Hi everyone.

Delighted to hear of all the successful scans, and that you have a scan date flo!

Not such good news for me though, and it's time for me to say goodbye. I started bleeding lightly last night, but it was bright red, so I went to the EPU today and had a scan. They have confirmed an mmc - the pregnancy failed at around 8 weeks (my 12 week scan was to have been this Thursday. I am feeling very grateful for my little 3yo DS, he has really cheered me up on this sad day.

Good luck to you all going forward and I wish you lots of happy and healthy babies come September.

andadietcoke · 04/03/2013 19:18

Oh hackneybird I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you have a little one to make you smile and hopefully help you get through the next few days a little bit more easily, and that the next steps are gentle and manageable. Thinking of you xxx

Oh Hackney
I'm so very sorry. So horrid for you. Cuddle your DS and breathe in every bit of him. I hope you start to feel better one day and manage to keep your chin up. So cruel to get so far. Big enormous hugs xxxx

Oh no hackney, so sorry to hear your news, I had the same thing in November so massive hugs. Get lots of rest and don't push yourself to do too much too soon big hugs Thanks

Girra - it seems like so long ago we were on that thread waiting for our positive tests. I should be the 12th but they've put off my scan until next weds, from memory we finally got our positives about the same time, so fingers crossed I'll get the same news as you!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 04/03/2013 20:28

Hackneybird - I'm so sorry to hear your news. Life can be very cruel sometimes, I hope you you get lots of support during this time and that you have better news in a few months time.

purplebynature - great to have a due-date-buddy. Did you realise it'll be Friday 13th! I'm hoping it'll be auspicious rather than a bad omen! :)

Serg · 04/03/2013 20:41

Today I had to stop off at the public toilets between home visits to vomit. Classy bird.

Keepsmilingsunshine · 04/03/2013 21:56

So sorry Hackney, I hope you're being well looked after Thanks.

I have some positive scan news to report, 1 little bouncing bundle also due on the 13th... looks like its a very popular date!

When is the 2nd trimester, week 13 or 14? You seem to get different dates on different sites.

Creamtea1 · 04/03/2013 22:14

Re bmi's - I was 20.6 pre preg, and 21 at booking in, now 22.1 ! and I know that's normal range but they (the medical people) are still going on about weight to me as well so it looks like they now do it to everyone. I've had 3 appts so far between midwife and hosp and been weighed at all 3.

Is anyone else getting crampy pelvic pains? Got them last week during scan so presuming everything ok but just wondering if anyone else getting them too? Nothing major but just a gentle aching - kind of went away for several weeks but now back again. Maybe just stretching?

So sorry Hackney, was my biggest fear. Hope you're ok.
