Here you go. New thread...number 3!

Good morning all. Just checking in on the new thread. Am posting from my bed. Only just woke up, lovely DH must be up with DS. Smile

Sephy I'm booking at a far away hospital too so I can attend their high risk clinic and foetal medicine (DS was premature and growth restricted). If we have problems and need the high level NICU I hope to deliver there but if all is well I intend to transfer closer to home or choose a home birth. Don't know if that's an option for you? Might be worth having a look at your local options anyway?

HotSoupDumpling · 02/03/2013 09:55

Happy New Thread everyone!

Glad you feel better pink, sending good vibes over.

At 3am this morning I realised I craved:

  • hot salty fries/chips
  • gazpacho
  • a roast potato smothered in gravy.
roofio87 · 02/03/2013 09:56

woah, a lot had gone on on here already this morning! just marking my place, nothing to report from here!!
hope you're all keeping well ladies x

Flyer747 · 02/03/2013 09:57

Great news pink, glad you are feeling much more positive. I hope all goes well tomorrow at the scan

Iheartcrunchiebars · 02/03/2013 09:59

Mmmm roast potatoes.

Does anyone else crave textures. I want crunchy foods likes crisps, crackers etc.

But anything chewy makes me feel sick like neat eugh.

Good morning everyone, and thanks for the new thread, Crunchie

Away with friends in dartmoor this weekend, just trying to muster the energy to go for a walk.

Falcon it's mad how those crappy symptoms are so reassuring, aren't they. Try not to worry - I think it's pretty normal for some to go around this time. Just think, you're so close to the second trimester!

orange hope you're ok too. I've still got a lot of brown spotting and I know it can be worrying but remember that brown is old blood.

Flyer look forward to hearing about your scan, how exciting. And you too, pink - that's great that bleeding had stopped,

Really hope everyone else is doing well- have lovely weekends all

Ps is anyone clever enough to do a stats thread???

Umlauf · 02/03/2013 10:09

Morning everyone! Just checking in..

hotsoup that's weird I also have been craving gazpacho! And marmite. Other than that no real cravings. Went to do the supermarket shop with DH yesterday and felt too queasy around all the food.

Sal1977 · 02/03/2013 10:10

Pinksky - where on Dartmoor are you visiting? I live in Plymouth so only a couple of miles away and lived in Tavistock for 11 years before that! X

PseudoBadger · 02/03/2013 10:14

My current craving is hotdog sausages (hot) in a roll with ketchup. I could do with a gherkin too. There's definitely something about sour/sweet

34PinkLadyApple · 02/03/2013 10:24

Morning ladies. Marking my place on lovely new thread. moonlight and falcon im 9.5 weeks and my only real symptom of achey boobs has almost gone. Only thing i have now is random headaches, sniffles and womb seems to be hard im not constantly poking and feeling it honest.

For those with spotting, no experience personally but plenty of friends who had it and came out the other end with pefect kids.

pinksky · 02/03/2013 10:27

We're in chagford, Sal. You've got some amazing countryside near you, so lucky Smile

TheFalconsmistress · 02/03/2013 10:36

Thank you 34pinkladyapple I have a hard womb too never had sore boobs just sickness which is gone . I have sniffles too glad its fairly normal for things to settle about now xxxx

roxvox · 02/03/2013 10:46

34pinkladyapple and falconsmistress, you've both calmed me down from a slightly worried state! I'm at 8+4 and my symptoms seem to have eased a lot. Not that I really had any to start with to be honest. Glad it's not just me! I have noticed that I'm needing to blow my nose more than usual though...

hotsoupdumpling your very early morning cravings made me laugh! Why is it always something that would take forever to prepare or you'd have to go and buy!

pseudobadger hotdogs sound good right about now!

Feelinghungry · 02/03/2013 10:48

Marking my spot too. I am sure when I last posted on this the last thread wasn't even half way through. Amazing how chatty people are! Sorry to read about the sad news and people's worries.

I am a little over 6 weeks and tempted by an early scan too Flyer. I really do not feel preggers apart from sore boobs!!! Although the thought of some hula hoops is rather appealing. Not sure I can hold out till 12 weeks to see things. Let us know how it goes Flyer. How many weeks are you?

Sal1977 · 02/03/2013 11:14

Dear God.
I. NEED. HOTDOGS.
That is all.

Haylebop12 · 02/03/2013 11:17

All your cravings are making me jealous. Anti sickness decided not to work this morning and I've just seen my cooked breakfast again.

Sick of feeling sick.

cuillereasoupe · 02/03/2013 11:38

Yeah I've been feeling severely hungover for a week now. Enough already.

cazboldy · 02/03/2013 11:41

Poor Hayle Sad xx

have been there before when i had my dd's - you do forget what it feels like to not feel sick!

I have a splitting headache this morning - i do wonder if it's because i haven't been drinking enough, but i just can't fancy anything..... water tastes funny, but with juice makes me gag, tea/milk - yuk! have the odd cup of lemon and ginger, but am even starting to go off that. Have bought some flavoured water, and am trying that atm....

are we allowed paracetamol?..... I know it used to be all that was allowed, but sure I heard somewhere a while ago that they don't even recommend that now!

roofio87 · 02/03/2013 11:43

my gp said paracetemol was fine!!

Sparkeleigh · 02/03/2013 11:46

Morning everyone. roxvox and iheartcrunchies I'm the same with textures, I can eat crunchy stuff all day but when I'm feeling a bit sick I'm having to force down anything soft. I have a horrible sinus cold though so I can't taste anything much at the minute.

I'm finding it quite hard to manage to get my 5 a day, 2 dairy a day and 2 fish potions a week. I'm munching on carrot and pepper sticks and fruit during the day but does anyone have any good tips to add variety? I think I'm going to be fed up of the sight of carrots soon!

I got the letter for my midwife appointment and scan yesterday. The midwife appt is week 10 for me but according to the letter my scan and date was early last week Hmm I'm pretty sure they typed Feb instead of March but I've got to wait till Mon to ring them.

Wow, sorry for the essay!

cazboldy · 02/03/2013 11:48

thanks roofio x Smile

walnut300 · 02/03/2013 12:10

morning all.

I hope u are all good. I went for an early scan yesterday. 7 weeks and EDD is 19th October. we heard a strong heartbeat... amazing!

good luck with everyone else who is having early scans.

Flyer747 · 02/03/2013 12:12

Feelinghungry, I'm 7 weeks and surely should have some symptoms now so only thing to do to calm me down/reassure is a early scan.

moonblues · 02/03/2013 12:26

Rock It is our first so me and OH are coming up with cheesy ideas to announce to both sets of grandparents. Have thought about wrapping up a babygro that says "I love my grandma" or something of the sort. Too corny??
