Hayle yours was in the exact position as mine! Myst be the day for lazy upside down babies! Looks great though - and I can see the stomach!

roxvox · 09/04/2013 17:08

I can see your profile now SeriousStuff! Hello little upside down baby! I can see yours too Hayle! Lots of spidermen babies today.

Thanks for the tip OrangeBlossom. I guess that all makes sense. I will ask the dentist anyway and see what he has to suggest.

SeriousStuff · 09/04/2013 17:11

Thanks rox - that was stressful!

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/04/2013 17:15

Yay I can see it now!
Mine was actually standing upright but the angle of the equipment meant that in the picture it looked horizontal.

MotherOfNations · 09/04/2013 17:36

orangeblossom There's been no mention of counselling yet but I'm sure there must be some available. Even if there isn't atleast when I know what's wrong, if indeed there is actually anything wrong I can seek out support groups.

JellyCurls · 09/04/2013 17:46

MoN we were offered genetic counselling after our scans and amnio. They couldn't tell us much but offered us support and advice. DC1 has had follow up appointments and DH and I were seen before we decided on going for DC2. While making decision to have amnio or not it was the obstetricians and support nurses who talked to us.

chickieno1 · 09/04/2013 18:36

MoN thinking of you and DP at this time and sending you what little strength I can.

Rockchick so sorry to hear your news and hope to see you on another bus when you re ready

roxvox · 09/04/2013 18:46

umlauf I missed your post earlier I think; that's brilliant that you've managed to have a chat with someone in Spanish! Must've increased your confidence about it all. I can't imagine living in another country... I am bad enough with people's accents let alone a whole new language!

cuillereasoupe · 09/04/2013 18:58

All well for us, thank heavens.

Flyer747 · 09/04/2013 19:02

Glad to hear news on scans today ladies.

MoN fingers crossed for you with everything, thinking of you and your family.

I have my scan tomorrow absolutely shitting it!!!

pinkmoonlight · 09/04/2013 21:27

Good luck flyer Smile Mine is on Friday and I am shitting it too!! x

pinksky · 09/04/2013 21:28

Hi all, back from my dating scan and very relieved to say all looks fine. I think i was more nervous before that than on my wedding day.
Moved me forward a couple of days and he was being incredibly wriggly and wouldn't face the right way so took about 10 mins and lots of prodding to get a pic. What blew me away was seeing him moving, I had no idea it would be like that, just so amazing to watch, I was mesmerised.

Hayle so pleased your scan was good Smile Any news from Cuillere?

MoN really good to hear about your scan. I'm pleased you took someone along who you felt was supportive. Is your DH just scared do you think?
I hope that the test on the 30th brings reassurance X

All the very best to Flyer and anyone else scanning tomorrow.

On phone so can't a scroll back so excuse me if I muck up lol

Thanks to who asked about my dh appendix he had the surgery today and is in a lot of pain should be home in a few days I'm loving the bed to myself though :-)

Is that good news that the fluid has slightly reduced MoN? Excuse my niaeveaty and I would google but I don't wanna read the wrong info and make an insensitive comment. I'm glad your friend could give u much needed support

Congrats on all the good news scans today I've had a quick peek at your pics :-)

Anyone scanning tommorow? Xxx

PseudoBadger · 09/04/2013 21:44

Great pictures everyone!

pinksky · 09/04/2013 22:08

Just uploaded my fuzzy scan pic - hope it works ok

MotherOfNations · 09/04/2013 22:49

Natalie the reduced fluid means the baby is more likely to survive the pregnancy though the risk of chromosomal abnormalities hasn't reduced. I don't care if my baby has Turner's or Downs. I know I could cope though Dp keeps tying to convince me I couldn't.

Natalieand · 09/04/2013 22:53

Ill be honest with u I've not heard of turners syndrome before you've mentioned it on here, isit a physical or mental disability? I no I sound stupid but I think its cos when most ppl think of a NT scan all they really think about is the Down syndrome risk factor no one really considers that these scans may bring up other risk factors for baby x

Sephy · 09/04/2013 22:54

Looking good pinksky! Pleased yours went well too. So happy to hear MoN's news too - I really hope this all becomes just a bad memory in time.

char1eston · 09/04/2013 22:55

Hi ladies. Haven't read everyone's updates yet so excuse me for being rude and not responding individually.
Had my 16 week scan today and heard the heartbeat. Dd got to hear it too and kept talking about it all afternoon Grin
I had to ask her to use the Doppler though - she said they only do it I asked. Not sure if it's the same everywhere but just thought I mention it.

cazboldy · 09/04/2013 23:15

finally got assignment done, along with a forgotten visit from the farrier Blush - I blame pg brain!! and a friend turning up with her 2 (so there were 7 dc here at one stage!) she was very kind though and folded lots of my washing, hoovered and kept me supplied with coffee and cake Grin

now brain so full of crap about the French Revolution i don't think I will be able to sleep Sad

Congrats to those who scanned today, glad to hear some more positive news for you Mon

and glad your dh has had his op Natalie

SeriousStuff · 10/04/2013 00:16

Amazing facial details pinksky!

ratbagcatbag · 10/04/2013 03:09

Hello lovely ladies, apologies for the gate crash, I'm from the graduated April 2013 group with an early arrival and doing night feeds.
Anyway I posted some of my maternity stuff on the would you like topic, but no one responded, I figured logically, here may be better, I'm happy for it to go to a good home rather than someone tell e they want it, and then sell it. Likely to happen if I free cycle the stuff. Anyway hers the list copied and pasted from other thread. If you want any of it please inbox me. Obviously it's all free, just don't want it or need it now.

Ooh, have my size 18 maternity stuff if anyone interested.
2 x jeans, one over bump, one under, both boot cut style, short leg -new look
2 x bubble hem top, comfy and flattering, one in dark purple, has a tiny hole on the seam, one dusky pink -new look
Lovely jade green going out top, with pull tighter ruching?!?, cowl neck - new look
1 x fitted black jumper with 3/4 sleeves -red herring
1xblack work trousers, short leg. New look again

Let me know if interested, I'm in notts area, may need to pay some towards postage fir jeans as I imagine they won't be cheap.

favellio · 10/04/2013 06:28

Morning ratbagcatbag, you're more than welcome to post here. They're the wrong size for me but I hope you get some interest Smile

OMG it's scan day!!!! I can't sleep. I'm definitely more nervous today than on my wedding day ( I thinks it's because I can't control today, whereas my wedding was planned to the last detail lol)
Massive good luck to todays other scanners GrinGrinGrin

pinksky · 10/04/2013 06:33

I forgot to add my outrage re parking/scan costs - £3 for one hour's parking and £10 for scan pics. £10!! I feel justified taking ages to get a reasonable pic now Grin

Just catching up on news from yesterday. Brilliant scan Hayle I'm so pleased all was OK, and Serious what a lovely clear scan pic too. look at the stomach! That's amazing.

Cuillere just saw your post, really pleased all was well!

Natalie great news about your DH - glad they caught it.

Well done on your essay, caz, hard to be motivated at the best of times but it sounded like you had a hectic day.

MoN I'm sorry you and DH have different views on it. does he know anyone who has Downs Syndrome? I guess the CVS will give you a much clearer idea of what is happening, but it's fantastic that the fluid levels were down.
