Evening ladies,

Is anyone constantly thirsty??

PseudoBadger · 07/04/2013 21:31

Yes yes yes!

Soupqueen · 07/04/2013 21:44

Yes!

Smitten1981 · 07/04/2013 21:44

Yes, I'm always thirsty and am loving anything that's got loads of water in it, like grapes, pineapple, celery. Mmmm.

In other news my scan is at 9:00am tomorrow. I'm trying not to think about it as it makes me feel sick, I hope I don't get in a state about it and can actually get to the hospital Hmm

moonblues · 07/04/2013 21:50

Good luck for tomorrow smitten. Mine's at 10am. I keeping veering from nervous to excited then back again. :)

TheFalconsmistress · 07/04/2013 21:58

Ooh tag, mines at 9.15 tomorrow!!

ananikifo · 07/04/2013 22:35

Good luck to everyone with scans tomorrow!

I'm really glad to hear others are thirsty because I've been drinking like crazy and wondering if it means I'm dehydrated.

Rockchick1984 · 07/04/2013 22:54

I think the thirst is because we are increasing blood volume, at least I remember reading that somewhere!

My scan is at 11 tomorrow, looks like I'm last...

CocktailSausage · 07/04/2013 23:14

The increased thirst means I wake up with a headache. I don't remember this from my last pregnancy. Hmm

Is anyone having dizzy spells?

CocktailSausage · 07/04/2013 23:16

Good luck to those with scans tomorrow Grin

TheFalconsmistress · 07/04/2013 23:58

chickieno1 · 08/04/2013 02:11

Goodluck with scans tomorrow ladies!

I did an NCT postnatal course as I had just moved to the area before I had ds and wanted to meet some local mums. The course was good and the support from other mums was excellent. We are still in touch 2 and half years later.
I do think that breast feeding courses beforehand were a great help. I went to a half day small group one that I had to pay for and to a more informal one associated with my prenatal yoga course they were both excellent. The biggest thing I took away was skin to skin as soon as baby born! Unfortunantely I had emCS as was quite unwell after ds born but I kept shouting at my dh to do skin to skin Grin. The midwife heard me and she got dh to take his top off in theatre and do skin to skin which was fab. Couldn't even feel my nipples but same midwife helped me with first feed and I'm glad i got that start!
Ok enough from me...... and definitely skin to skin very important whether you bf or not

pinksky · 08/04/2013 06:58

Good luck today, rockchick, smitten, moonblues and blondies - and anyone else - hope your scans are wonderful X

OrangeBlossom2 · 08/04/2013 07:20

Yes to thirsty all the time, yes to being dizzy but only when I first get out of bed in the morning.

Looking forward to hearing about today's scans. Smile

Natalieand · 08/04/2013 07:27

Sephy · 08/04/2013 08:12

rockchick not quite the last, mines at 12! Can't really believe I'm going to get any work done beforehand... Can't wait now!

Did other scanees have difficulty sleeping last night? I definitely did. Will keep checkin to hear how everyone else's went

JellyCurls · 08/04/2013 08:28

Good luck to scan ladies today.

Missed so much at weekend but here goes for a quick roundup on what I can remember. Yes to the thirsty and dizzy ladies I am with you. Got Mat clothes in Asda, very long length trousers have room for a tuck up and I have 33/34" inside leg and got some nice tops too.

Just stood up at work and had the most horrendous pains in my lady bits Blush, felt like insides were falling out. Was doubled up standing at the photocopier. Now really need to pee and scared to stand up again.

Rockchick1984 · 08/04/2013 09:05

Sephy yup difficulty sleeping last night, and had a huge row wit DH over nothing in particular - clearly he's as nervous as I am!!

My dad is coming along to the scan to look after DS, if everything is ok he will bring him in for a quick look at his little brother/sister. Have called and hospital said this is fine, they just don't like unsupervised children in for the scan.

favellio · 08/04/2013 09:09

Hi rockchick,
You're definitely not the last. I'm scanning on Wednesday and pretty sure there's still a couple more people after us Smile
Good luck today to all those scanning today xx

Slippysnow · 08/04/2013 09:52

Good luck to everyone scanning.

Re. Baby nests, a friend of mine has a rather chunky 6 month boy who still has plenty of space in the amby baby nest - they may be bigger than you think.

Re. Thirst- I'm not thirsty anymore was crazily thirsty for the first 6weeks now it's gone which makes me worry. I'm still drinking but nowhere near as much as before. This is the same for my bladder, I don't feel I need to wee all the time again which is a worry. I've also managed to escape being sick really- I had a week of feeling naseous in the evening and sick once each eve (if that). Obviously I'm counting myself lucky if I've just got off lightly but I'm concerened now. Scan on the 15th, fingers crossed

thethreeblondies · 08/04/2013 10:48

Had my scan............all brilliant! Baby wriggling, stretching and positioned well, DH was amazed at how clear he could see everything! Edd now 19th Oct so only couple of days out, will go on lap top later and update a pic and the stat thread, Very happy Grin
