Hi all hope everyones plodding on nicely ... Please can I have a moan ?? Went to MIL yesterday all fine discussing things about bump etc told them I'm plannin to breastfeed this time which I'm quite anxious about as even tho this is dc3 its the first time I'm plannin to BF anyway to cut a long story short SIL pissed me rite off by tellin me I HAVE to express so she can feed her niece or its not fair ..... FUCK OFF its my effing baby and if I was going to express and give her a bottle it would be so her daddy cud feed her .... I wanted to punch her in the face silly cow .... SORRY ladies rant over now lol she just has to many opinions on things that don't concern her x

beaver33 · 11/05/2013 15:11

So, the 'poo' cramps are now v definitely something more - getting regular contractions now (totally see why that's what they call them as you can really feel quite a powerful pull in your muscles). Also had a bloody show a few hours ago. So we'll see!

Just (insanely) went to the supermarket to do a massive shop so I am ready. Kept having to cling to the trolley when I felt another one coming. Poor DH.

ng1412 · 11/05/2013 15:33

beaver sounds promising! Very jealous.

I have had nothing since the show yesterday, a bit more came out this morning, sorry if TMI! But nothing else. Am now ready for baby to come out.

Can't sleep during the day as we have so many guests here it is impossible, plus I am in the spare room on the ground floor so can hear everything. It really is quite hopeless. I like having the grandparents here but it is definitely hard work.

I know this sounds insane but I am looking forward to being in hospital for the rest! In Switzerland they will look after your baby for you until they need a feed so I could potentially have some unbroken sleep.

lollypopsicle · 11/05/2013 15:45

Won't be long then beaver! Doing a big shop while in labour sounds utter madness! Grin

tasmaniandevilchaser · 11/05/2013 16:28

Hi

Beaver sounds exciting!

Shelley, your sil sounds like a pain, I react negatively to anyone telling me how to feed my baby, it can be a very emotive subject, well for me anyway.

Still not sure if mini tas is in a good position or not, I keep reading things that say don't do this exercise if your baby is posterior and after Thursday's appt I really have no idea. After last time it would be really good for this baby to be in a good position

ng1412 · 11/05/2013 16:53

I just spent the last half hour pressure washing the large patio at the front of the house. Nesting maybe?! I think also I am so bored of sitting on my arse all day, I can't wait to be active again!

Sparklyboots · 11/05/2013 17:24

Hello everyone, just a quick note to say Paloma er.. something/ probably was born at 12.30 this morning, at just over 8lb.

I think I had a sneeze birth really; first sore/ definite contractions at 10pm, went in at 11.30, had to stop talking during contractions shortly afterward, examined at 11.50 and was 6cm dilated, got in the tub about midnight, contractions sore enough to say ow through, midwife kept insisting I be in a specific direction so she could catch the baby, I thought she was mad, contractions sore enough to think transition about 12.15, suddenly felt like pushing, and couldn't believe I felt her head, told the midwife, who could believe it, second push waters went (like shooting a bullet! Actually fired out the plug at that stage too!) and she was crowning, told to ease into next push, her head came and after a bit of a moo, so did the rest of her!

She's.latching well and we are home, all snuggled up with DS (who got about 10 mins sleep last night). Starting to feel hungry in that magical way that only people without entire other people stuffed into their stomach cavity can... So good luck all, will see you all post-haze, hope for a few more sneeze birth, 40 minute labours....

BeauticianNotMagician · 11/05/2013 17:48

Sparkly Congratulations. Another great name. Wish I could have a sneeze birth and in the pool as well. Yours is exactly the kind of birth I'd like especially being home so quick as well. I can dream.

Beaver Glad things are progressing for you. I'm so jealous.

Anyone else utterly fed up. I just don't know what to do with myself. I'm so very grumpy. I could happily punch poor DP in the head for absolutely no reason Blush

wrigglerchick · 11/05/2013 18:02

Congratulations sparkly! Lovely name and well done on such a speedy labour!

mwncigirl · 11/05/2013 18:16

Hi everyone and congratulations to all the many new mums so far!!
I can empathise BEAUT, getting fed up here and very tetchy. Keep thinking things are happening, then nothing. Getting poo cramps too. Does that mean we're nearly there?? Please? Due on Monday but really don't want to wait that long. Just finished painting the bedroom, so hopefully we're ready!
Properly fed up Hmm

ng1412 · 11/05/2013 18:19

Sparkly how wonderful, many congratulations!

lollypopsicle · 11/05/2013 18:25

Wow sparkly, that was quick! Was your first so efficient? Congrats! Paloma is a beautiful name.

I am a miserable cow too. Been eating pineapple today and having a curry tonight. Not so desperate that I'll have sex yet though Grin

InNeedofSomeSleep · 11/05/2013 18:29

Congratulations sparkly.

All these babies are making me so jealous. I'm due Tuesday and ready now for this little one, got a horrible feeling I'm gonna go the full 12 days over and have to be induced.

BeauticianNotMagician · 11/05/2013 18:40

I think my problem is that Ive been ready for ages. We have everything. Hospital bags, bags from baby to ds's, birthday bits for ds2 , babies room, all baby bits are all ready. Plus all moving boxes are unpacked and house is clean.

I have tried curry ( twice), sex, pineapple, walking and stair walking. I'm getting a chubby face now as all I do is eat as I'm bored. I'm hoping I will be same as previous and go into labour a couple of days before due date on Thursday. I had the boys a day before and day after due date.

Artichook · 11/05/2013 18:47

Congratulations Sparkly, sounds like a totally dream birth. Did you gave any signs before the 10pm contraction?

Good luck Beaver! It sounds like you will be next.

So this morning I had sex, took evening primrose oil, twiddled my nipples for 20 mins each side & bounced on the birthing ball. The nipple stimulation led to mild cramps but they went as soon as I stopped, my other efforts led to nothing. It seems like Monday's induction is inevitable unless I am brave enough to refuse it. I'm so irritable, if only that were a symptom. That and a show, I've had huge shows for four days now but not one contraction.

babygeek · 11/05/2013 19:36

Aw, lovely news sparkly. Fab name and sounds like a not too stressful labour, yay! Enjoy the newborn bliss.

Beaver good luck, sounds like you will have a lovely wee baby in your arms in no time at all Smile

Another one getting frustrated here Confused due date is Wednesday. I got so excited after having contractions for a bit on Wednesday night just gone but it never progressed. Now I just have occasional cramps. I feel so tired and achy, all I feel like is eating, watching tv and feeling sorry for myself. DP has been great with cuddles to cheer me up. I didn't anticipate that I would feel so frustrated but then I thought I would be able to get on with relatively normal activities like walking for example...

I better toughen up in case I still have another 15 days of this! Eek!

39+4

shelly81 · 11/05/2013 19:56

Thanks tas my dsis has asked to punch her Grin even tho I would love nothing more I have obviously refused this kind offer haha, anyone else dreading the barage of visitors after birth xx

Zorra · 11/05/2013 20:07

Congrats Sparkly, that's lovely!

Beaver, that's exactly how I was with my first, mooed my way around waitrose, got home at 3, midwife came at 6, DS in my arms at 10 :) Hope it's a supermarket sign for you!

DXBMermaid · 11/05/2013 20:15

Wow, was away from this thread and the fb group for what felt like a minute and lots of new arrivals. How lovely!

This weekend has been so busy, but from tomorrow (sunday is a working day here) I'm really going to try and cut down and take as much rest as possible. That is after seeing the fysio at 08.00 tomorrow. Not a morning person at all, but this way DH can be there too. We're going to try out birthing positions that will not aggravate my spd and be comfortable for me as well. After that I can finalise my birth plan.

Rest of the day will be spent napping, cooking and seeing my BF and his new wife!

Seeing Dr on Monday. Still in two minds about vaginal exam. Do not care about the exam as such, but as mentioned earlier don't want it to set birth off. Know that quite often this doesn't happen at all, but as there is no medical reason for the exam, I might ask her to wait a week.

Good luck to all those for who things are moving along. Sending patience to the rest of us!

tasmaniandevilchaser · 11/05/2013 20:59

Thanks for the patience DXB, lord knows I need it! Getting lots of poo cramps and then..... Nothing!

Shell I had nightmares about visitors before DD arrived but in the end it was just grandparents for the 1st 3 wks , then a slow trickle so it was fine. I'm quite private, ESP when trying to establish bf! So loads of visitors would be my ultimate nightmare, I found people quite understanding.

Can't believe all these babies arriving, it's helping me to 'keep my eyes on the prize'!

Sparkly huge congrats, sounds like such a lovely birth Smile

MammaBrussels · 11/05/2013 21:28

Congratulations Sparkly, sounds like a dream birth. Love the name too. Shelly, how selfish of you to not realise that this is all about your SIL, how could you forget how important her needs are at this time Grin. Beaver, I'm impressed you made it round the supermarket while in labour - you'll be able to boast about that one at the new mums groups!

Bunnychan · 11/05/2013 22:59

Congratulations sparkly enjoy your newborn snuggles!
I've just had a curry, not to start labour, but to shift my cold. I've been convinced I was going to be early for ages but now I feel that I'm going to go way over my due date. I hate the not knowing of when its going to happen & what to expect x

NoForkNKnife · 12/05/2013 07:48

Bloody hell,Spark! Congratulations!

What a fab name too.

Artichook · 12/05/2013 10:28

Have we only had to boys (10's little one and Wirra's little one.)? We must have had more than that but I can't think.

ng1412 · 12/05/2013 11:17

I think that is right Arti.

I have been out for a walk today in an attempt to get baby out although not helped at all. And it is pouring with rain so I didn't really feel like it but battled through anyway. Oh well.

PIL fly back to the UK today, I think very dissapointed that baby hasn't made an appearance. I will be glad of it being a little quieter, currently I am in the spare room on ground floor and all I can hear is them plus my parents having a good old natter so no rest for me.
