Wow, this thread moves fast. welcome to all the bfp's & congrats!!

I'm 6+6 today & I have to say its been a pig of a day. I've always been pale but I've defo taken it to new heights, looking not unlike I've been trawled out a river!

GOTCT my boss now knows as well. Much sooner than I wanted to spill the beans but he was being so supportive about my cyst (had held back on the preggers part) that I felt awful not being completely honest. As I'm having so many crappy symptoms it'll make life much easier so if your boss is cool it makes sense Sterling.

Sorry it's not worked out like that for you when but your health is more important than anything else. Did you see the dr in the end?

I've not had any nose bleeds as such but a similar thing to you mines but that's not that unusual.

& carrying mint around always is good planning in my book!

Been running on about 4 hrs sleep today with almost constant pain. The only thing that got me out of bed this morning was a dash to be sick. Didn't help that I got dropped in it & had to run a Workshop with no prep or notice for the second time this week!! Took out ALL my pregnancy hormones on the artist that did that - oops (it was deserved). Looking forward to a day off tmr

Just cycled for the first time in weeks - muscles def feel v lax!

As soon as the weather clears I'm out running again as I can see my tummy a bit flabby already

Will ad myself is that's ok??

minesahotchoc I'm also getting the bloody snot thing - when I wake up first thing, and near to bedtime in the evening. I am more congested than usual at the moment too.

I've also got the shivers - inconvenient, as our fuel bill will be through the roof .

Very excited about my scan in the morning. Will we be able to get a print out of the picture, do you think? And if we have to pay for it, would that be cash or card? Hoping we can get a pic, as we're telling my parents next weekend (when I'm 9 weeks) as we're taking them on holiday. My dad is 83, so getting quite emotional about his potential reaction!

JBrd awww so close!! Mine is 22nd. Although judging by the bump gracing me ATM im slightly concerned that maybe I have miscalculated?! My tummy is a solid little lump that is noticeable depending on what I wear!

Oh I am so glad I not the only one who is constantly freezing. I am yet to take my coat off and even shivered when 'treating myself' to the warmth of the open oven door...
I am holding on to the fact that pregnancy sickness usually peeks at 10 wks and gradually reduces...I am avoiding the hard evidence from previous pregnancies when she didn't happen quite so soon

I find opening the dishwasher door straight after a cycle has finished is also quite gratifying (though the smell of dishwasher a bit retchy). I am also contemplating a hot bath but know that it will take immense effort to get out as I will be so cold after!

I completely agree about the bloated thing. I am 6 weeks today and could currently pass for 6 months (ably assisted by my already large tummy I should add!). I think the 2 litres of fizzy water with mint at lunch time didn't help. It's not so much fun going out for a boozy lunch without the booze!!

Ugh I am feeling particularly sick and rubbish today.. it almost feels a bit like flu,that body tiredness..

To all the mums on their 2nd + babies, when does this feeling go away? Is it true you feel back to "normal" in the second trimester? I am living on the hope this is true!

Also - not sure if I should ask this - but has anyone else completely lost all desire to DTD with OH/DH's?! Obviously my DH was loving the 'trying to conceive' period (as was I!) but since getting my BFP and starting to feel a bit rubbish, I have absolutely no desire to at all - am feeling quite bad for DH, although he's being v understanding. Hope this goes back to normal in the second trimester too!

Did anyone suss out that you were pregnant always? (it was you meeting up for work lunch wasn't it, with sprig of mint in handbag?)
first I'll admit that in my last pregnancy after the bfp we didn't do it once in 9 mths I can't remember much of a libido at all on other pregnancies, but I know it can go the other way for some people too!
Re: feeling better, again it varies from pregnancy to pregnancy. Dd1 for me 24 wks, dd2 11 wks, dd3 15wks, ds1 12 wks, ds2 11wks. I remember thinking I'd wake up and feel normal but it was a very gradual diminishing of the sickness/tiredness.

I'm with you all on the being cold front - I was like that during my first pregnancy, and then absolutely roasting for the second and the third. So much that at one point, DH very politely asked if it was OK to close the bedroom window at night - it was December, with minus temperatures .
I hope it'll be different this time , otherwise I will just die during the summer...

However, I'm currently drenched in sweat every morning when I wake up, anyone else get that?!

Yep, they all sussed straight away. Actually made it much easier! Until my friend was talking about the fact she had no symptoms at all when she was pregnant with twins! Am seriously concerned as my DH has twins from his first marriage and his dad is one of 3 (count 'em!) sets of twins. I was smugly telling my GP that I had done some research and it goes down the mums side and she just looked at me with pity and hilarity and told me that's rubbish. So I am looking forward and dreading my first scan in equal measure!!

And the mint worked a treat for making me feel better although the waiters thought I was slightly mental!

bizzy fairy I have low bp (even lower now) and have always felt the cold. Completely frozen now. Is it all linked with blood pressure?

I think I must be a big odd. While I really hate the constant gagging and occasional vomiting the symptom I really struggle with is fatigue. It's hitting me even worse than with dd, I just hate it.
In fact she's just gone to sleep. Quick bite to eat then bed for me.

Always your GP is wrong. It's definitely through your family's side because it's the tendency to release two eggs in a cycle that's inherited. The chance of having identical twins is not inherited and is equal for everyone.

I also have lots of twins in my family , that with the risk going up with the more children you have and my age I'm high odds ! My two eldest dc have sussed me out although I do keep changing the subject .Ds 1 is 13 this year and completly gets everything which is v embarassing as I can't use the special cuddles excuse with him anymore
Dd1 just keeps asking me questions about babies I think so I'll tell her ......I feel bad but she is the worst person to tell a secret haha

those worrying about baby getting enough nutrition if they are ill - really dont worry. Think how tiny they are, they only need minute amounts at the minute and they will take it first before you get yours, in the words of my GP last time, they are very effective parasites . I had hyperemesis for a couple of months and couldn't hardly even keep down water, let alone food. on the rare days I manged to keep a bit of food down it was either an ice lolly or some crisps. DS was 9lb 7 ! .

starting to feel a bit queasy now I am just hoping it holds off until DH gets home (he's away with work until the weekend)

arty Have you not tried one of the countless EDD calculators? There's even one on Mumsnet... They just calculate it from you LMP, but it's close enough in most cases...
