Examining body and bump. I have no stretch marks as yet. Does anyone else? I expected loads as I got quite a few on my boobs when they first grew! Boobs are super size. The bras I bought around 16 weeks are too small but I am reluctant to buy more now. When it comes to nursing can they kind of predict what size you might need after milk comes in? I cannot go to M&S 4 days post section just for that! The rest of my body is a bit yuck. I have the chunky thighs and back fat I fought to lose when we got married. But no varicose veins yet either, and my mum and gran were both destroyed by them! Anyone got them?

MrsBri · 24/03/2013 13:07

I like the idea of holidays and breaks away...I keep an eye on Lake District hotels and may book something if I can get a good deal.

Not sure about camping in winter, though DH would be up for it!

We've been trying to film bump movement today. Baby B seems to know what we are doing and stops his acrobatics when we try!

Sarah, no stretch marks here yet. I'm not going to assume they won't come though.

As for bras, I was told to go back a few weeks before birth for a re-fit for nursing bras. Mine aren't too bad for now, though I'm on the loosest fitting now, rather than the tightest.

I'm struggling with more, umm, solid thighs, it has to be said, as well.

So jealous as stretch marks have set in here both sides of my tummy but not all the way round and they are relatively pink (not bright red or purple that I was taught to expect) obviously they may get worse but as yet they are bearable

pinkbear82 · 24/03/2013 13:47

Haven't noticed any stretch marks yet.... Altho did notice very vainy boobs last night!
Think my thighs are starting to expand - getting my just washed maternity jeans on this morning required more of a wiggle dance than I remember previously. Sent a wave of panic over me. Didn't help with the 'I feel huge' feeling I was having.

Think I was told from 38 weeks on is a good time for nursing bras to be fitted.

forgetmenots · 24/03/2013 14:33

No stretch marks (copious amounts of lovely Clarins cream being slathered on every night). But I do have weird pigment changes on my boobs, looks like I've had a reverse tan - nicely brown boobs and milk bottle everywhere else!

Hawkmoth · 24/03/2013 15:13

I have no new stretch marks. There is nothing left unstretched.

Which means they don't exist, Sparkle! :-)

Binkybix · 24/03/2013 16:35

I don't seem to have any stretch marks yet....but there's plenty of time still!

A quick buono notte from Roma where I've been walking around in short sleeves & loving it, but also walking around with Braxton Hicks. Not loving that so much....hurts.

Stay warm you all back in the UK!

AmIGoingMad · 24/03/2013 18:50

Oo Rome! I'm jealous but also happy for you that you're getting a trip awaySmile

No new stretch marks here so far. Fingers are crossed that none appear but I'm not that optimistic ha!

arlandria666 · 24/03/2013 18:56

absolutely loved my scan it was amazing and i was sobbing got some brilliant photos and at one point he stuck two fingers up ha ha! proper little chubby face:-D watched the dvd 4 times already best money i have spent xxxx
now just need to focus on the next ten weeks and get organised can't believe how quickly its going x x

forgetmenots · 24/03/2013 18:59

Arlandria that's lovely :) glad it was such a nice experience!

redwellybluewelly · 24/03/2013 19:00

I didn't get any stretch mqrks until about eight months last time. Was very upset when I looked under bump to see them appearing. This time they've come straight back.

Mine were unnoticeable within 18months. I was a bit over zealous with bio oil though. This time haven't worried, I was never a bikini lass anyway!

Definitely overdid it yesterday, exhausted today.

Littlemissexpecting · 24/03/2013 19:14

Arlandria how exciting? Where did you go? I'm still debating whether to have one or not!
Oil I'm very jealous. We went to Rome nearly 6 years ago and loved it!
No stretch marks here (that I can see). Bump is sore tonight at the top and round by my belly button. Going to watch corrie then bed me thinks.

arlandria666 · 24/03/2013 19:53

i went to window to the womb i am from nottingham it was lovely and the staff were so nice you can take up to five people not including yourself and partner my mother in law and teenage niece and husband came. we got a dvd of the scan 3 key rings 5 pictures printed out and a disc with 36 photos on x x

MrsBri · 24/03/2013 19:56

Littlemiss, my belly button has popped a bit today and is sore too :-( Odd feeling, isn't it?

Baby B is still bouncing round inside. Surely he will sleep soon?!

MrsBri · 24/03/2013 19:57

And that sounds amazing, Arlandria :-) So lovely.

I'm resisting a scan so far, but we shall see!

arlandria666 · 24/03/2013 20:01

Mrsbri i have been umming and aaaring right from early sexing scan at 16 weeks lol talked myself in and out of it so many times lol i only booked it Thursday x x its weird when he is kicking about that i know what he looks like :-D so much in love already x x x

arlandria666 · 24/03/2013 20:02

i didn't have an early sexing scan i just meant i have been thinking about it since then x x

Littlemissexpecting · 24/03/2013 20:08

Sounds lovely. I've been recommended them (also from Nottingham area!!) very tempting!

Littlemissexpecting · 24/03/2013 20:09

Mrs Bri it is very odd. My belly button keeps going in and out at the minute each day is different, very weird.
Bump likes to be active when I want sleep too, they must know!

learnermummy · 24/03/2013 20:33

Sounds great arlandria, i've just booked a 4D scan at Peterborough babybond for next saturday. Excuse is to involve the kids a bit more, but really I just want another peek and a gender check Smile.

maisiebeem · 24/03/2013 20:39

Can't believe we are already another week closer! Still soo much to do!
I have been feeling very strange todo. Little one has been very very wriggly, but I have also been in a lot of pain. At first I thought it was wind, but it hasn't stopped. The pain come and goes, it's a sharp pain in my back and the top part of my bump/ lower lungs! Has anyone had anything similar? I haven't had heart burn yet, could this be that?
As for stretch marks, incredibly annoyed that I have some! Ever since we found out I was pregnant I haven't stopped moisturising! And have been drinking water religiously- plus my stomach was big enough to begin with! Grr!
