natalieand, feminist, soupqueen and tarlia, I'm another 3 April scan date, 10.20am. Those ultrasounds will be busy! I'm also off work that week as we are just buying our first home and will need to decorate and furnish it. Busy times. And happy mothers day all - I'm just heading home from my parents, we told my aunt and uncle and Nana, they were super excited, got promised 2 suitcases of baby clothes from when my cousin was a baby - she's now 20. And my nana is going to start knitting.

Natalieand · 10/03/2013 19:38

Ahh I'm glad I have scan date buddies I don't feel so lonely lol how far will u e when u have your scans ill be exactly 12 weeks!

Just tucked dd up hopefully for the night poor little girlie is covered in chicken pox she just doesn't no what to do with herself

Having my GTT tommorow at 9am and can't drink after 9pm tonight which of course means I'm extra thirsty cos I no I can't have it soon lol. They are going to test my chicken pox immunity too so hopefully that comes back with good news

Did n e one else do n e thing nice today? Xx

cazboldy · 10/03/2013 19:41

I am struggling to drink too Sad

Natalieand I was told i was allowed small sips of water when i had mine last week..... all the time - even during the test they left me with some water!

Livened · 10/03/2013 19:43

Oooh I want a scan date buddy!!

Anyone else Friday 5th? Will be 13 weeks by then, so am really glad I had the early scan as I'd be literally climbing the walls waiting until then to know all was ok in there...

Had a lovely mothers day - only my second one but we had such a lovely family day. Back to reality tomorrow though :-(

X

Natalieand · 10/03/2013 19:53

caz how long did it take to get results of your GTT?

PseudoBadger · 10/03/2013 19:58

I'm Saturday the 6th :)

JellyCurls · 10/03/2013 20:17

My scans on Wednesday, nervous, excited and scared

cazboldy · 10/03/2013 20:21

Blush Natalie - my test was tuesday - and i should have rung for the result on friday - but i forgot!!

Pannacotta2013 · 10/03/2013 20:41

natalieand I'll be exactly 13 weeks on Wed 3 April, scan date. I've not had any scans so far so it has (and will be) a long wait, but I've still got pg symptoms so I'm not too worried.

Natalieand · 10/03/2013 21:00

Last drink drunk now I have to drink 410ml of lucozade at 7am talk about a wake me up lol

Tarlia · 10/03/2013 21:20

Count yourself lucky it's lucozade, here it's a disgusting sugar syrup thing which you can add lemon juice to... I didnt dear either time last time as was petrified it'd taste worse and plus more drops to drink haha. I really don't want to do it but GP says I have to sob. We were def allowed small sips of water too, I think up to half a cup.

Good luck, jelly! Look forward to hearing your good news :)

Is anyone else's MS making them light and sound sensitive, mine is which I'm finding really strange. It comes and goes, but this afternoon has been awful.

Natalieand · 10/03/2013 21:23

tarlia they also sent me some white powder to dissolve in hot water the night before the test then refrigerate and drink in the morning but it says in the letter u can alternatively drink 410ml of original sparkling lucozade and I spoke to the midwife she said dont drink the powder it will make u vomit lol

Tbh ATM my main concern is getting the all clear on the chicken pox test xx

Hubby just treated me to some new clothes off of new look online I did say there isn't much point as they won't fit for long but as he says u won't be pregnant forever and one item is a jacket and one a cardigan so I can wear them just not do them up xxx

cazboldy · 10/03/2013 21:27

I had to get there, have a blood test, THEN drink 500ml of (flat) lucozade (which I was dreading, but wasn't as bad as I thought!) then have another blood test 1 hour later - and another an hour after that. And I wasn't allowed to leave the doctor's surgery - apparently it's important you stay relatively still Hmm

Natalieand · 10/03/2013 21:32

Oh it's funy how they do it all so differently isn't it. Here I am not allowed to eat/drink after 9pm then at 7am I have to drink 410ml of lucozade and then bloods taken at 9am and that's it done and dusted. Luckily for me my midwife is coming to my house to do it or id have to cancel cos of dd chicken pox xx

Rockchick1984 · 10/03/2013 21:44

I don't need a GTT but am now really craving Lucozade!!!

SeriousStuff · 10/03/2013 22:02

Tarlia I've been having moments of sensitivity to sound when I've had to turn the TV down or the radio down in the car, and I find bright daylight gives me a headache when I take the dog for a walk!

Rockchick1984 me too! I'd love an orange Lucozade right now. Also, I'm finding it hard to drink enough too. The thought of drinking water makes me gag so I'm having to wait for a specific drink craving.

Smitten1981 · 10/03/2013 22:20

I have to have a GTT but not till July. Was told to starve from 8pm the night before then had to be at the hospital for 8:15 am for a blood test, then have a drink of glucose then sit for 2 hours and not move, then have another test. Sounds SO boring. Really not looking forward to it at all!

pinkbuttons · 10/03/2013 22:53

Happy mothers day everyone. Thoroughly spoilt here, hope youve all had a lovely day.
Similar to alot of you about not being able to drink much and tonight had huge craving for a glass of milk. I havent drank milk since I was about 4 and had to have it at school, it was always warm and put me off for life until now...
Ive got an extra scan on Tuesday because of the research trial ive signed up to do and then my 12 week (or 11 week) scan on the 18th Smile feeling very lucky and excited and nervous for Tuesday, but if all is well am hoping Ill relax for the next one.
Hope everyone whos feeling rubbish is better tonight. were getting there ladies, slowly but surely!

Sal1977 · 10/03/2013 23:22

Talking of drinks, we went to a friends house for dinner and she's a trainee midwife and had her beady eye on me as she knows we are/wereTTC. The game is to outfox her for as long as possible so I had half a glass of champagne.....my god it was bloody lush and I could've done half the bottle!!!! I think it threw her off the scent a bit! Hehe

pinksky · 11/03/2013 07:05

Topslou if you're around just wanted to wish you all the very best for your scan today - I have had my fx for you this weekend X
