29/11!! When will you phone the clinic?

SweetieTime · 24/04/2013 11:51

I have to take 2 tests. 1 Saturday and 1 Monday. Then ring Monday between 1.30 & 2. very specific instructionsConfused
I am not sure what happens after that, not sure if they do an early scan or just tell me to go to my gp. Will see what they say when I ring.

how you feeling now?

keepitgoing · 24/04/2013 12:09

But I thought you needed more drugs before then. They are silly... And they are v late poas! I think they'll give you a scan in two weeks or so, as they need data to report clinical pregnancies to the hfea, and they'll need to report how many babies too!

Feel like crap. Have to force myself to eat, but luckily once I start it's OK. Bloating's better, and boobs less sore.

In other news I have discovered a litter of kittens on our balcony. Left some milk for the mum. What should I do?

keepitgoing · 24/04/2013 12:19

How are you feeling? Sinking in yet? How about dh?

SweetieTime · 24/04/2013 12:43

i rang them this morning to get more drugs, I think I messed up how many I took when we were on holiday. I only spoke to the receptionist. I am not sure it has sunk in for either of us yet. I cannot say we are very excited. I am almost expecting the worst. I think it has been so difficult getting to this point it has taken the glow off the outcome a bit. Hopefully when we are a bit further along we may start to relax who am I kidding I am sure you know where I am coming from

keepitgoing · 24/04/2013 12:51

Sure do. We allowed ourselves to feel happy implantation could occur, I think at first. Major step. Then after five week scan where we saw the sac I think dh was more believing, but he's quite scientific so always quoting m/c rates for where we are... After the 7+4 scan last week is when I've started to think about it more in a real way, and to feel pregnant.

Actually I think one of our main emotions has been relief. We can do it, and hopefully we can not think about ttc and all that crap for at least 18 months.

I know if I drag myself out of bed I'd feel better, but just can't. Dh back on Sunday...

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 24/04/2013 20:37

Wow ladies, it is easy for us to forget sometimes that getting the BFP is not the end of the story, there is still a bit for you to do.

I have nothing new to report for you, I have tried my best to over do it today but booby is still staying put. I did have a lovely day though. Shopping this morning, chose a new pair of prescription sun glasses, got a new scarf and presents for the boys from booby. Oh and I think my cold has well and truly broken, snotting and sneezing all afternoon as well as a nap Blush though I have to say my pelvic floor is getting a good work out, I need to squeeze for dear life so I don't pee with every sneeze Blush Grin

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 24/04/2013 22:03

Keep I completely forgot, it was interview day today for Mr K, what's news?

Oh boo, good trying though. Hopefully today...

sparks buy them asap on credit, after all you don't have long to wear them. Sorry you're so tired, but not long to go now! I am assuming I won't need new clothes till I go home - 22 weeks. Realistic? Can just undo buttons/wear loose things if needed?

MrK said it went 'OK', thanks boo. We will find out within a month, but hopefully sooner. Fingers crossed - he's been so nervous - baby on the way, neither of us with a job for then, but the good thing about being a doctor is you can always locum, which is lucrative...

Right, am going swimming, it's the only thing that makes me feel better!

Boo your shopping day yesterday sounds lovely, shame booby is staying put but just think the duck plug is a good sign for possible movement. How is the cold? Any thing else to report today?

Sparks I wear a lot of dresses and tunics with tights or leggings so am hoping these will keep me going for a few months at least. Where do you recommend for maternity tights and leggings?
So what other purchases are you planning? can you do us some links?

Keep how are you feeling today? still a bit rough? how many weeks were you when you started to feel off it?

I did a first response test this morning, it expired Jan 2013, so I thought why not. The result line was stronger than the control unless I had them the wrong way around so there is really no getting away from it is there that it is obviously twins Grin

keepitgoing · 25/04/2013 11:28

Oh damn I don't think I'll find any mat clothes to fit here, as Thai people are tiny. Maybe just maxi dresses will have to do...

Good news on the pee stick sweetie. Gosh, twins would be amazing, bogof!!

I only really started feeling sicky about 7.5 weeks, and stress I have not been too bad, like poor sparks. It's really the thought of food which is awful, I'd not eat if I could.

Are you going to tell any family early sweetie? I can't remember if they knew about the whole palaver ivf thing.

RubberBullets · 25/04/2013 11:34

Sweetie I'm so glad you are having twins so therefore I must only be having 1

Boo did you buy any pepper on your trip yesterday?

Keep fingers crossed that MrK hears soon, the waiting isn't any fun.

Well I was sick last night, that's twice so far and I'm 9+1.

SweetieTime · 25/04/2013 11:40

Bullets is there a possibility you may be on for twins? Do you feel more sickly in the evening?

Keep we have never kept our treatment a secret, if people have asked we have told them. We have been really open about both our own IVF and this time with DE. I am really close to my Mum so she knows and DH has told his sister, who cried her eyes out. We are in a slightly different position as DHs family gave us the money to pay for the treatment so we obviously have to tell them how their investment is doing Wink We will tell them and other close family after the weekend but we have told everyone so far not to say anything until we have had our scans.

RubberBullets · 25/04/2013 11:49

I've felt sick 3 times and been sick twice so can't really say if evenings are worse. Last time it was all day, every day for 9 weeks so this is new territory for me :) Last time I was told that it could be twins due the amount of puking I was doing but there was just the 1 in there.

We've been talking about names as last time DH picked the letter N and we thought of names based on that. He says it is my turn this time and girls names are easier for us to agree on than boys. I like Stephen, he said no. I like Ashley, he said no :( He did like Morwenna when I suggested it though :)

keepitgoing · 25/04/2013 13:13

Just the one in here!

keepitgoing · 25/04/2013 13:15

We have lots of girl names but NO boy names! Plenty of time though.

RubberBullets · 25/04/2013 13:33

There is a distinct lack of Boo on here today, is she having a baby or just a life? :o

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 25/04/2013 14:06

Sorry to disappoint, I'm just having life today :)

Pepper, I can't believe I forgot pepper! That's why I'm still pregnant thanks for the reminder Rubber, any news on your booking in yet?

Keep I needed mat clothes much earlier than 20 weeks, but I am on my third so I did show much earlier. I am the other way with names, I have a very long list of boy names but a very short list of girl names.

Still have my cold, not as bad as yesterday but bad enough to make me grumpy, feeling lots of lovely low down pressure and BH's but nothing progressing yet. I had a lovely friend come round this morning with a cottage pie for my freezer :)

keepitgoing · 25/04/2013 16:18

But when did you need them for your first, boo?

Ooh Yum, cottage pie, what a nice friend!

Now, come on booby, enough suspense.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 25/04/2013 16:31

I think I was in them with a few very stretchy clothes by 15/16 weeks.

She is lovely, said when I give her the dish back she will re fill it for me :)

keepitgoing · 25/04/2013 16:34

Sigh. May need to rethink.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 25/04/2013 16:44

Yes but I am on my third and any tummy muscles I had gave up half way through my pg with toddly boo you never know how you will do, just have some stretchy stuff ready, it does creep up on you, you don't wake up with a bump!
