Saundy I am at 100 months total bf so far, despite issues, most issues can be sorted out with the right people around you. If you go into it expecting that it may well need help I'm sure you'll be ok. I think one of the major problems is when mums expect it to be easy then they are one of the few who have a problem but no good support (some midwives are fab at help but they are rare you need a peer supporter or ibclc). Get a number for someone who can help within hours of birth.
Ncs best wishes for you today. Try to stay calm.

Hi can I join?! Got a BFP on Sunday, my first after 15 months ttc (I was on clomid, first cycle) and I just can't believe it, so happy. Is/was anyone else really anxious at this stage? Been peeing on sticks like crazy and am a bit worried as I'm 13 dpo and clear blue is saying pregnant (woop) but line tests are still just showing up really faint lines. Shouldn't they be darker by 13dpo? When do my chance start looking good - is that only at 12 weeks?

Fairydogmother · 19/03/2013 07:27

Hi to everyone new!

Sorry will do a better post later as I'm struggling to make complete words this morning - head full of sweetie mice lol

Fairydogmother · 19/03/2013 07:27

Good luck ncs x

MotherOfCleo · 19/03/2013 07:28

alex panic not, mine took a good week to get really dark, I was worried too, but now the test line comes up before the control line. Grin

Thinking of you ncs

vix206 · 19/03/2013 07:33

Saundy I promise you it's safe to search for breast crawl! If I wasn't on my phone I'd have linked to the video!

I definitely had pain (despite good latch) for the first few weeks. After that there was no psi at all. I think it's quite normal from comparing with lots of friends Grin

Saundy · 19/03/2013 07:37

Welcome Alex & congrats! You're pregnant so I'd say things are looking good, there's no benefit in Letting your mind go to other places but most people do wait 12 weeks to tell as its the most vulnerable time. My line was faint too, the depth of colour doesn't matter at all. Smile

I looked at the video. Wow. I'm guessing its not common practice in UK hospitals to go straight for the crawl. The baby looked quite grabby, I'm really hoping the fact that I sometimes hate to have my breasts touched wont kick in.

Also I knew your nipples get bigger but I hadn't realise that big - do they stay that way or eventually go back to normal?

honey86 · 19/03/2013 07:40

alexandra like i said to cleo before, hcg is ment to be secreted in pulses so the levels fluctuate... give it a lil while to get darker...
says me who worried last night cos of a slightly fainter line
yes i still poas after 7.3 weeks Blush

Alexandra6 · 19/03/2013 07:43

Thanks mother and saundy will really try not to stress!

How big are these nipples?!

ncs just read back and really wish you the best of luck today.

honey86 · 19/03/2013 07:43

Alexandra6 · 19/03/2013 07:45

Oh and thanks honey DH saw the pile of tests earlier and was like "babe how many have you done? Is everything ok?!" Maybe I do need to calm it down! The clear blue are still saying positive so that's good.

honey86 · 19/03/2013 07:50

I'm 8 weeks today (got my due date wrong before its actually around Oct 29ish), feel like utter crap - v dizzy (sat at work with head on the desk as I'm in early) - all food except crisps and boiled sweets makes me feel sick and the mo, can't shake the general nausea and flu-like feeling.

Got flu jab tomorrow and job interview, will have to psyche myself up for the interview - it's being led by a former work colleague too so am paranoid she will some how spot I'm pregnant...

Is anyone else sleeping terribly? I wake up, go for a wee and then can't get back to sleep...

CheeseandGherkins · 19/03/2013 08:53

Good luck today ncs.

I've had waves of feeling sick this morning, very unlike me, struggling to not throw up at the moment...

TwoTearsInABucket · 19/03/2013 09:30

Good luck for today ncs.
only breastfed DS for 2 weeks as I didn't have it in me to persevere. DD I breastfed till 14 months and wonder if that's coz she was a natural birth and DS was an EMC. I am thinking of an elective caesarean this time, so a bit anxious that BFing might not come naturally. don't know why.
Finally feeling a bit sick. Watching Man Vs. Food last night didn't help. Bleurgh.

MummaPanda · 19/03/2013 09:41

Thinking of you ncs

saudy I don't rly like my boobs touched either, especially when pregnant. But when dd was born it was weird because I was craving them to be touched. It was like I had the urge to feed her, very strange. I ended up expressed milk for about a week but the pumps weren't sucking good so gave up

Good luck ncs, thinking of you. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Hi Alexandra6 I'm also a newbie, had my BFP on Friday. And I also still poas almost daily at the moment Wink Have not yet done a Clearblue Digi, saving that for the weekend... The FR test was very clear, and also the cheapie tests definitively show the second line, with varying degrees of light-/darkness.

I have a niggly back ache since yesterday, hmph. Not sure why, I really think that it's too early for that kind of thing to be pg-related. Trying not to worry too much about it (not too successfully - I backaches when I was having my mc...).

Is there a stats list on this thread yet? Just curious...

MummaPanda · 19/03/2013 09:54

There is jbrd don't think its been updated for a while tho. There are a lot of new people to add!
Is anyone able to do it? I can't I'm on my phone

Alexandra6 · 19/03/2013 10:06

Hi jbrd newbies together! Glad you're having dark lines (although still really anxious about my light ones!) How many dpo are you, do you know?

Just been reading about what's happening to the little embryo at this stage, is amazing and makes me cry! Hope mine is strong enough to hang on in there and develop.

Having a doctors app at 2pm today to see if they can do anything to see how the pregnancy is going so far.

JBrd · 19/03/2013 10:47

Alexandra6 I'm 17DPO now - I still can't believe it. There seem to be quite a few other recent newbies on here, too.

It was my first cycle after my mc in January, never thought I'd get pg again so soon. I don't think that I will be able to relax until my 12 week scan, I might try and get an earlier one for my peace of mind...

Really struggling to focus at work, which is not good, as I have a meeting with my boss this afternoon!

My timing is all over the place - I've just started job hunting, and I have an interview on Friday for a job that I really want with a company I really like! What on earth am I doing...
Lots of 'what ifs' to think of...

Alexandra6 · 19/03/2013 11:06

Struggling with work too! Just really try and not let work stress you out, especially with this interview coming up. How do you feel about starting a new job with a pregnancy? Just curious. I have been with my company for years and decided not to job hunt because I couldn't cope with the stress of a new job but that was also because of all the appointments I needed for my fertility treatment to get to this stage, so was I worried about that time off.

You're further along than me, I'm only 13dpo so extra nervous, every day is going sooooo slowly, can't wait to get up to 17 dpo+! I'm going to pay for an early scan too. Sorry about your mc. Funnily enough I've just been reading some research that says that after an mc, if the next pregnancy is soon, it has a good chance of being healthy. I've never had an mc, was scaring myself by reading about them. Really need to stop that!

Saundy · 19/03/2013 11:21

Good luck with the upcoming interviews sterling JB

That's really reassuring MP it's a bit like having an experts panel here - though you're all uncharacteristically tight lipped on the nipple restoration front!

Sorry to see that cheese hopefully it'll pass soon.

I've been getting backache too JB & splodge was all good at the scan, it's just another run of the mill perk I'm sure! But fear not you're not the only one.

Dizzy81 · 19/03/2013 11:24

Snowdrop, hugs coming yoru way.
