I also had a lovely day of explosive diarrhoea so glad it's not just me. Better that than being constipated!

MTB82 · 16/03/2013 21:02

Will def hormones. It's going to be a rollercoaster but one cute little grin from our bundle and it will make it all fine!!

Harv I'm with you with the eating loads of rubbish, I'd eat crisps all day if I could and normally wouldn't ever eat them, it's def keeping my nausea under wraps and (touch wood) haven't been sick yet, so I'm just saying sod it and just going with it for now.

harverina · 16/03/2013 21:32

Will its def hormones. I have been so weepy today. Was sobbing at Saturday night takeaway earlier!

Pleased to report that my explosive diarrhoea has got better after about 13 days Grin my tummy is still very dodgy though but not running to the loo. Last Sunday night i barely left the toilet so can empathise with those of you with diarrhoea Hmm hopefully it will pass soon.

Fairydogmother · 16/03/2013 21:33

I had crispy chinese duck pancakes for dinner followed by a mr Kipling apple pie. I haven't eaten like this in about 8 months but they were the only things I could stomach!

Can def confirm those senna tablets are working - been 5 times today! I so love sharing that lol!

DittyRatt · 17/03/2013 00:21

Evening all. Welcome newbies.

Suprisepitstop I too have gone up a cup size. I am wearing the bra' s I bought last time round. I went to la senza to buy them it is the only place I will buy bras from. However, I went against advice to buy non underwired as I absolutely hate them. Also I don't find underwired ones any less uncomfortable during pregnancy, it is personal preference.

Harverina I am on DC3 and haven't worn maternity clothes in any of my pregnancy's apart from when I went to my SIL's wedding last time I was pregnant I bought I maternity dress to wear. Other than that I just bought regular clothes in bigger sizes.

6+5?x

ncsmummy · 17/03/2013 04:48

Hi all, was awol yesterday and missed lots!! Welcome to any new mums to be!

Horrible day yesterday Sad Had some spotting friday night when i went to the bathroom and again yesterday morning then I went to work and my lower back got really painful and then when I went to the bathroom again it looked like I had been bleeding a bit more. Had a complete panic! Trip to emergency docs, he took a water sample and I have a uti. There was blood in my sample and he believes thats what caused the blood I saw. Got some antibiotics now so hopefully it will sort itself out soon. I completely panicked at the blood cos I never had anything like that with my eldest two but hopefully bean is all well.

Dizzy81 · 17/03/2013 07:08

Ncs hugs, hope you're ok? How are you feeling this morning?

Theicingontop · 17/03/2013 07:50

Haven't been around lately, been very busy with cakes, two in one weekend which is a lot for me! Will catch up and post x

BangOn · 17/03/2013 08:07

NCS hope you & bean are both ok. that must've been really scary for you.

i'm feeling quite symptomless, except boobs occasionally feel sore & i'm not quite as hungry as usual. Going to call GP surgery tomorrow & see if can get an appointment this week rather than next.

i kept myself awake last night trying to think of a boy's name. total waste of time - there are no nice names which aren't already bestowed on either a family member or someone else i know. have decided i just know too many people. perhaps not being able to think of a boys name is a sign i'm having a 3rd dd?!

vix206 · 17/03/2013 08:25

BangOn I have a boys name that I love. I never even thought about it before falling pregnant again. If this is a DD (which I must admit I am hoping for) there is a very long shortlist to work through!!! Grin

Hi newbies.
ncs hope you're ok.
Am feeling rank. Have had chronic diarrhea since about eight o'clock last night, don't remember ever having it this bad. I can just about make it the the loo, then because I'm not horizontal anymore I feel like I'm going to throw up too to boot.
We've got friends staying over and have basically been either hiding in my bedroom or the loo. Am the hostess with the mostest!
For those of you with this gross symptom, how're you getting rid of it? Can we take Imodium?

vix206 · 17/03/2013 08:38

Ugh coffee you sound a lot worse than me. I thought I was going to be the same but I managed to get some rest between 1pm0 and 4am at least.
Maybe you have a tummy bug?
Having passed out after taking Imodium I would strongly advise against anybody ever taking it. The hospital explained that it is an evil drug, if you have diarrhoea it's because you need to expel toxins. Blocking them in can be dangerous, as I found out....

I'd imagine it is off limits in pregnancy anyway.

Feel better soon x

vix206 · 17/03/2013 08:39

Oops iPhone fail. Should say I rested between 10pm and 4am.

PassTheCremeEggs · 17/03/2013 08:41

You can't take Imodium while pregnant. I have pretty much starved myself for 24 hours, except for a couple of pieces of dry toast. Definitely seems to have helped, I think it's now on the way out. Keep taking your pregnancy vitamins though. Hope you feel better soon.

honey86 · 17/03/2013 08:44

sickness is on n off like a light switch... one moment im fine, excited and energetic... next moment im miserable and scared to move in case it triggers me to vom...

finally got docs appointment tues Smile 7+1 today... feels like ive been waiting forever for it x

harverina · 17/03/2013 08:53

I just had to let the diarrhoea run its course. Couldn't starve myself as it lasted almost 2 weeks. Coffee I was the same, just making it to the toilet, I was literally sprinting to the loo Shock it's horrible but hopefully will pass soon. I didn't have it with my first pregnancy so was a bit surprised.

My boobs are so so sore! Woke myself up during the night lying on my tummy as they were so tender.

We are all having breakfast in bed its a weekend ritual in my house. Dd sits in between dh and I. It's so lovely being off at weekends. Keep thinking, this time in 8 months I will have a wee newborn snuggling in with us too SmileGrin

getoffthecoffeetable · 17/03/2013 08:56

Excellent news about your GP appointment honey be prepared to have urine sample. GP sent me out to do one and tested it for protein when we got back. DS's face was a picture, he told GP it was "yuck, not nice"
Thanks vix and cream eggs I didn't think Imodium would be allowed, was just grasping at straws really to make it go away. Am now tentatively sucking on lucozade sport drink go try and rehydrate, the joys of pregnancy - not that I'd change it for the world.
On the plus side, DH has a monster hangover and has been up with DS since 5am which is funny. Didn't think he knew 5am existed lol

getoffthecoffeetable · 17/03/2013 08:58

Cross post harverina sounds very cute in your house, nothing quite like those lovely snuggles in the morning

harverina · 17/03/2013 09:33

Honey glad you got gp appointment. 7+1 for me too Grin

Saundy · 17/03/2013 09:36

Well it's good to hear its not a foregone conclusion on the ol' bazumbas front.

Sorry to see so many of you are feeling so rubbish, fingers crossed it passes soon (no pun intended).

I hope I was wrong harv & you enjoyed your retro feast I'm looking forward to getting my appetite back. The night before my scan I had a Chinese takeaway & then panicked half way through about all the MSG I hadn't considered. I'm not surprised they picked up a heartbeat so early the poor little splodge.

DP is being really funny at the min, he seems to be having a phantom pregnancy & matching me symptom for symptom. When I got home last night he was in the midst of deep cleaning the house so he seems to be nesting already haha.

I agree that it sounds very cute in harvs house, something to look forward to Smile

retroelle · 17/03/2013 09:38

Going back a bit, I've gone up a cup size or two, and had a hideous experience in Debenhams trying on a succession of repulsive things, before going to M&S (where I would NEVER buy a bra normally) and getting these

www.marksandspencer.com/Pack-Non-Wired-T-Shirt-A-D-Bras/dp/B00BHOQSHW?ie=UTF8&ref=sr_1_16&nodeId=66404031&sr=1-16&qid=1363512770

in dark purple (don't seem to be on website) which are really comfy and don't look like something off your grandma's washing line. I'm thinking about a sleep bra next, as my boobs are most sore first thing in the morning.

Saundy · 17/03/2013 09:47

There's actually a new thread in the pregnancy section recommending bras it might be worth looking at too.

gubbinsy · 17/03/2013 10:09

Can I join too? Due on 11 November - first timer and feeling alternately excited, terrified and paranoid over every symptom.

I actually cried in the butchers yesterday because a toddler was dancing very cutely. Please tell me this is normal!

harverina · 17/03/2013 10:19

Welcome gubb and congratulations!!

Yes totally normal to feel emotional, it's just your hormones going crazy!

I actually quite like marks and Spencer's for bras. The per una ones can be quite nice. I am coping ok with my bras just now, but I'd say in a couple of weeks i will need to hit the shops.
