Hi everybody, Congrats on the scan frog - is that all of us scanned now? I am 15+1 today, I don't know HOW that happened... time has flown in the last two weeks. We've now told everybody and done the fb announcement... the only people who don't know yet are my guides and their parents (because we haven't sorted out a replacement guider yet).

I've ordered my first maternity trousers - a couple of khaki/chino type ones that I think I can dress up for work and down for casual. I also have dresses that'll do for work for quite a while yet and trackies/yoga pants for casual. My jeans still fit below the bulge (not a bump yet) for now too.

I'm not a massive fan of shopping in general so hope that'll do for now. Anybody else not really into shopping?

Dorita75 · 15/03/2013 19:01

Yes jemima I had an awful migraine last week and was in bed all day. I think more hormonal rather than lack of water though.

I've ducked out of the wedding do I was supposed to go to tonight, DP gone to represent us! Night on the couch and comic relief for me Grin

badguider · 15/03/2013 19:05

I've had three migraines this pregnancy so far - ALL brought on by getting overtired SadAngry. The trouble is that I don't necessarily realise I'm overdoing things till it's too late.

Creamtea1 · 15/03/2013 19:10

Lovely news frog :) glad it went well
I think that's all of us done now!
Am surprised noone has asked yet, but who is first with the 20 week scan? I'm on 22nd April. What we need to do in the same vein as the twin questions, is if anyone finds out what they are having we can check against the old wives tales/Chinese chart/nub theories etc to see if they were right or wrong..

badguider · 15/03/2013 19:21

I'll be 20+0 on 18th April but haven't had any information about my scan yet. I got a voicemail from my MW moving my appt from 25 Mar to 8 Apr due to her holidays so will probably phone up to confirm that and ask about the scan too.

When is everybody else's next MW appt? 8th April I'll be 18+4 and it'll be my first appt since booking. I assume that means there's nothing concerning in any of my booking in bloods/urine tests???

nerual · 15/03/2013 19:27

Congrats frog, that's great news!
I think it's just me and juniper to go for scans now...I think juniper is monday and I am thursday...still seems like FOREVER away.
And apparently it's going to rain all weekend, aaargh.

BinarySolo · 15/03/2013 19:36

Congratulations frog! I was so big that I was actually a bit miffed it wasn't twins! I even said 'there's only one?' in an outraged voice to the sonographer.

Looking forward to April 22nd for the next scan. Still not decided on whether to find out what the sex is this time.

badguider my next antenatal appointment is on 28 march when I'll be 16+0. I'm surprised you're not seeing anyone till 18wks, I thought a 16wk check up was standard? Maybe it's another of those regional variations? I'm in Sussex.... This one is with the community midwife at my gp and I think we get to hear the heartbeat Grin

20wk scan is on 30th April (I'll be 20+5). Seems an age away!

jennimoo · 15/03/2013 19:48

I think there's still at least one 12 week scan to go, 22nd march sticks in my head.

My 20 week is 8th April! Will be finding out I think.

After just getting over flu from last week I've come down with a good old common cold today. Really fed up of this constant illness now...

Whyriskit · 15/03/2013 19:51

badguider - I know we're in the same area and I haven't heard anything about 20 week scan either.
I do have a 17 week mw appt though (originally 16 wks but we're on holiday then.)
Congrats to all new scan people!

Whyriskit · 15/03/2013 19:56

And kamikazee , yes, it was failure to progress again and this time DS2 was in distress, so it was all very quick. (Not the labour bit obv, that was v v v slow!). They used the same incision and it healed no probs. Hope I'm as lucky this time! Glad your consultant seemed reasonable!

CharlW1 · 15/03/2013 19:58

Great news with your scan frog. I have my 16 week appointment with the community midwife next Thursday and have been told to book a consultant appointment because of having low platelets and then 20 week scan is on the 19th April - count down and worrying will begin again soon!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend Smile

Creamtea1 · 15/03/2013 19:58

binary we are 20 wk scan buddies :)
Ive got a 16 week midwife appt on 25th march - really hope I get to hear the heartbeat. I think that's the norm here, won't have one after that till 24 weeks.

frogchops · 15/03/2013 20:13

It was A mazing!!! He spread his little fingers while the lady counted them and waved then he closed his fist and she took the pic. Nt measurement was 1.5 which I'm guessing is ok, crown to rump was 66.7mm. I was in a daze, so when she talked about 20 week scans I wasn't really listening. I know she said its around 3rd may but not sure if I had to book it while I was there. Oops. Mw apt is at 18 wks around here and that's not booked yet either. Measured 13 weeks today so I've gone forward two measly days.

frogchops · 15/03/2013 20:22

I've just for no reason at all, called tadpole a he!!

fl0b0t · 15/03/2013 21:06

Is there anything more miserable than nausea, vomiting, and a throat infection/fluey cold? Been asleep on the sofa since 7, now in bed. Sucks.

Glad to hear more good news about scans!

Not got 16wks midwife appt, but have got 20wks scan on 2nd may....

Wincher · 15/03/2013 21:24

I have my 16 week appointment on 26 march and my 20 week scan on 29 April.

I've been bowling this evening and discovered it really didn't agree with the bump! I have an achy back and bump now and feel a bit stupid... having my weekly glass of red though which is lovely.

SGJ · 15/03/2013 21:48

Thank goodness someone else is having a drink today - I've been craving a glass of something all day today (ideally a cocktail but that's not gonna happen!!) - going to reach for the red now, guilt free!
My 20 week scan is 12th April, 8.40am!! Probably the only time I don't mind having an appointment so early!

andadietcoke · 15/03/2013 21:56

I've had such a horrid three days at work that as much as I would love a nice glass of wine, I've decided that no wine would be better than just one glass! Normal coping mechanism for the a shit storm of this scale would have been the best part of a bottle. Each night. Blush

astroming · 15/03/2013 21:57

Congratulations Frogshops and everyone else with recent scan results! Ive been reading but not posted for a while as i had a tiny bit of spotting and major cramps and the next day what little symptoms i did have had all disappeared:-( I have my 12 week scan next Weds and i did have a private one at 8 weeks so there was a little baby there but now im worried its a mmc and i know its stupid as i have an expanding tummy but that could just be pizza bloat etc.

Anyway im almost pretending its not even happening and ive my 4 year old daughters birthday party in our tiny house tomorrow to keep me occupied. Omg what have i let myself in for.....and no wine to keep me sane!

Good luck to all those with scans early next week.x

Readytosettle · 16/03/2013 07:24

I booked my 20 week scan at my 12 week scan- in for 8th may. Had to move my 16 wk midwife to 17 wks as I stupidly forgot to put it on my work diary & then booked a customer meeting at the same time. Not really in much of a hurry to see the midwife again after last time anyways!

Dorita75 · 16/03/2013 07:32

Lovely scan news frogchops !

I've got 16wk midwife app on 28th March and 20wk scan on 19th April (am your scan buddy Charl)

Eeeknumber3 · 16/03/2013 08:03

I had my glass of vino last night too, had the same worry as you diet as normally I'm a 'oops where did that bottle go' kind of drinker. However, it's really very strange, towards the end of that one glass I have an overwhelming 'ooo I don't really want anymore' kind of feeling....which is extremely novel for me, no doubt that new sense will disappear as expediently as it arrived like it did after DS and DD were born!

Eeeknumber3 · 16/03/2013 08:03

And frog fabulous news, I was convinced you had two!

Eeeknumber3 · 16/03/2013 08:05

Ha ha you and I both astroming we have my DD's 5th birthday party this afternoon, I am currently preparing 'pin the tail on the donkey', I love spinning them round and watching them wobble....mwah, ha, ha, ha....
