Will this one take us through to the end of the first trimester? Will the sickness ever end? Will we be able to judge genders from those first scan pictures? These and many other mysteries to be solved in... THREAD 4

Re. jobs: I'm in the process of applying for a new one, and have no scruples at all about being up the duff. If I'm the best person for the job then they can bloody well wait three months for me to come back off ML.

Thanks for the welcomes! I've seen this thread before but have been too nervous to join until after my scan!

Are you all showing yet? Am 13 wks today and feel huge but trying to put off telling work. Have only been there a few months so they're not going to be happy! I am nervous about the conversation- any tips for how to approach it?!

Sal I'm so sorry to hear your news, but as you said, the one that sticks is meant to be your baby. Please check in again and let us know how you get on. In the meantime, do something nice to treat yourself - large slab of cake, massage, hair appointment, weekend away, large G&T! Just look after yourself x

So nice to see MrsE pop back in. Wishing you the very best of luck Sal. I like to think that (touch wood) if anything happens there is so much support and a few familiar faces to cushion the blow.

Time is really dragging until my 12 week scan. Can't wait for the burden of secrecy and of not knowing if mini-Dumpling is still there to be lifted.

Sal I'm sorry that you had bad news today :( Hope you are hopping back on a 2014 bus really soon! My DS1 is a feb baby, it's a lovely time of year as you get a few months guiltfree snuggled inside in the warm, then with the bulk of may leave being spring/summer.

I have had quite a day of it. DS has got chicken pox. So never mind telling work today, I wasn't even in work today! DH is abroad on business, which is not good timing either. Though looking on the positive side, what with the 2 bank holidays him getting it now minimises the time off work I will have to take and he has to get it at some point. He seems ok in himself at the moment. I just couldn't believe how quickly the spots appeared. 3 first thing this morning but over 20 now!

tarlia my dd is a feb baby too. Although a little close to Xmas it was great being off over summer! This one ill be due back in may :-(
