Morning all! So glad your scan went well pink me and hubby are debating I desperately want it he isn't convinced so we shall see who wins whether to have a sexing scan at 16 weeks due to my impatient ness lol. Plus its only £75 which I think is quite reasonable. Still full of stinking rotten cold ATM and currently laying on the sofa feeling sorry for myself watching the mounds and mounds of housework and washing build up, bleurgh. 7+4 today time is getting slower an slower I'm sure of it lol. Just wondered when you guys tal of having sore boobs how sore would u rate them on a scale of 1-10. 10 being not being able to move our arms without pain lol. Cos other than extremely sore boobs probly like 7 on the scale with a stingy sensation I don't really have any symptoms.....

Hope everyone is enjoying a nice relaxing Sunday :-)

Sal1977 · 03/03/2013 12:45

Afternoon motherships!

Does anyone else around the 8 week mark NOT have any morning sickness or nausea?

racheld33 · 03/03/2013 12:49

Am so jealous of the people without sickness!
Vomitted twice last night but still felt sick all night Envy

Natalieand · 03/03/2013 12:56

sal I am 7+4 -and havent had any sickness, i didnt with dd either but had a scan at 6+4 an had a healthy looking blob and heart beat xx

LittleChickpea · 03/03/2013 13:40

Natalieand with regards your question on boobs. I used to sleep on my front but now sleeping on my side because boobs are too sore. I would say between 5 and 8 depending on time/bed etc.

Livened · 03/03/2013 13:43

Omg, I just got home from church and lunch to find while I was out my DH has tidied the house!! This is unheard of. Obviously now he's seen little peanut he's realised I actually am pregnant and am just putting a brave face on working full time, keeping the house clean and looking after DS!

Right, I'm off for a lie down after the shock ;-)

roxvox · 03/03/2013 13:43

Sal1977 I am at 8+5 and have no symptoms at all apart from heartburn and the occasional cramping. I was having some food aversions, hunger and extreme tiredness but that all seems to have died down. Had the second appointment with my MW just now (who was so lovely) and she said that that's all normal. Everyone is different and some people are fortunate enough to get no symptoms at all. I've heard it before, but hearing it from her made it all seem factual.

She also commented that next week I could have extreme MS so not to count my chickens just yet...

roxvox · 03/03/2013 13:45

natalieand my boobs were up to about a 7, but had dropped to a 2 and are now at about 4. Just sore when my husband gives me one of his bear hugs where he squeezes me tight! Generally fine though. I bought one of those night bras back when I was a 7 and I swear that that is what has helped.

BirdsDoIt · 03/03/2013 13:57

pink, brilliant news about your scan. And it also makes me feel like I shouldn't get so worried about my almost total lack of symptoms - after a bit of spotting on Friday/Saturday I managed to convince myself it was all over and got really upset - ridiculous I know - so it's very nice to hear you're in a similar situation and all is well!

sal I am 9 + 2 and the only nausea I've had has been very mild - and more like intermittent extreme hunger which turns into feeling a bit sick when I haven't eaten for a while.

I keep telling myself that the non-symptom thing is how people get to late pregnancy without realising they're pregnant and end up having a baby in the loo!!!

Umlauf · 03/03/2013 14:20

juniper I actually told my midwives DH and I aren't elated (by accident!) I mixed up the Spanish words for 'first' and 'cousin' and proudly announced that I was having my cousins baby.

Natalieand · 03/03/2013 14:30

Ahh that makes me feel better about everyone else's boobs I went out for dinner last night and leant forwar slightly and they touché the table I could had cried right there and then lol but other than they I seem to be symptom free but tbh I was symptom free with dd too. I didn't Ben no I was pregnant till 8-9 weeks an I had been ttc lol. Maybe that's why it feels this pregnancy is dragging much more xx

Sal1977 · 03/03/2013 14:37

My step sister just found out she was preggers at 12 weeks...how lush would that be?? 2 months less of worrying!!

funkky · 03/03/2013 15:40

Thanks roxvox , rockchick and pinkbuttons.

Yes quite worried about hips now, feels terrible at only 9+ weeks and am already walking with a waddle/ limp. Midwife appointment is at 11 weeks ( a week b4 scan), so will see how it goes and ask her. Already have quite a long list of questions to ask.
Glad your scan went well pinkmoonlight , hopefully lots more good news from scans to come!

Flyer747 · 03/03/2013 16:01

Hi All, just back from my scan also and pleased to say all in place currently 7+3 and a little heart pumping away. So pleased I went its made me relax a tad more! Have a great day all, I'm off to celebrate with someone mini eggs.

CelticPromise · 03/03/2013 16:10

Sal no sickness here either, 8+1. Occasional slight nausea before I've eaten in the morning but hardly noticeable. I never felt sick with DS either.

I have my booking appointment next Sat and scan at 11+3. Time is passing... just doesn't feel like it!

CelticPromise · 03/03/2013 16:10

Good news pink and flyer Smile

Wispa123 · 03/03/2013 16:20

9 weeks today and woke up without my boobs absolutely killing which made a nice change. Had a free flu jab at my first MW appointment on Friday which had knocked my our a bit and appears to have given me a cold! I too am munching on crisps a lot! No massive cravings really though. Waiting for first scan app to come through so still scared it might all go wrong. Reassuring to hear that most of us are experiencing the same sort of things! I def have a pot belly! Searched my wardrobe for old / bigger trousers earlier for work and got some maternity jeans the other day....so comfy, even if I'm not showing yet! Fingers crossed everyone has a good week coming up. I wonder if KP are experiencing a huge surge in sales of hula hoops!? haha!

Haylebop12 · 03/03/2013 17:19

Evening ladies.

Can't say I'm experiencing much boob problems but the sickness is taking over literally. Was discharged Thursday afternoon but since yday morning I'm throwing up again so tablets aren't working. Back to docs in the morning in guessing for admission no.3.

Sorry for the rant I'm just super fed up and don't even know if the bean is still going strong. I'm really not liking all this just now but I know deep down its what we all want so just gotta deal with it!

OrangeBlossom2 · 03/03/2013 17:42

Great news pink, really good to read a good story after some worry.

On the boobs front, mine were really painful in about week 4 whenever I rolled over, brushed them with my arm or had a cuddle. Now they are only bad if you head-but and press them which my goddaughter decided to do this weekend (she is only 10 months, I forgive her!) they seem to have stopped growing this week too, which is good as I think any bigger and I might topple over. I think they stopped hurting when the sick feeling started.

Thanks to those who have said they have also had spotting. It is reassuring to know that it is not just me. I haven't had any more since, so I think it is fine. I still think I won't stop worrying all the time until we pass the 12 week mark and have the scan though.

OrangeBlossom2 · 03/03/2013 17:43

Sorry you seem to be having such a rubbish time of it haylebop.

moonblues · 03/03/2013 18:02

So sorry the vomiting's back Haylebop. Hope you manage to keep some fluids down tonight and manage to stay out of hospital.
I'm very jealous of you ladies who don't have morning sickness. I don't remember it being this bad with my other 2, but maybe you just forget the rubbish bits... 7+5 here and time seems to be moving very slowly...

Sanjifair · 03/03/2013 19:24

That's rough Haylebop. Hope you feel better soon, and that you get a scan.

notsoold · 03/03/2013 19:36

Congratulations pink and flyer !!!!!!

Hayle....take care of yourself..xxx

Hello to everyone else....I am not feeling too great ( feels like a cold) so I am going to bed....

Xxxx

TheFalconsmistress · 03/03/2013 19:49

Is anyone starting to think of names?

I know its early but im convinced im having a girl I was sure at this point I was having a boy with Ds. I love the name Willow, comes from me being a buffy the vampire slayer fan in my youth. Told my mum and she didn't like it being scottish she was convinced she would be forever called willie Sad

Umlauf · 03/03/2013 19:52

Yep! If tinyface is a boy he will be Albert (Bertie) and if a girl, probably Edie (short for Edith) but not 100% on girls names yet. For this reason hoping for a boy!!
