Oops, seems we ran out of room without noticing!

Alex you might not have to, many people don't grow before the milk comes in. I managed to grow a good 3 sizes in the first trimester Confused

Purple easiest to get an approximate size is simply to take your under and overbust measurements. Post if you don't mind and I'll tell you where to start. No need to wear those mumsy non-supportive non-wired things though.

Purplemonster · 26/03/2013 18:13

I will Hazle, just as soon as I've been to my Mum's to borrow a tape measure Wink (I'm afraid I'm a terrible failure of a woman and I feckin hate sewing or anything like that so don't have any of the equipment, I'm probably going to be a terrible mother as I have every intention of sending her to Granny's the minute she needs some sort of fancy dress get up)

Alexandra6 · 26/03/2013 18:30

I can't sew to save my life either purple!

Alexandra6 · 26/03/2013 18:44

This might be tmi but on the subject of bras etc, had a peek at my boobs when I was getting out the shower just now and have to say they've never looked better! Mine are relatively small and usually nothing to write home about but pregnancy suits them so far! Shame DH won't be benefitting from them!

HazleNutt · 26/03/2013 18:44

I wouldn't know what sewing was even if it jumped up and bit me. Fancy dress? That's what ebay is for!

Alexandra6 · 26/03/2013 18:45

I second that, eBay all the way!

Cavort · 26/03/2013 18:51

Purple have you though of trying bra extenders to keep you in your old nice bras? Mine haven't grown either, they just feel a bit firmer, which is annoying because porn star boobs was the only pregnancy side effect I actually was looking forward to. Sad I am also completely ignoring any advice not to wear underwires.

Oooh they're a fab idea Cavort! Don't know what I'd do without you lot!

janey1234 · 27/03/2013 08:58

Had a dream about you all again last night. Very odd. Cavort, you looked like you did on your wedding day - beautiful and very glamorous. Hazle you were teeny tiny - as in under 5 foot. Brave you were wearing a jumpsuit and saying they were coming back into fashion! Alex you were you. Purple, you LOVED the colour purple -from your eyeshadow to your feet, everything was purple. Anyway, we all went speed dating together. And drank a lot of wine. So I don't think any of us were pregnant or had DP's/DH's. Strange....

I'm wondering if the baby has moved or something in the last day or so. For about a week my appetite has been teeny (by my usual greedy standards - so I guess about average for a normal person Wink ) and I've basically been unable to finish any meals. But yesterday my appetite came back properly. I'm wondering if the baby was somehow squashing my stomach a bit, and now it's moved?

BraveLilBear · 27/03/2013 09:19

Ah but jumpsuits are coming back into fashion Janey Wink I love your dreams, thank you for sharing! I keep forgetting mine at the moment, which I think is a good thing as the ones I do remember are really scary Shock

Twas I in bra hell Hazle - Purple you must listen to this woman, she is a genius. I kid you not. Always thought I was a 34AA thanks to conventional bra advice (though I wore a 32A when I realised the shape was better). Some advice from Hazle and a trial-and-error trip to Debenhams later, I came out in a perfectly fitting 30DD, this was at 5 weeks, so not even pg boobage.

I am now bracing myself for a return as I think I need to go up a cup or back size as it's getting tight round the ribs and I am encroaching onto double boob territory (very slight overspill, no Pammy Anderson's).

Thing is, I am a bit worried as I don't seem to be getting adequate support - I'm used to bras holding my pups very firmly in place, but now they're more wobbly. I'm really worried about the ligaments breaking and leaving me in sagsville USA... I'm loving my extra size but not loving the non-pertness at all. Sigh. Will a new bra magically cure this dyu think oh wise Hazle? Grin

HazleNutt · 27/03/2013 09:25

janey that's probably the case, opposite here, appetite has disappeared, can barely squeeze an apple in instead of dinner. Not complaining really.

Brave the wobbliness could be just the particular bra - I have some that I can't wear for work, unless I want all male colleagues to break their necks staring at my boobs. Maybe try a fuller cup, with more coverage? And of course, you would get a bit more wobbly when you get bigger.

BraveLilBear · 27/03/2013 09:27

Oh and fancy dress, totally agree - tho last Halloween I made a costume from scratch by ripping holes into an old t-shirt and jeans, adding in contact lenses and making fake skin (dripping off face etc) out of flour and PVA glue, then painting with acrylic paint and fake blood.

It was anti-sewing Grin

BraveLilBear · 27/03/2013 09:29

That's a good point, Hazle. I am so not used to having boobs. May attempt a proper fitting at Debenhams, tho they didn't have a lot in my size range last time so don't have much hope!

HazleNutt · 27/03/2013 10:08

So do we have a little Cavort nephew yet?

Alexandra6 · 27/03/2013 10:35

Hope your sis is doing well cavort and the baby arrives safely soon - unless he's already here? I'm telling my brother this weekend that he will be an uncle for the first time, touch wood Smile

Do you remember I was talking about DH making someone give up their seat for me on the tube even though I'm obvs not showing at all? Well I was on a packed tube this morning and it was baking so felt a bit dizzy - do you think it's ok to get my 'baby on board' badge now even though I'm only 5 weeks?!

HazleNutt · 27/03/2013 10:53

Sure it's ok alex, a lot of women are nauseos and very tired in the first trimester, so might need the seat more than someone obviously showing.

I have the opposite problem now, people jump up, offer me seats, won't allow me to carry anything, generally make a big fuss etc - and I feel fine and honestly don't need any special treatment.

janey1234 · 27/03/2013 11:02

Alex - I'd get it. You can take it off and put it on as you need it. I definitely used mine on occasion before 12 weeks.

And yes, any news cavort - can't believe I forgot to ask!

Alexandra6 · 27/03/2013 11:21

Great I've ordered one - I def don't feel that tired I can't stand and am only ever so slightly dizzy/nauseous now and again, but I just want to take it as easy as I possibly can, and my tube line gets so hot and packed. Have a worrying lack of symptoms at the moment!

janey1234 · 27/03/2013 11:47

That's a symptom! And as I keep saying, my pregnancy so far has been ridiculously symptom free. Thankfully.

Purplemonster · 27/03/2013 11:59

Ha ha I'm laughing at the image of me all dressed up on purple, I DO own one fabulous pair of lavender shoes I bought for a wedding and now can't wear because of my stupid bloody foot but that's pretty much it.

My user name is actually to do with a fabulous children's book called 'Not now Bernard' which IMHO you should all buy for your babies as it is fabulous, some bar steward had already nicked the title as a username so I had to just be the monster who eats Bernard instead Grin

Alexandra6 · 27/03/2013 12:12

You know you're now going to be a monster in Janey's next dream purple? Wink

One of my good friends has that book for her little boy!

janey1234 · 27/03/2013 12:23

I'm glad purple as, to be honest, the eyeshadow really didn't suit you..... Wink

HazleNutt · 27/03/2013 13:00

I got a bit obsessed with the "first outfit" now and frustrated that I can't find anything I really love. I have 3 months to go and most online shops deliver in the matter of days. Should get a grip.

Cavort · 27/03/2013 13:02

No, still no nephew Sad She had been contracting every 4-6 minutes for the last 45 hours but is still only in the latent phase. I just spoke to her and she sounds miserable beyond belief. I think if its the same by tonight she's going to go in and demand pethidine so she can at least get a few hours sleep as she'll be too sleep-deprived to cope with established labour at this rate.

She isn't exactly selling it to me Confused

Oh gawd, that really doesn't sound like much fun Cavort hope he's here soon.

I know what you mean about nice outfits Hazle, I'm not too worried about a 'first outfit' but generally can't seem to find that much I like in the shops, it's all very...samey.
