Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

of course the new date measn my 40 weeks started on Dec 19th before I even had my last period but thats the silly thing with how they work out dates isn't. It's actually only 38 weeks isn't. So I actual fact if we did it on jan 2nd (wednesday) my new date of Sep 25th is bang on! Grin.

Anyone finding being pregnant is playing havoc with their ability to make decisions? We've been talking about moving house for a while now and we'd even started the house selling process rolling with the estate agents. Now I think I've changed my mind. But I'm not sure. Argh! They're pushing us to get on with getting our house on the market and I'm paralysed by indecision. Can't stop thinking about it but can't seem to make a decision either. DH is very preoccupied with work at the mo doesn't even seem to want to discuss it. But I can't make a decision like that by myself!

BTW pmsl at the idea of the immaculate conceptions!

JammyTummy · 20/03/2013 14:14

at Lexy's pink nylon dress...

Ugh I'm drinking prune juice, it's so un nice!!!

jennimoo · 20/03/2013 14:17

Don't worry about the dates, it's just how big the baby is that day and their best guess at an EDD. My friend had IVF and so was very sure and yet was still moved!

Readytosettle · 20/03/2013 16:00

Does anyone else suffer from back problems? I'm really starting to worry now about how I back's going to cope with the strain of pg & then lifting a baby about once it's born. Have started pram research to try and find solutions rather than worry, but doesn't seem to be much advice out there :-(

ION my nuchal came back as 1:50,000 so that's one less thing to worry about.

jennimoo · 20/03/2013 16:20

So, no advice on backs :(

Just a funny pelvic floor 'incident' involving my ever worsening cough and far too much leakage! Particularly funny as DD present and she had also 'wee weed on leg' just 2 days before when her nappy leaked. I think I might need to wear a nappy at the mo, but she's meant to be starting potty training next week!

JammyTummy · 20/03/2013 17:03

I am at the end of my tether... I drank half a big bottle of prune juice and about 4 coffees and gave myself lots of belly runs in the hope of some bowel movement but still nothing! Sorry tmi but the gas is killing me!!! Belly is rock hard and I smell like a homeless person Sad

JammyTummy · 20/03/2013 17:04

Belly rubs that is. Belly runs would be good though!

Eeeknumber3 · 20/03/2013 17:17

jammy I empathise, I really do. I have too been suffering and parked at constipation station. Then yesterday I had an epiphany, or maybe an epoophany? Went to a load your plate up type of pub carvery and went a little overboard on the spring greens and cauliflower...today,I am thoroughly cleansed...so I prescribe you a big plate of cabbage and curly kale with a side of cauliflower...I do however smell like our compost heap, there is a downside to everything!

JammyTummy · 20/03/2013 17:30

Awwww eek reading that I was hoping you we're going to prescribe eating a big roast! Wishful thinking...
I love cauliflower, I do wish I had some. Too scared to leave the house in case of further digestive developments or an accidental fart. What?!? Omg who said that?!?

JoCheshire10 · 20/03/2013 17:35

I have a question-my midwife said that I shouldn't dye my hair throughout pregnancy as the chemicals travels through the placenta. She also said that my hair wouldn't take the dye...

But when speaking to my friend who's a hairdresser she said that she's only ever had one client not due their hair and offered to so mine in foils to stop contact with my scalp.

What's everyone else doing? Am I overly worrying?

jennimoo · 20/03/2013 17:43

I checked out the dyeing. I think there is no evidence if harm, but to be on safe side avoid first trimester. Highlights are fine anytime as don't even touch the skin.

HTH!

jennimoo · 20/03/2013 17:44

No evidence OF harm!

Eeeknumber3 · 20/03/2013 18:07

jammy I'm preying for a speedy resolution to your blockage...got any baked beans...?

TripleRock · 20/03/2013 18:28

Found out today that i've passed the last exam of a qualification i've been studying for on and off for the last 7 years. With bloody distinction as well, woop de woop!

LexyMa · 20/03/2013 18:33

Hurrah for triple!!! (Just had to post to get the thread off 666 posts) :)

kimjayne · 20/03/2013 19:12

Anyone wanting to watch the show on bbc3, it's repeated now! :)
By the way, Im loving the tips on creams and lotions for stretchmarks. That lemon smelly one sounds fab! Might invest in a run this weekend. X

kimjayne · 20/03/2013 19:17

Oooh jammy tummy! The mama mio tummy rub is £23 at John lewis ... And I have £30 vouchers for guess which shop?? .... Grin

Girraferama · 20/03/2013 19:57

ready I suffer back problems too, used to see a chiropractor weekly but had very few problems for last 3 years (chiro always said I'd need to see one when preg and wear a back brace), it tends to eat bad as soon as I stop regular exercise, even for a week or two, its started feeling 'weak' recently and I'm panicking! Going to pregnancy yoga next week and trying to swim too, plus lots of walking. Neighbour got bad knees during pregnancy and said the docs were really good, sent her to physio straight away. I'll go to docs as soon as it plays up I think.

jo I dyed my hair this week - it took fine! I had one of the weekly emails from nhs early on which stated there is no evidence it does any harm, but recommended not to do it in first trimester.

frogchops · 20/03/2013 20:14

Crying ridiculously at this programme!!

Readytosettle · 20/03/2013 20:48

Thanks Giraffe, nice to know I'm not alone....exactly the same, as soon as I stop exercise I get weak. Prob is that pg is relaxing all those core muscles that hold my back together. Am seeing a chiro, but it's more the fear of what's ahead (chances of me exercising once I have a small baby are slim to none!)

I got my highlights done today! Not recommended if you're still feeling nauseous as the smell is quite strong ;-)

juniper9 · 20/03/2013 20:57

Had my blood results back today- turns out I've had slapped cheek before so I'm immune. Such a relief! Smile I've never been so pleased to have suffered an illness!

CharlW1 · 20/03/2013 21:11

Kim just watched bbc 3 programme with OH. So good - I now think OH will be fine - on a roll now watching OBEM!

Jo I was told colouring your hair is fine - I do mine in Nice and Easy because it is ammonia free - it takes fine covers my stray gray hairs anyway

CharlW1 · 20/03/2013 21:12

Oh and well done triple great news!! Smile

JoCheshire10 · 20/03/2013 21:33
