Meds should help I think I missed the phone call this morning Hmm

yesterday they think it could have been a hormone surge as my boobs went rock hard too

BowlFullofJelly · 01/05/2013 10:17

Think I was having sympathy pains last night falcon - shooting pains down from my pelvis through groin - not nearly as bad as yours tough by the sound of it. Sounds like you had a really shit day yesterday - hope you can put your feet up and enjoy the sunshine today.

Looking forward to hearing whether we have another boy or girl Natalie - hope baby performs for the camera!

Clapham I understand the guilt, but like roxvox said, if you are not well, you are not well. I always feel like I am skiving whenever I phone in sick though, even if I literally cannot get out of bed.

Also please no Masterchef spoilers ladies - we are catching up on Broadchurch at the moment (which is awesome!) so will be having a mammoth MC catch up on Thursday. Is it very sad that I am excited by that already? Blush

roxvox · 01/05/2013 10:46

I think I might be having some sympathy pains too. I just sneezed and it felt like baby swung a flail around in there!

Shootingstarsandcomets · 01/05/2013 12:01

That sounds awful falcon but what a relief that your baby is ok. Back from appt and I will qualify but only just. Phew! Now got to go into work and tell them I want to return full time not 3 days a week as I originally planned to! I don't have to tell them why just yet so hope they don't notice bump and then I'll tell them once 20 week scan is all done and dusted. Hate doing this but just have to remind myself that its a multi million pound organisation and they can afford it whereas I cannot afford to not be paid.

BowlFullofJelly · 01/05/2013 13:32

Good news shootingstars - good luck with hiding the bump!

Have foolishly just stuffed my face at lunchtime, and am not wearing maternity trousers. Am now sat at my desk with my flies undone. Classy! Good job my meeting this afternoon is conference call, not face to face Grin

JellyCurls · 01/05/2013 13:36

Strange question ladies, does anyone else have or have experience of a sore coxyx when pregnant?

Every time I slouch bad for me i know no lectures please or get up from sitting mine feels so under pressure. Never had it before and I wonder if its SPD related. But had no SPD pain since I visited a Physio and got realigned.

BowlFullofJelly · 01/05/2013 13:41

I get that Jelly, also when I have been slouching or after being propped up in bed. I assume it's just the additional weight on the bottom of your back, plus everything being relaxed and pushed into weird positions. Luckily I haven't had SPD though...

34PinkLadyApple · 01/05/2013 13:59

I get that pain in my coxsix too. Had it a few weeks now and it's mainly when I've been sitting up in bed and try to get up, or if i'm laying on my back with me knees up and try and roll over that it hurts (slightly to the right, not in the centre). Been wondering if it's Preg related or just coincidence..? First preg and not entierly sure what SPD is Blush...

20 week scan this time next week! eeeek!

pinkbuttons · 01/05/2013 14:12

jelly coccyx pain can be part of spd, its part of the reason theyve changed the name to pelvic girdle pain as people get pain in lots of different areas.
we advise people to use cushions to try and stop your coccyx from being on a hard surface, there are special pregnancy cushions you can buy to help. and ideally not to sit in the same position for more than 20 minutes. sorry so many of you are suffering, hope it doesnt get too much worse xx

Racheld33 · 01/05/2013 14:15

Hello all, been missing for a while as holidaying in the lakes.

MoN and soup fingers crossed for your results
Falcon, sorry you're having such a rubbish time

Definately also getting pain in bottom of back, especially after a long day, I assumed it was extra pressure down there (and did get it in my first pregnancy but luckily never got SPD)

Natalieand · 01/05/2013 14:27

Baby no2 is a baby boy xxxx

congrats Natalie how do you feel,I know you were picturing another girl! no shame if you feel a little disappointed. everyone keeps saying I'm having a girl and I know it'll take some mental re adjusting if its not!!

BowlFullofJelly · 01/05/2013 14:33

Congratulations Natalie!! How are you feeling - think you had a preference towards a girl didn't you?

Think we are two boys and two girls confirmed now then, unless I have missed some......

Umlauf · 01/05/2013 14:34

ahh congratulations natalie!! one of each!

Natalieand · 01/05/2013 14:43

I have to say I am a little disappointed in truth. When I left the place dh said to me I'm so pleased it was a boy I wanted a boy but didnt wanna say and I literally felt like bursting into tears I've managed to hold back so far. I no it sounds cruel and heartless as so many ppl on here have had losses or bad news and I sound selfish I just need a few days to adjust to it I think xxxx thanks ladies

TheFalconsmistress · 01/05/2013 14:49

Aww natilie thats great my ds is amazing you will love having a boy but I can understand it might take some getting used to xxx

BowlFullofJelly · 01/05/2013 14:51

Feel free to let it all out here Natalie - it's not really the done thing in real life, is it? I would have preferred a boy - and was a bit, um, shell shocked for a few days when found out it was a girl at the weekend. Disappointed isn't the right word - just had to rethink what I had imagined my life would be like.

And I know this won't help - but boys are fricking awesome!

roofio87 · 01/05/2013 14:58

Aww don't worry Natalie you can be totally honest here. like bowlfull says its just going to take some getting used to and once their here you won't be able to imagine having any other baby!!

pinkbuttons · 01/05/2013 15:11

Sorry your feeling a bit down natalie and definitely dont feel bad, I was convinced DS was a girl when I was pregnant with him, luckily finding out at 20 week scan gave me time to get used to it, and he is gorgeous and loving and you will have the best of both with one of each :) Congratulations and I hope your feeling better soon, Glad your DH is excited. x

Claphammama · 01/05/2013 15:21

congrats Natalie!

and likewise - with DS I was convinced I had a girl and we both really wanted a girl. We were really disappointed when they told us it was a boy. We got used to it after a couple of weeks and now... I have no idea why we wanted a girl... so I know how it feels to be disappointed but, trust us, boys are the most adorable, cheeky little monkeys. My DS is currently in love with me, thinks I'm the most beautiful woman in the world and wants to marry me.

So this time I really don't mind but I think I'm slightly more comfortable with the thought of a boy - mainly because I already know what it is and how to handle it (I'm probably being naive though :-)

Smitten1981 · 01/05/2013 15:24

I just typed this message and then the site crashed - urgh!
Natalie, I know exactly what you mean. I'm sure I'm having a girl, I can picture what she'll look like and do, etc.

I'll be mega peed off if it's a boy (probably only for a day though). We find out next Saturday!

roxvox · 01/05/2013 15:46

Oh natalieand sorry to hear you're feeling a bit down about it. No need to feel guilty, I am sure after a couple of days (and some boy clothes shopping) you will start to love the idea.

Racheld33 · 01/05/2013 15:48

Congrats Natalie,

Our DS is the loveliest, cuddliest bundle in the world (which is probably why I can't imagine having a girl now). I think you love your first so much, you can't imagine what your going to do if you have the opposite sex second time around. You'll love it!

PseudoBadger · 01/05/2013 15:52

Little boys are amazing! They really do love their mummies, mine is permanently attached to me at the moment :o

MotherOfNations · 01/05/2013 16:11

I've just had my preliminary results back.
Everything looks fine so far and it's another bloody girl. I would have loved a boy as would Dp and Ds but we're just grateful that so far everything looks normal.
So happy but don't want to get too complacent just yet. Keep up the prayers and crossed fingers because it's obviously working.
