Congratulations pea, here's to a happy healthy pregnancy. Great News for you and your DF xxx

Sparkeleigh · 03/05/2013 08:31

Congrats pea best wishes for your pregnancy!

Sorry to hear you're so poorly gt I hope it improves soon.

umlauf she was from Northern Ireland. I thought it was an Irish name, but I never asked her. Facinating that the same name exists in Spain if that's the case!

Oh, just in case anyone's been having the same problem as me, I bought the pregnacare with the omega 3 fish oil tablets and was feeling guilty because I wasn't taking them (with my eyesight the baby needs all the help it can get) because they really upset my stomach. Then I remembered I had some from Tesco from a while ago and I can take them no problems, must be something different with the coating or something.

Umlauf · 03/05/2013 08:44

Ahhh so lovely to hear from you pea and such lovely news!!!! So pleased it was so quick for you.

Its not a Spanish name sparkle in Spanish it would be Maria. The Basques are a people in north of Spain/south France with their own language so its part of that, you don't hear the name in the rest of Spain.

Off for the scan now.... !!!!!!!

TheFalconsmistress · 03/05/2013 08:49

Good luck umlauf let us know pink or blue Grin

Sparkeleigh · 03/05/2013 08:50

Ooh, exciting! Best of luck!

Ah, I see, I thought you meant it was a variant of Maria!

Sparkeleigh · 03/05/2013 08:51

umlauf duh, sorry. I see what you mean now. I'm slow in the mornings!

BowlFullofJelly · 03/05/2013 09:02

Good luck Umlauf - excited to hear what you are having!

Great to hear from you pea - congratulations, a new year baby, how exciting! Do you have a due date yet?

Thanks for not giving away the Masterchef result ladies - DP is out tonight so am watching all three episodes from this week tonight. Can't wait - think I might crack open the Haribos!

Bump properly there now, have now been offered a seat on a bus and asked by a random person if I am expecting. Can't suck it in anymore.

Oh, and DP felt her moving last night! She was having a good old wriggle when I got in bed straight after eating an R Whites ice lolly - yum.

favellio · 03/05/2013 09:25

Fantastic news Pea!!!!! Massive congratulations!!!

Sorry to hear about your SPD Gt. I hope it improves for you. I've got a feeling ill end up in the same boat as I have hypermobilty syndrome, which means my joints are already lax and I can feel them worsening by the day. I'm seeing the antenatal consultant on Wednesday and my rheumatologist at UCLH next Friday, so will hopefully get some advice.

Flying home from Italy today. Had such an amazing belated honeymoon. The weather has been gorgeous. Let the post-holiday blues begin Hmm on the plus side I have just gone on eBay and ordered several brand new unisex Disney sleep suits, a my 1st Christmas outfit and a little Winnie the Pooh jacket Grin

Slippysnow · 03/05/2013 09:26

That's great pea hope it goes smoothly for you.

I've had an awful day, lost my car keys (the only ones) close to the car I think, so I don't have a clue what to do for the best. I went to report it at the police station and went really dizzy had to sit down. Then walking home I went so dizzy i couldn't see and my ears were ringing. Had to sit down on the wall and call my dad to walk with me. Missed out on a days work! Wondering whether to go to see my gp.

Haylebop12 · 03/05/2013 09:27

More good news on this thread, brilliant. Congrats pea

Good luck umlauf

I think I had some proper kicks this morning. About 8, one after another. All in the same place and about as strong as your pulse would feel. Lovely Smile just need them to be stronger as dd is waiting patiently but desperate to feel baby moving.

roofio87 · 03/05/2013 09:33

Aww sorry yr feeling so rubbish slippy maybe see the gp just to be sure, especially if ur not going to work today anyway.

I'm so jealous of those feeling movements. I'm 18w today so not worried just impatient, can't wait to feel them!!

Haylebop12 · 03/05/2013 09:36

roofio I go days where I feel nothing. I'm 16+5 and this is number 2. Today is the first proper day I'm not putting it down to wind Blush

LittlePeaPod · 03/05/2013 09:36

Thank you ladies and we are really delighted and excited but trying to stay calm. Counting down to 8 weeks. Can't remember who asked but our EDD is 7th January. I will keep popping my head round the corner to see how you all are. Maybe get a few tips as you are ahead of me. Xx

roofio87 · 03/05/2013 09:40

yeah hayley like I say I'm not worried, just jealous!! Grin I've had a few moments of 'oh was that baby?!....no, definitely wind!!' Haha

roofio87 · 03/05/2013 09:53

just a quick query, only weighed myself at home a few times this pg, but according to my notes I was 11st4 on march 29th, then 11st6 on April and today I'm 11st3. should I be concerned I'm not putting on any weight? (I know this would seem like a dream to some people but surely not right?!) my bump is getting bigger!

BowlFullofJelly · 03/05/2013 09:57

Nice quiet Christmas for you then Pea. My DS was born on Xmas Eve, came home with him Christmas morning - was a very nice present!

Can't believe the Jan bus are at 8 weeks already - this pregnancy is just flying by for me!

Was just talking to a lady in the loos about movement - remembering how later on in pregnancy when baby is kicking the crap out of you at night, just begging him to stop so I can sleep. Then as soon as he stopped, I was panicking that he wasn't moving and poking my belly to wake him up. Pregnancy is just so relaxing Hmm

roofio87 · 03/05/2013 09:58

my booking in notes say at 12w I weighed 68kg (10st9) so that would be a gain of 6 pounds in 6 weeks which is right I suppose. I definitely weighed more than that pre pregnancy so am feeling a bit dubious about how correct that weight is but maybe I lost some in first trimester and didn't realise?! sorry to go on about it!!Blush

BowlFullofJelly · 03/05/2013 09:59

What's you BMI Roofio? Although whatever it is a wouldn't panic, think it is quite normal for weight gain to be low in the first half, then start packing on a pound a week in the 2nd half.

Smitten1981 · 03/05/2013 10:00

Yay, go Pea.

Random question for any Bugaboo users. We've been offered a second hand Chameleon, it's an older model though. Do the newer covers and hood fabrics fit all models or have they been sneaky and changed the sizes of the buggy/carrycot units as the prams evolved?

I really like the new Summer fabrics with the stripes inside, but it says they fit the Bugaboo Chameleon 3.

roofio87 · 03/05/2013 10:09

I think my bmi was 24 at booking in,mw commented that it was perfectly healthy anyway. I'm sure its fine and I'll probably start to balloon and feel stupid for ever being worried Haha!!

cazboldy · 03/05/2013 10:52

what a pants thing to happen slippy hope the dizzyness doesn't recur (and you find your keys!)

GT take care of yourself xx

Lovely news Pea Smile

re the comments, I get "are they all yours?" " haven't you got a tv?" and "do you know what's causing it yet?"

once i was in a supermarket and the checkout lady said that. When I was putting the shopping in the car the little old lady who had been behind me came and said "next time someone says that to you, tell them yes you know what causes it, and that you both happen to really enjoy it!!" Grin makes me chuckle remembering it!

Umlauf · 03/05/2013 11:33

We're having a boy! He's gorgeous in my opinion, and really ugly in my dhs! The 4d scan was amazing though, seeing all the detail, facial expressions! awww!!

TheFalconsmistress · 03/05/2013 11:42

Umlauf im so happy for you Grin

GTbaby · 03/05/2013 11:42

Roofio pls don't worry about weight gain. It will go on eventually! Lol
I was very similar to you. List weight in first few weeks of pregnancy. Then booking in weight to about 24weeks I stayed the same. Then put on about 4lbs by 30 weeks then didn't bother checking until after LO was born.
Yeah so basically everyone is different but it's not unusual to loose weight. U stop drinking. You even self consciously eat well. Mk better choices. Baby making talkies up lots of calories.

Right bk to catching up on this mornings chat.

Umlauf · 03/05/2013 11:44
