GTbaby · 02/05/2013 20:10

Hello everyone. Suffering major with SPd. Woke up Monday morning in agony unable to walk Hmm
Ended up being taken to hospital in an ambulance Confused n only today feel a tiny bit better. Wearing a belt. N getting to loo with crutches Blush other then that I'm sofa bound. No beyonce concert on Sunday Angry feeling quite sry for myself.

Pls pls pls look after yourselves. Backs. Hips. Pelvis. Legs. All very delicate at the moment. Look after your body!

Shirehobbit · 02/05/2013 20:10

We've lived off just my wage at various points (DH had a run of three redunancies in two years, and then went back to college to retrain). It's whether we could do that off his wage, with the added expense of a child.

Shirehobbit · 02/05/2013 20:11

Xpost.
Sounds horrible, GT Sad

roofio87 · 02/05/2013 20:13

I'm currently re training to become a childminder. I work with children at the moment anyway so won't be a big change but will allow me to stay at home with baby and earn some money.we'd really struggle just on dp's wages and I still want to work!!

OrangeBlossom2 · 02/05/2013 20:14

Oh no GT! Sad

roofio87 · 02/05/2013 20:14

gt sorry you're having such a hard time x

TheFalconsmistress · 02/05/2013 20:15

Sounds horrid gt Sad

Soupqueen · 02/05/2013 20:24

Oh, GT. hope you're feeling better soon Flowers

Slippysnow · 02/05/2013 20:40

Poor you gt, do you feel that you neglected your body in some way?

Really enjoying my tonic and lemon. I'm tricking myself into thinking its a gin and its really working! I'm attempting to go the whole 9months without drinking, not that I think the odd drink would be dangerous just trying to challenge myself :)

Haylebop12 · 02/05/2013 20:40

I earn half what dh does as i work pt but he has a promotion looming, just needs a kick up the backside. If he took it I reckon we could afford for me to be at home BUT I love having my own money. Dh is so tight and careful I don't think I'd enjoy it. I only work 3 days anyway and only need childcare for mornings so hopefully it'll all be manageable. My three days are also flexible so hoping when I do return I can fit one day on dh's day off, another on a weekend and one set so maybe will only need childcare 1/2 mornings a week. Dd will be in full time school and I have my mum to rely on a lot (just not mornings) they don't make it easy these days do they Sad so I reckon baby number 3 could only happen if dh takes the promotion and/or we leave a decent gap again so this one will be at school.

Sorry to hear you feeling rough GT I really hope you seem some improvement soon.

Claphammama · 02/05/2013 20:50

OMG you chatty lot today!

GT so sorry to hear you are so poorly... hope DP / DH is looking after you and you have help with the baby! Brew

thanks falcon and thanks for advice natalie - I'm determined to enjoy my SAHM time to the full and make some new mummy friends here!

crunchie and everyone else who can't sleep - I'm a terrible insomniac too and, I know everyone is different, but with DS I found that I coped with sleep deprivation much better than my friends who had such a shock that they couldn't enjoy the baby! A silver lining to everything :-) For me it was pretty normal

Masterchef final in 10!!!

Flyer747 · 02/05/2013 21:25

Yeah I had the was it planned question too, you get it much more when you aren't married! People presume I guess.

GT hope you feel better soon it sounds horrid...

I'm going back part time, which is 2 flights a month and a piece of p*#s so it is silly not to, plus my perks mean we get virtually free flights, but the pay isn't great in my career even though i'm senior crew, our pay ratio is 80:20 so we won't really notice any difference...

I'm with all the insomniacs here, doing my job for 13 yrs has made me a terrible sleeper, and until I got my BFP I was reliant on sleeping pills nightly, it's been a tough time going cold turkey but glad I have!!!

Exciting day tomorrow umlauf xx

HotSoupDumpling · 02/05/2013 21:31

Gt, that sounds stressful, hope you feel better soon.

We have also been getting the 'ooh, you shoudn't be getting up lots in the middle of night, you need to get as much sleep as possible before baby arrives'. I don't get out of bed FOR FUN! I would love to sleep 8 hours without needing the toilet!

Masterchef on. Won't give anything away!

Shirehobbit · 02/05/2013 22:03

I really enjoyed the Masterchef result.

I managed to hold DH's interest in it by discussing baby names while it was on. And we may have a top three for both that we both agree on for the first time in a year! Shock

TheFalconsmistress · 02/05/2013 22:04

Never got tma done Sad just too much think im going leave the studying till the kids are at school if at all feel a failure as usual but hey ho.

Shirehobbit · 02/05/2013 22:21

Not a failure at all Falcon!
It'll still be there in a couple of years time (though the OU will have changed its title three times by then Wink )
Being pragmatic is hard sometimes, but making the right choice will relieve some of the stress/guilt (eventually).

TheFalconsmistress · 02/05/2013 22:37

Thanks shire I know my life will unfold as it should and I will enjoy my time with the kids and feel better in the end hopefully Smile

GTbaby · 03/05/2013 00:37

Thanks folks. Slippy I do feel like I haven't taken care of my self. No exercise since 1st baby. My pelvic muscles have gone to pot. I should have listened to my body n kept active. DH has been great. Taken a week off work. Hoping I'm more Mobile in a week Hmm although it is unlikely.

Iheartcrunchiebars · 03/05/2013 06:34

Morning everyone. Only up once in the night and got 6 hours sleep! Really pleased. I think my rant last night did me good. Have a brilliant day today! Xxxx

LittlePeaPod · 03/05/2013 06:41

Hi ladies... Hope you are all enjoying your pregnancies. Just popped on as I was on the Oct (littleChickPea) bus but unfortunately I had a mc in March. You were all very kind. I said I would let you know if DF and I were lucky enough to join another bus. Well. I got a BFP and I am on the January train...... FX all goes well this time..

Good luck ladies and thank you for your support in March....
