I got all mine from figleaves last time. They often have sales on maternity bras and do free returns if you need to swap sizes etc.

MissTweed · 16/03/2013 17:41

Room for a little (but rapidly expanding one?) I'm due (online estimate) 28th oct but I'd rather be in your gang!! Hehe

I'm so glad I've found this thread as most of the other stuff in the forums are about ladies much further along and I was feeling jealous and not properly part of the club!! ...... And now I do!! Yay!!

stuffthenonsense · 16/03/2013 17:52

Welcome miss tweed, you're not the only October, so don't worry.

With regards bras, at some point, sadly, comfort wins over beauty, wear the pretties whilst you still can.

harverina · 16/03/2013 17:52

Surprise think its ok to wear underwired as long as they fit properly - so the wire should not be pushing on any of the breast. I wore underwired last time until late on when I switched to nursing bras because my boobs were huge, my bump was huge, I could hardly breathe as it was without uncomfy bras! I intend doing the same this time, just normal until they get uncomfy. My bras are ok so far but they won't last too much longer. I recommend bravissimo although they are not cheap. I usually get one or two from there and cheaper ones from m&s.

I have felt miserable all day- hard to put finger in what's wrong, just shattered, upset dodgy tummy, heartburn, grumpy...my poor dh and dd!! We have been food shopping and have some goodies for tonight. Got myself some smoked salmon mmmm! I wasn't a good help to dh at the shops as everything was making me queasy...of of gone alone I would have left with hardly anything Smile

harverina · 16/03/2013 17:53

Welcome miss tweed and congratulations its nice to see another new person Grin

Saundy · 16/03/2013 18:04

I read recently some sort of campaign to go to Bravissimo to get measured & fitted as they don't leave extra inches other places like M&S do so it's a better fit. If underwired is comfy then there's no reason to change over so soon.

Am well jeal of all these big bangers, not a jot of change here. I hope it's not indicative of milk production later - though I'll worry about that in 8 months!

Welcome MissT & congrats Smile

Saundy · 16/03/2013 18:06

I know how you feel havernia I'm having one of those days too.

Is smoked salmon not on the no go list though (sorry)?!

MTB82 · 16/03/2013 18:07

misstweed a partner in crime, snap on the due date-yey!!! Welcome!!

Fairydogmother · 16/03/2013 18:21

I've just downed about a pint of orange juice - I haven't drank that in years!

Hoping that lots of soft fruit and juice might stop any bunging up lol

I'd say this group will be enormous shortly as there must be loads who are just finding out now!

Fairydogmother · 16/03/2013 18:23

Hi miss tweed!

vix206 · 16/03/2013 18:44

Saundy - don't worry. Size increase has no bearing on milk production. And later on, neither does leaking milk. I didn't leak milk once and yet had a troublesome over supply for the first 4 months!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 16/03/2013 19:09

Happy birthday loz hope you had lots of sleep.

fairy please advise me on constipation. It's really starting to take its toll Blush

Dizzy81 · 16/03/2013 19:09

Hi miss tweed.

Fairy, prune juice helps but don't drink the whole bottle!!

I had a two hr nap this afternoon and still feel sleepy! Dh has commented on me being a grouch - blame the hormones and ad made a comment on the boobs looking bigger!

Not long ago changed the sheets on the bed and could have happily crawled in there and slept.

Anyone else got the sneezes?

Saundy · 16/03/2013 19:15

Well that's good to know Vix am hoping the minimal changes will act as Sind sort of damage limitation for the aftermath. I have friends who have described what's left akin to a sock with a golf ball in the bottom, I think that's one of my big body worries.

Saundy · 16/03/2013 19:16

No sneezes Hmm

Dizzy81 · 16/03/2013 19:19

Hmmm, since I found out I've pregnant I've had cold symptoms on and off!

MummaPanda · 16/03/2013 19:24

I threw up again this morning Sad I also spent the afternoon with my mum n sis (who don't know) and dd going shopping and now I'm soo exhausted Sad

Welcome to all the newbies!

Fairydogmother · 16/03/2013 19:26

I've got a mini cold too!

whenshe I got tescos senna tablets and took two last night - really helped and they were cheap. Made me feel so much more comfortable in hours before - ahem - helping things move lol!

vix206 · 16/03/2013 20:06

Saundy everyone is different but for the record I had DS at 32, went up 4 cup sizes through pregnancy, breasted him for over 2 years and my boobs are still pert and the size they were originally (for now). No stretch marks and no sagging. Good support helps but a lot if it (IMHO) is down to genes Smile

harverina · 16/03/2013 20:16

Yeah Saundy, the size of your breasts are nothing to do with mlk production. Even women with verysmall boobs can breastfeed :) I have to say, there is not much change in my boobs since having DD1 and she breastfed for almost 2.5 years.

I am feeling a little more human tonight. Went to shops earlier and was sick as soon as I got out of the car in the garden Shock then again when I came in the house. First time have been sick and I felt that it was related to heartburn rather than MS. I have to say it was tiny quantities (sorry tmi) but made me feel a lot better.

Saundysmoked salmon is ok to eat as far as I know. I will double check before I eat it as if it is safe I plan to eat a considerable amount if my body allows! Along with avocado and seafood sauce...very 1980's haha!!

Someone mentioned down the thread that they are feeling sick but that eating is helping and I am exactly the same, except for this afternoon. Eating really helps my sickness, especially if I eat crisps which I know isnt great. I am a bit worried that I am eating total rubbish all the time as I cant face fruit and veg, but my DH thinks I should just go with it for now? Hopefully by the second trimester I will be back to normal in terms of my eating habits!

Dizzy I am being a major grouch too and my poor DH is probably getting fed up with me :(

I was supposed to be going away today to liverpool with a few friends. I was still planning on going until the end of this week but in the end I couldnt face the train journey with my dodgy tummy. Thank god I didnt go now after the way I have been feeling today, I would have made everyone else miserable. Feelsad that I am missing out on the fun but delighted why iykwim :)

For those of you who are on DC2 or more, when did you start wearing maternity clothes last time? I didnt get maternity clothes until roughly week 20 last time.

Sorry for huge post. Im on my laptop and its so much easier to type than my phone so I have gotten a little carried away :)

Hope you are all feeling ok and having a nice relaxing Saturday night.

williaminajetfighter · 16/03/2013 20:17

It's been a weepy night for me, having a bit of a wobble. I so wanted to be PG but now am having a mini-meltdown thinking about the sleepless nights, nursery fees (years of paying 700-800 pounds per month!) subsequently feeling broke all the time and generally looking and feeling knackered and age isn't on my side! Feel like i'm on a cliff edge...

This is hormones, right??!

MummaPanda · 16/03/2013 20:31

harverina I never rly went into maternity clothes last time, had a few maternity tops when I got really big, but other than that wore leggings and a long top/jumper, or jogging bottoms. But this time I think I will have to invest in a proper maternity wardrobe, I'm already thinking of getting a back and bump support as carrying dd is already getting a challenge!

vix206 · 16/03/2013 20:32

Williamina yes - hormones. And totally normal! I have wobbles at least once a day, how on earth will I cope with 2 DC's etc.

Also, I've spent the evening so far mostly on the loo. Diarrhoea :( not sure if its a bug or a symptom of pregnancy. I guess time will tell!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHopeful · 16/03/2013 20:33

williamina it is hormones. No question babies are hard work and bloody expensive but it will be worth it.

I'm pretty weepy at the moment too, it's definately the hormones.

PassTheCremeEggs · 16/03/2013 20:54

I also have terrible diarrhoea vix - think it's a pregnancy thing but definitely didn't have this last time. Joined with overwhelming tiredness and splitting headaches it's a bundle of laughs at the moment! Looking after 10 month old DD not fun Smile
