Last one nearly full so thought I would start a new one - new thread, new trimester!

Actually, speaking of hormonal and hypersensitive, has anyone had to stop reading certain books to their dc for this reason. I made the mistake of getting Dogger out the library again. It's not even a sad book but the sister' kindness always makes me sob!

fl0b0t · 06/03/2013 09:11

Oops first Sept thread disagreement. I missed it by going to bed at 9, and not getting up til 9.

I have bought my first baby purchase- entireley pointless and expensive but I've been looking at these gorgeous bunny felted booties (age 1-2) in the window of a gorgeous hippy shop in Oxford for weeks now....

Derpess · 06/03/2013 09:15

I am taking it easy, my DH is working from home and is waiting on me hand and foot! His love and support is making me cry so I definitely wouldn't cope with the kindness you describe in children's stories!
Reminds me of how much I have to learn, the twins are DC1&2 and I've never heard of Dogger! I expect this will soon change :)

JammyTummy · 06/03/2013 09:16

Morning all!

Our nursery furniture arrives today! We thought we were being super organised until we both completely failed to clear the room

kipsonline · 06/03/2013 09:18

There is a wonderful not-for- profit city farm in nottingham run entirely by people with learning disabilities...a real life affirming place.

JammyTummy · 06/03/2013 09:21

... Out, so it will be arriving and sitting in boxes for a little while.

Angel Sounds Doppler due today too- will report on how it goes. It was £19 from amazon, and if it lives up to its reviews in going to be very impressed!

I've not really fallen in love with many baby bits so far, apart from completely irrationally with a ridiculously overpriced sheepskin teddy at John Lewis. It's basically a teddy shaped piece of fur and when I saw it I felt like I really really had to own it. DH thought I was mad and frog marched me out... sneakily wondering when to go back to JL for the furry teddy...

Got my nt results back and we have 1:8824. Really really relieved by that.

Off to eat a hot cross bun... Nom nom nom

Tdrizzy · 06/03/2013 09:25

Hello, does anyone mind if I join this thread? I'm new to mums net due in sept, scan on 12th march and extremely nervous!!

kipsonline · 06/03/2013 09:25

ION I must have done something really bad in a former life as my FIL pulled his back on mon so my unsupportive anti-DC3 PsIL ARE STILL HERE. Arghhhh. Still refused to congratulate us or discuss pg, only justification for behaviour provided so far is 'its not what we expected, or a good idea in our opinion ' Again, WTF?! Never before have I been so desparate for anyone to leave, I am basically staying out of their way so that I don't say anything I regret....

Readytosettle · 06/03/2013 09:29

Anyone else suffering from acid reflux? A quick google has confirmed that's what's been keeping me up all night....

kipsonline · 06/03/2013 09:30

Talking of baby purchases, I came home from a friend's house yesterday with a ride on rocking ladybird that was headed for a charity shop.... Supposed to be in loft waiting for summer but DS 1 and 2 are 'trying it out for the baby' so I'm sure it'll never make it up there....ah, well..,

JammyTummy · 06/03/2013 09:31

Lolololol kips! I'm so sorry, definitely not laughing at you but can just completely understand how you feel- reminds me of me grumping around in a similar situation. You truly have the patience of a saint! I wish I could whack her across the head for you.

fl0b0t · 06/03/2013 10:04

tDizzy welcome! We are scan buddies! :)

Ok let's get the thread back on track - never mind the poo crown I want the poo master of the universe!! I have just taken 40 minutes to bear down and breathe out a poo of EPIC proportions!! it really was a practise run...I don't think I can walk properly now Shock

OP posts:
fl0b0t · 06/03/2013 10:37

creamtea do you feel all weird and empty now? :)

Kilkers · 06/03/2013 10:54

Can I be joint master with you creamtea? I must have done the biggest turd known to womankind yesterday in the loos at work. IT WOULDN'T FLUSH! I then realised it had been five days since my last poo so that explains it I guess.

Shock
Creamtea1 · 06/03/2013 11:02

Ha ha klikers ! Luckily mine flushed!
I feel starving now like my stomach is empty, will have to have a mega lunch :) I knew it would be bad as haven't been drinking enough and lots of potatoes and things the last week.
flo how's the sickness this week? Touch wood I have felt a lot better - but was never suffering as much as you

Eeeknumber3 · 06/03/2013 11:56

Aggghhhh, got back from school run and nodded off on sofa, whilst telling myself, ooo just 5 minutes, supposed to be housework day, woken up by postman, who stared at my dribbly, crumpled face!
Hope you get some rest derpess, just for clarification binary, the only reason we came to our decision is that I myself am disabled, so struggle sometimes. I hope that I do contribute to society! For me, it wouldn't be right for my dc's either, if it were our first, I would have felt differently.
kips feel for you, there is some opposition to our dc3, just because it is number 3 and only two is normal and socially acceptable! Can you not spit in their tea?! Mwahahahaha

Eeeknumber3 · 06/03/2013 12:03

Ha ha ha jammy that made me laugh, I think I have just found it:
www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-sheepskin-teddy-bear/p231725591
I rather neeeeed one too, hmmmm, I have some John Lewis vouchers...what have you started!?!

Eeeknumber3 · 06/03/2013 12:05

And also jammy it does come with a 'free' presentation box, which adds to the value x

Tdrizzy · 06/03/2013 12:12

Omg fl0b0t I know exactly what you mean about baby brain, this is my first pregnancy and nothing could have prepared me for the fact that I would literally become half a person!! When I'm not physically asleep my brain is!! And on the subject of constipation laydees I totally understand your pain :-(

Tdrizzy · 06/03/2013 12:22

P.s fl0b0t how sick are you at the mo?

BinarySolo · 06/03/2013 12:27

Eeek, you don't have to explain your decision to me. I'm not judging anyone's choice to have further tests or even what they then do with that knowledge. I totally see that everyones situation is different. If I came across as judgey then I apologise.

My problem was with the comment about being of use to society. When dh and I discussed screening we agreed that things have moved on so far from the days of asylums etc and that there are far more opportunities for disabled people than there was in the past. In many way I find the use to society comment a bit archaic.

BinarySolo · 06/03/2013 12:35

Creamtea and kilkers you are both poo amateurs. Grin

I can consistently gaze into the toilet and think 'Gillian McKeith would be proud of that one!'

Plenty of plums is the key to my success! Wink

RunningBear78 · 06/03/2013 12:45

Its aliiiiivveee! Scan yesterday went well, real wriggler, much arm waving and spinning around. EDD spot on, measured 5.84mm. NT was 2.1 ... not quite sure what to make of that, just waiting for results I guess and take it from there. Hospital staff were super.

I'll add myself to the stats list if I can find the link again.

As a present to myself/pip I bought a cute moses basket for £1.99 in the local charity shop. Other than that have promised not to buy a single thing until the summer, I don't think DH is convinced it'll survive. A good friend lost hers just after birth which has left him quite worried. rosie i'll be fighting for you for stuff on ebay/freecycle/gumtree! I'm already addicted to buying maternity clothes at auction :)
