When I saw the consultant when pg with DS2, I was determined to have a VBAC, and I think if I had been undecided, that's the way she would have encouraged me to go.
I think it depend on why you had the emcs last time - mine was failure to progress, so just one of those things and no reason for it to happen again.
In my case, it did! When's your cons appt?

Kittenkatzen · 15/03/2013 12:20

good luck today scan ladies! Looking forwards to hearing frogs twin announcement later haha :oWink;o

Off to have a nosy at kimjayne's baby names linky

JoCheshire10 · 15/03/2013 13:08

Thanks Dietcoke

Bit of both! I live in Cheshire, but also craving Cheshire cheese Grin Cheese on toast is my idea of heaven at the mo!

Creamtea1 · 15/03/2013 13:37

I think I've got a bit obsessed about the nub theory! Can't stop googling and researching now Blush

EmmaDee · 15/03/2013 13:40

Had a quick look at the name link! Buzz-bee is definately on my list!!!

kimjayne · 15/03/2013 13:57

Blade and Tinkerbell were my favorites on the names link! :)
I thought the regional statistics were quite interesting and also the seasonal info.
One of my relatives has just sent me 10 books on pregnancy!! I would literally have to read half a book each week to learn everything there is to know. Surely I will deserve a qualification in pregnancy by the time I finish reading? :)
Quite excited as I have also been promised a bag of maternity clothes! Which I will get on Sunday. Hurray. One less thing to fork out for. Woop woop!

How are the scan ladies getting on today? How many scans are left to go after today? Are we almost all done?

34PinkLadyApple · 15/03/2013 14:00

Hi frog! i remember you from the JS threads. I'm on the Oct bus but am having a poke around for old chums other buses. Good luck for your scan in an hour. My 12 week one is on Tuesday! So nervous.

Good luck to all on this bus! Hope you have smooth, trouble free, pregnancies and labours Flowers. I will be checking in to keep track of you all as you are slightly ahead of me and will be interested to hear what's going on. I may even be joining you if my scan pulls my date forward a few days Grin

ramble ramble.... sorry.

Eeeknumber3 · 15/03/2013 14:25

Allo, allo...awaiting frogs news! I am like a headless chicken as DD is 5 today and having a chuffing party for 30 kids tomorrow, for some reason I always get horrendously stressed about kids parties...I don't think the new baby will ever get them, am so heartily sick of them after DS (better as doesn't 'do' big groups, so generally he only had 4 friends for bowling, mcD's etc) and DD, who is like party girl extreme! Please think of me tomorrow, when I am surrounded by 30 stroppy 4/5 year olds! Now, off to wrap the pass the parcel and do the all important party bags!

Kittenkatzen · 15/03/2013 14:44

More fun gender guessing theories can be found here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/1708717-Grab-your-scans-ladies-for-the-drumroll-Ramzi-Placenta-Theory

I've been studying my scan pic but am completely unable to see the nub, and the placenta as far as I can tell is directly above baby's feet and not really to the left or right Confused maybe I'm having a hermaphrodite! :o

Manoodledo · 15/03/2013 15:02

Good luck with the party eek. I know how you feel. Poor DS1 has only had one proper party with friends from school and I was ridiculously stressed out about how we'd entertain them and whether it would be a success (it was, thankfully!).

Someone, can't remember who now, mentioned back pain and I have this today. Really achey and also a lot of stretching pain round the front. Not that worried, but it is annoying. Spent the whole morning at a playgroup 'eco-event' in the woods. We still have snow on the ground here! Brr, just what I wanted...

andadietcoke · 15/03/2013 15:12

Manoodle I feel your pain, literally. I'm on day 3 of stretching pains, leg pain and back ache. I've started to quite like it though as it normally precedes a noticeable growth spurt which reassures me. Hoping that this time it's LittleTwin growing!

Manoodledo · 15/03/2013 15:34

dietcoke yours is probably double my pain then! Now that you mention it my legs are sore too. Hopefully not too much of a growth spurt on its way, I've been quite enjoying not being as big as I was with DS2. Go go LittleTwin though!

EmmaDee · 15/03/2013 15:46

Oh Ive been having a few random pains in my leg muscles and back, is that they type of pains you mean?

Creamtea1 · 15/03/2013 15:48

Any frog news yet?

purplebynature · 15/03/2013 15:51

What I've learned today...do NOT start watching old john lewis Christmas adverts on youtube. Blubbering wreck here!

frogchops · 15/03/2013 16:01

Frog news!! There's only one.!!!!
I cried. A lot. It waved. I cried a bit more!! SmileSmile

purplebynature · 15/03/2013 16:04

Congratulations frog. Passing you the box of special tissues x

Kittenkatzen · 15/03/2013 16:10

jemimahpuddleduck · 15/03/2013 16:54

Glad it all went well frog

Readytosettle · 15/03/2013 16:57

Yay frog!

34PinkLadyApple · 15/03/2013 16:59

Yay frog! Really pleased you saw your tadpole and it waved! Smile

Readytosettle · 15/03/2013 16:59

Found out today that another of my colleagues is pg....three of us sat in a row together until about 6 weeks ago & we're all pg! Bearing in mind there's only about 20 people in the uk office that's actually a fairly major incident! Wonder if there'll ban any other women from sitting in those seats??

HettySunshine · 15/03/2013 17:07

I like it the frog had a tadpole. I hadn't thought of that before. I guess that means I have a sun beam! Smile

Great news froggie, congratulations! Grin

kipsonline · 15/03/2013 17:34

Hello everyone! Just checking in after a horrid week. DH away, loads of stress at work, boys ill and up in night etc etc moan moan. Lovely to hear all the good scan news and sorry but I did have to laugh at the glasses in the sicky loo!! I am another huge bump, def only 1 wriggler in there but I am 16.5 weeks and look at least 20 but am cosy in my maternity jeans so 'not bovved'.... Am off to follow your links on baby names and gender guessing! Interesting stuff....

KamikazeeKid · 15/03/2013 18:09

whyriskit what happened during the following labour to end up in another section? Laxk of progress again?

My appt went well and they are happy for me to choose either...I asked lots of questions and he gave me lots to think about so I'll decide and advise at 36 weeks now. He was more encouraging about vbac and didn't really say any cons about vbac more cons of cs....but not pushy thankfully.

Did you have any issues with healing or adhesions with either section?

Mine was due to foetal distress and no progress
