013 08:14

I've just introduced DH to the term pregzilla. He loves it. Maybe a little too much Hmm Wink

Natalieand · 06/05/2013 08:38

Need name opinions again.

Dh and I quite like Louie for a boy (we're having a boy for those who can't remember)
But would u spell it
Lewie
Louie
Louis?

OP posts:
PseudoBadger · 06/05/2013 08:48

My friend has a Louie

Umlauf · 06/05/2013 09:00

Hi natalie Louis is a gorgeous name! I'd spell it Louis because I have only ever known girls called Louie (3 girls age 2, 26&27!) Lewie looks like a nn somehow. Lovely name though!

I thought I might have felt something this morning but nothing since so probably not. It felt like wind but was right over on the left hand side of my tummy low down.

sparkleigh my first thought was there was a man in there! Or she had a massive floater that wouldn't go down...

I drove over to France yesterday to look for nice baby boy clothes. Some gorgeous bits in petit bateau but ?50 a babygro?!!!?!?! Merde!!! Spanish baby clothes are just twee or crap quality. Mail ordered some baby joules bits so Bertie will match DH! Feels so much more real now!

Shootingstarsandcomets · 06/05/2013 09:06

I love the name Louie Smile and also Bertie- is that what you've chosen umlauf? I was shocked at the price of baby stuff when I was in France last week- e70 for some pram shoes!!!
I can't find you on Facebook gt Sad
Gorgeous day again we are going to have a BBQ and see SIL and generally be in the garden all day. Do you think I could have a very lemonadey pimms?

Umlauf · 06/05/2013 09:17

Yeah we had Albert as a baby name long before conception, was struggling for a girl so lucky he's a boy really! Not sure of middle names yet but I've been referring to him as Bertie all weekend and its so natural now!

You can definitely have a lemonadey pimms, I'm sure! Yesterday we went to a bar and I'd been saying to eh how much I missed gin and tonic so I'd just order a tonic and pretend, and when I went up to the bar I demanded (by accident!) "gin porfavor!" Barman very annoyed when he had to take all the gin back as I only wanted tonic sorry!

(My excuse was that I mixed up the Spanish words for gin and tonic..... Embarassingly the excuse didn't work as they are the same as the english words!)

Slowjogs · 06/05/2013 09:23

Morning ladies- after a few months of lurking and reading the thread I thought I'd finally say hello! I'm 16.6, due Oct 15th with first DC at Kingston hospital. Hope you're all enjoying the Bank Holiday sun!

Haylebop12 · 06/05/2013 09:25

Natalie My cousin (12) is Louie and he's a darling. So quiet, well mannered and a pleasure go babysit so the name has very positive connotations.

Sparkeleigh · 06/05/2013 09:36

Flip, dreams! I went for a haircut on Sat and I think when the hairdresser held up my hair and asked 'this much off' we were actually seeing different lengths. It's so much shorter than I wanted. It's obviously still bothering me cause I dreamed last night I was going round trying to get hair extensions for it! If only...

To get over my terrible haircut I had a Dominos and a half glass of prosecco on Sat. It was amazing! Though not classy Grin My midwife said the odd glass of wine won't hurt so I reckon lemonadey Pims wouldn't be a problem.

I like Louis and Bertie! We're starting to look at names properly now, it's so exciting Grin I like Neala for a girl but DH has vetoed it, though Aine is a possibility. We both like Corran for a boy but pronounce it differently, which would be more than slightly weird so I'm trying to persuade him of the merits of Corin instead. He's not going for it..

Corkle · 06/05/2013 09:37

Umlauf Carrefour do a range of petit bateau - last time I was in France I picked up a cute set of 2 babygros for ?11.
