Congrats blondies.

roxvox · 08/04/2013 10:55

Fantastic news blondies! Looking forward to seeing the scan picture.
Good luck to everyone else scanning today; let us know how you all get on!

Slippysnow I am one of the lucky ones it would seem. Only a very slight nausea around week 9 when I was very hungry (had it a couple of days max), but apart from that nothing. The only symptoms I can say I have had have been occasional stomach cramps, heartburn and tiredness. I went to my 12 week scan convinced that it was some sort of phantom pregnancy, but sure enough there was a baby in there!

I have said it a few times on here, but my major concern at the minute is the fact that I was feeling the occasional flutter (2 weeks ago), and now I am not anymore.

Slippysnow · 08/04/2013 11:17

Anyone who is interested Asos have a 50% sale on. Including some (albeit not many) maternity clothes

Slippysnow · 08/04/2013 11:21

Thanks for the reassurance roxvox I really hope I am the same as you I have had no scary symptoms apart from random/rare stomach cramps.

Hope it's the baby just spoiling me in the first trimester ;)

Smitten1981 · 08/04/2013 11:30

Just back from the scan. All seems ok, apart from the baby not wanting to move. I had to do star jumps and go for a walk to try and wake it up, but the most it could muster up was a stretch and a gulp.

Nuchal measurement was 2.9mm, which they said was fine. Will try and upload pics when I get back into work this afternoon.

Smitten1981 · 08/04/2013 11:33

Oh and I got put back a few days so now am 11 + 5 instead of the 12 + 2 I thought. New EDD 23 Oct.

OrangeBlossom2 · 08/04/2013 11:36

Congratulations smitten. Mine was very sleepy too, the sonographer had to prod it to make it do a bit of wiggling. Perhaps we will have lovely chilled out babies.

thethreeblondies · 08/04/2013 11:40

Think I've uploaded pic from my phone, let me know! Smile

OrangeBlossom2 · 08/04/2013 11:54

Yes I can see it blondies, lovely!

MumWithCamera · 08/04/2013 12:08

My scan is today! Hoorah can't wait I have been on tenterhooks all thsi time wondering whether everything is ok. It's at 2.30pm so trying to have a bit of lunch and hoping time will tick away quickly...

DD is at childminders so wondering whether we will tell her is everything is good news - she's 3.

Have you told your other DC? Did the younger ones understand?

MumWithCamera · 08/04/2013 12:12

BTW the Amby baby nest/hammock looks very interesting. My DD had awful reflux and was impossible to get to sleep in the moses basket. I remember hours of bouncing on the gym ball and pacing, then putting her down and her waking immediately. Confused In retrospect although the doctors seemed unsure I am sure it was mostly silent reflux as it was so extreme how much she hated lying flat. As the hammock lies them slightly at an angle that would be great for a similar baby - but I'm hoping I will have a baby that settles better this time or I might go doo-lally! Grin

thethreeblondies · 08/04/2013 12:16

We haven't told our DD's yet (8&4) going to wait a couple of days just to check we don't get high risk test results back, we are thinking we might then let them tell all the parents etc Smile

Good luck for later x

MumWithCamera · 08/04/2013 12:19

Thanks thethreeblondies
I couldn't remember from last time whether you have to wait awhile for the test results.. Will definitely wait till we have that information as I'm elderly - 38 Grin - so higher risk...

Haylebop12 · 08/04/2013 12:21

Congrats on the scans so far and best of luck to
Those still waiting.

Dd (4.2) has known a while. Mainly because of my hospital admissions she knows something is going on. Shes fairly switched on.

Scan tomorrow, bricking it. I still feel incredibly nauseous and my boobs still have moments of intense tenderness but still can't get the thought of my scan last year out my head. Don't think I'll be able to relax this whole pregnancy, which is a shame. I was so naive and in educated about all this when pg with dd.

Haylebop12 · 08/04/2013 12:22

Un-educated.

Rockchick1984 · 08/04/2013 12:43

I'm off the bus I'm afraid - looks like baby stopped growing shortly after we saw the heartbeat at 8 weeks. Good luck to all of you, and wishing you easy pregnancies and labours where you just sneeze and the baby pops out Thanks

thethreeblondies · 08/04/2013 12:46

So so sorry rockchick xxx

roxvox · 08/04/2013 12:47

Oh Rockchick1984 I am so sorry to read that. I was hoping our thread was all out of bad luck. Look after yourself and I hope you'll be back on another bus soon xx

pinksky · 08/04/2013 12:55

Rockchick I am so sorry, that's awful news. I also thought this thread had had all its bad luck. I hope you're being well looked after.
