Fantastic news Lexy!

Girraferama · 02/03/2013 14:01

Congratulations Lexy and everyone else with good scan news!! 2more days to go.. Wishing the weekend away!!

waggy I too have a crunchy nut cornflake obsession, for the last two weeks. Having them for breakfast but also having a bowl when I get home from work!!

SGJ · 02/03/2013 14:16

Yes to crunchy nut cornflakes - had to go and buy some especially once I realised that was what I wanted!
Got our downs risk letter this morning, was 8 days since scan but 5 working days. Doesn't say anything about age or individual risks, but overall risk is 1 in 2688 so I'm happy with that! Our nt measurement was 1.9mm at 13+2, for what it's worth.

JammyTummy · 02/03/2013 15:16

That's so odd, I've been thinking about CrunchyNut cornflakes too! Although I've not actually had any. I wonder what it is about them that make them so irresistible to the preggos?!

That's good news SGJ, good to see the numbers too!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 02/03/2013 15:59

Me too on the crunchy nut cornflakes and they're not something I usually buy. Currently half price at Tesco!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 02/03/2013 16:02

Had my booking in today and now just need to wait and see if I'll be consultant care or not as I'm borderline. I don't mind either way really.

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 02/03/2013 16:06

Still can't tolerate milk so crunchy nuts are out for me.

I have just projectile vomited all over the downstairs toilet - the lid was down. We have people coming over for dinner so hubby not impressed that he has to do all cooking and clean up sick.

15weeks - isn't the sickness thing meant to stop now? I'm waiting to be blooming in the second trimester.

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 02/03/2013 16:07

Are you allowed crunchy nuts? With them having nuts in? Or are we letting that one slide. I have a regular snickers from the garage.
I think it's the sweet salt combination

andadietcoke · 02/03/2013 16:15

rosy I've been having peanut butter nearly every day. Mw said it was fine and that the nhs had changed their guidelines so unless you have a history of nut intolerance it's fine.

kimjayne · 02/03/2013 16:22

Zoon and binary you are stars! Really helped me relax today. Even treated myself to a mini facial so Im feeling much less tense. Did somebody else on here say they had slightly high nt measurements (above 2.5)? Makes me feel so much better knowing there are other people out there feeling the same as me.

Creamtea1 · 02/03/2013 16:33

Another crunchy nut fan here :)

Did the Facebook thing yesterday with scan photo and virtually all my friends either liked or commented, which was a really nice feeling. Have had the same or text/email from all my family. Except my sister in law who has done none of the above. Nothing. And I know she knows, and she been on FB and would 100% have seen it! just rude I think.

Crunchy nut. Oh yes! I think I need some!! Once Ive eaten my fruit salad chewits! Mmmm. Have been desperate for trifle too. Cue tescos multipack!!

WaggyBlueElf · 02/03/2013 16:43

Thanks redandyellow!

Sorry you're still feeling sick Rosy. My nausea has reduced, but still absolutely knackered all the time - when am I supposed to get all this energy? Though DP's snoring and bed hogging didn't exactly help me sleep last night...Hmm

jennimoo · 02/03/2013 16:45

Rosy -It's many years since nuts were on the 'banned' list, unless there's a history of allergies.

frogchops · 02/03/2013 16:45

Ready....I've just noticed we had bfps on the same day! Wink

andadietcoke · 02/03/2013 16:47

creamtea my SiL has been the same. I know she knows because MiL told her she'd told her (DH tried to ring but she didn't answer and PiLs were on holiday with them). Not heard anything from her. She has 4 kids (the only grand kids) and we think she's worried she's going to have to share DH's parents for childcare, holidays etc (his parents pay for A LOT for them). Oh well.

Readytosettle · 02/03/2013 16:49

frog we were on the jan bus together ;-)

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 02/03/2013 16:55

I ordered some maternity clothes and was trying one dress in and I look HUGE in it! At least 20 weeks, eek. I know it's the cut but frightened DH. Mind you the mat jeans fell straight down so I'm stuck in my regular ones which cut my circulation off.

JammyTummy · 02/03/2013 17:08

It's funny the nasty characters that come out of the woodwork when you announce your news! It all just becomes so clear! All it takes is one little snide comment (or actually lack thereof) and the penny drops- that person has been a dick their whole life...

TripleRock · 02/03/2013 18:05

Ha ha JammyTummy, you're so right!

Presciption exemption certificate arrived today :)

frogchops · 02/03/2013 18:11

Ahhh ready I remember now.... Did it happen quite quickly for you, like 1/2 cycles?? Strangely sometimes I used to see names and just know they weren't gona be on the bus long! You were one of them along with someone called purplemonster I think, altho she could be in the July or aug thread. Wink

Creamtea1 · 02/03/2013 18:16

jammytummy you are right! coke at least it's not just me then...I've found the comments along the lines of 'are you mad' etc a bit rude too - its our third. One person even said omg is this for real??
I have to admit I am one of those hypocrite haters of Facebook who can't actually completely give it up...I would love to just stop it completely and close account, but part of me thinks it would make me more distant from (real life) friends who do use it. Whoever said it is the devils work is right!
In other news, h&m mat tops came today - one long line vest and one long line 3/4 sleeve top, really nice quality and plenty of material in tum area for stretch and nice and fitted.

I was on the December bus, I think there are a couple of ladies with us who were too - but as I got bfp dec 28th and I'm a 30 day cycle I presume the majority of dec bus ladies are on August thread.

OP posts:
Readytosettle · 02/03/2013 18:27

I had 2 cycles after coming off cerazette (where I'd had no periods for 5 years) so I guess it was pretty quick :-) jan was my first time on the bus tho.

frogchops · 02/03/2013 18:31

Belle was another who wasn't long in the bus....she was on this thread, where'd she go??
