Last one nearly full so thought I would start a new one - new thread, new trimester!

OP posts:

Is anyone else not entirely back to normal in how much, er, 'hide the sausage' you're having with DP/DH? A few nights ago we did for the first time in WEEKS and it was really good except that I was, er, sated first and I think I may have even sort of fallen asleep for a moment, but was woken up by him, er, twitching his willy. I said 'that was nice' he said 'but I'm not finished yet!' And I sort of said well I am so tough shit! Just successfully did a quickie this morning while DS downstairs playing. How the hell did we ever do it enough to conceive?!?!

Serg · 03/03/2013 09:01

Hi all,

I've just found this thread / registered today!

I'm 11+1 and am showing a little alread, eek! Had a pretty dreadful morning, been up since 6am being sick (I've been lucky with sickness) but have kind of pulled myself together to have four slices of toast with loads of butter and jam.....perhaps little bump isn't all baby, lol.

My scan is 15th. I've off to read the rest of the thread and be lovely to have somewhere that we can all grow together (literally)

jennimoo · 03/03/2013 09:04

Lexy - nothing happening here in the bedroom department. Sickness, indigestion, knackered ness and a toddler mean not really in the mood at the mo!

Wincher · 03/03/2013 09:34

Sainsburys does a low alcohol lager (one big bottle is 0.25 units) which is really tasty. Am going to stock up next time I go!

kimjayne · 03/03/2013 09:42

I read in one of my apps this morning that by around week 15 our labido will be back on track! I actually read that fact out loud to my dh and he made no comment! ... Not sure if that's a good or bad sign. I can't persnoally imagine he would want any hanky panky with me recently as I've been so vommy, hot and knackered! Can't see it being a turn on!

Dorita75 · 03/03/2013 09:51

I've tried a few no alcohol lagers pre pregnancy as I was having migraines so cut it out. One called krombucher is good and marks&spencer do a good one too.

No nookie here due to sickness etc...at the moment. I'll be honest, I know it's silly but I'm worried something will happen to baby, I know this is stupid but I think we'll stick to other things for now Wink

Would someone mind reposting the stats link please so I can add myself? Thanks.

Dorita75 · 03/03/2013 09:53

The baby, not baby. I'm not one of those odd people who refers to it like that Grin !

Whoever starts the next thread can you pop the link in the first message. Can't believe this ones nearly full again!

frogchops · 03/03/2013 10:03

No deeds done here either! Blush Not since my bfp which is nearly 3 months. I do feel bad for DP but I know he'd worry about baby unecessarily and I just don't feel like it.
Serg! Welcome, I'm excited you're here, I'm 11+1 today too with a scan on 15th!! I have a scan buddy, wooooo! This lot will be pleased as I've been harping on about it for weeks! Lol.

Readytosettle · 03/03/2013 10:15

We were fairly frisky on hols, but I've been so knackered since we got back that I've basically been asleep as soon as I walk in the door each nite. This morn was the first time I've felt up for it in 2 weeks, but MIL is staying and was moving around outside our bedroom....hoping that we'll manage some action this avo (if she ever gets the hint & leaves) tho ;-)

Readytosettle · 03/03/2013 10:16

P.s. am officially on 10 day countdown to my scan now! :-)

PurplePoppySeed · 03/03/2013 10:22

Oh Yey me too, still seems like ages!

Manoodledo · 03/03/2013 10:24

I can't believe that people have gotten away with no sex for so long. DH gets so ridiculously grumpy if he has to go more than a few days without that it's seriously not worth it. There have been a few grumbles about my 'lack of enthusiasm' though Angry!

Thanks for the tips about alcohol free beer. Hadn't actually thought of that. I'm not usually much of a beer drinker, but I suddenly just really wanted some. I find it so funny how specific (and urgent) your food wants become when pregnant. Something random suddenly pops into your head and you just have to have it.

Serg · 03/03/2013 10:25

Frogchops, that's great!
We had one at 4 weeks (suspected ectopic) and 9 weeks (I was in a car crash) so been a stressful 1st tri!
So glad I've found this, I'm going on and on and on about pregnancy and scans and babies that even my OH who is super excited is beginnning to get a bit glazed eyes when I start.

HettySunshine · 03/03/2013 10:34

My scan is TOMORROW! I can't wait. I just hope thee actually is a baby in there and I don't have to hand back my exemption card on the way out. My appointment is at 3.40. I don't think it will a productive day at work. Who else is tomorrow? I know there are a few of us but can't remember who. Wink

Sorry you still have a while to wait froggy and serg. I hope the time goes quickly for you. Smile

Babyboo79 · 03/03/2013 11:01

Just back from a week in the sun and non-alcoholic beer was my saviour, they actually sold it in all restaurants which is better than over here. I was gutted to have to pass up the red wine, aioli, Parma ham, chorizo and soft cheeses though Sad. I can see a little picnic hamper forming for my hospital bag!

On the nookie front, my libido had actually increased now the nausea has passed. Although each time I get a new symptom e.g. KNUF, I avoid til I get used to it.

We've only been married for 3 months so DH keeps referring to how we're supposed to be 'at it like rabbits'....no pressure then!

Anyway, lovely to hear about everyone's scan news, ours is Tuesday at 8am when I will be 12+2. Can't wait!
(Sorry for the monologue)

frogchops · 03/03/2013 11:18

Am jealous of everyone with holidays...I'd love some sun.
Baby I've just looked up chorizo and related things and it seems they're ok, too late cos I've eaten it, but still I feel better now!
I am still wondering about cheesecake though, the one I passed on said 'homemade' so I wondered how it would be made. Wish I'd just had it now!
I'm kinda glad my DP isn't so mad on sex at the mo, altho I did have a dream that we were at it in his car. BEST dream EVER! Lol.
Am contemplating making cakes today to make up for lack of cheesecake.

Girraferama · 03/03/2013 11:27

Hetty i am! There was one other too... mynameis?

Mine is at 1.50pm. I'm going to work first so hopefully the morning will fly by..I've wished away my beloved weekend as I just want it to be here now!!
Really excited but slightly scared.

Re alcohol-free alcohol - if you are a red wine drinker I found 'Eisberg' in Morrison's - alcohol free but actually tastes like wine! Funnily enough I've not wanted it since about 7 weeks tho! They do a white too but haven't tried it. Don't go for Sorelle or any of the others - gross!

Re doing-the-deed, I've been totally not up for it. DH stopped taking the hint a couple of weeks ago so I reluctantly gave in. We've done it a couple of times and I've enjoyed it (once he's got me in the mood) and all has been fine.

FrootLoops · 03/03/2013 11:58

Hi everyone

I have been keeping up with this thread but not really posting because I feel really anxious about this pregnancy and am finding it hard to accept I have a baby in there.

My scan is tomorrow at 1.50 too so I am letting myself get really excited now.

No sex here either. I have wanton intentions early evening but by the time the children are in bed I am almost asleep too.

slowblonde · 03/03/2013 12:09

Have finally got round to adding myself to the stats list.
Have been lurking for some time so really need to make the effort to post.
All this talk of alcohol is making me want some cider. Marks do a lovely apple drink which is alcohol free which i loved during my last pregnancy. Its made with hops so has a beer / cider smell and taste. Remember bringing it to summer bbq's so i didn't feel left out.

Still feeling fairly nauseated - much worse in evenings and only want to eat crap. Prob is i'm bridesmaid at 24 weeks and really need to fit into dress so need to get healthy eating back on track!

Good luck to those getting scans this week x
12 + 5

Babyboo79 · 03/03/2013 12:14

Thanks frog, I read up about cured meats while I was out there and decided that while I may eat it at home, I didn't want to take a chance eating them in restaurants abroad.

That sounds really bad I know. I've eaten in the dodgiest local markets around the world when travelling with DH, but now that there's a bean to consider I thought I'd try to be a bit more careful. If only to keep the guilt/worry at bay!

Girraferama · 03/03/2013 13:02

Hey Frootloops great to have another scan buddy - please update us tomorrow!

slowblonde do you know the name of the apple drink? I live in Devon and I'm REALLY missing my cider!!

ION a random man cycled past me yesterday and told me we are going to have the hottest summer since 1976, starting 3rd week in May! He better be wrong!!

jennimoo · 03/03/2013 13:03

I think the stats list has been updated by someone who didn't copy paste the last one as it has Dora back on and my EDD as 26 sept (should be 26 aug)....

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 03/03/2013 14:07

I've got alcohol free free cider in the fridge but bought it about three weeks ago and haven't been inclined to try it yet. I keep fancying it and then thinking it will make me feel sick. Can't decide.

My scan is 5 days, 5 days! Aghhhh

Kilkers · 03/03/2013 14:14

Girrafe, lol at a random man, that sounds like Devon! I'm near South Molton, what about you?

Just made a batch of cheese scones, sat here twiddling my thumbs trying to let them cool a bit! Going to have them with butter and some homemade chutney...
