Last one nearly full so thought I would start a new one - new thread, new trimester!

I ordered some mat clothes (if you look on Next clearance there are a few bits there) and I know that because of the cut they're going to make you look pregnant but I look at least 20 weeks at nearly 11! Eek. Have to drag my old stuff out of the loft and see what my friend has and that should be me done. I really need to start saving now for mat leave.

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 28/02/2013 19:03

PS my weird food thing has returned. Can't think of anything I want to eat and the thought of must stuff turns my stomach. I thought I'd seen the back of that. All I want is diet lemonade but I'm limiting it because of the aspartime.

Kittenkatzen · 28/02/2013 19:13

lexy congrats on the job!

rosy I've had the same problem, hardly anywhere seems to stock maternity wear its so strange. I did manage to get some skinny may jeans in my local h&m though, did you try there?

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 28/02/2013 19:58

Week 15 and the nausea has returned!!!! Hmm

jennimoo · 28/02/2013 20:25

3 years ago when pg with DD both next and Dorothy Perkins here had maternity clothes in store and when I looked a few weeks ago it'd all gone! I read that no m&s stores (even giant ones) have any.

I don't need anything much though: bought 4 bin bags full second hand off eBay so I have more mat clothes than normal ones!

JammyTummy · 28/02/2013 20:31

Mine was 68mm and they dated me 13 weeks!

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 28/02/2013 20:39

I've never fitted in h&m so didn't think to look.
Went to mama and papas buggy researching and they have a small selection of essentials so I was treated to a pair of over bump jeans

Ah hello and goodly evening. I had consultant appt today about slightly high BMI and ancient DVT, from an injury. Delightful consultant, albeit 1 hour and 45 mins late for my appointment Angry. He said, I don't really know why you're here, you're not high risk at all and clearly know what your doing having produced two healthy babies spontaneously at term....sigh, ah well, made me feel like I was right! In other news, am seriously buying some Evans shoes in a wide feet, for my feet which always bloat in pregnancy state, I know...summery...but we've had two days of blue skies and I'm feeling giddy...

Well, I was very worried about having a scan on my birthday, but all was well :) They have moved me to 13+3, which I thought I was going to be, as I have 21 day cycles, so new due date is 2nd Sept. We told the kids tonight. My daughter cried with happiness, and has been cuddling me and bringing me drinks all evening. My son cried, and said "that's rubbish, I hate babies!" Am hoping he'll come round. He made dd really sad though as he said "What if (dd) loves the baby more than she loves me? She's my sister!". He sounds like a right spoilt brat reading that back, but honestly he's lovely; I think it was just a bit of a shock for him. DD assured him that he'll always be her favourite biggest brother.

purplebynature · 28/02/2013 20:59

Hello September ladies.. I realise I am very late in joining in here. Been trying to catch up with the old threads but there's so much of it! Just lovely to read that we're all going through the same stuff, very reassuring.

I'm late because I've been away for the whole time since I found out I was pregnant (2 months), backpacking with my husband on a 'last hurrah' before we started a family. So we thought we would try to get pregnant while we were away, little expecting that our kind of 'practise' Christmassy efforts would work first time! So I found out I was pregnant just after we left home at new year, and then all I could do was phone the doctors who told me to phone the midwife who said call again a few days before you're back. So I've been relying on my wits/common sense and downloaded a load of books onto the kindle and read all that and everything seems to be fine. Can't wait to get home though and tell everybody, we haven't told anyone at all yet as we don't want them to worry. I am exactly 12 weeks I reckon. Looking forward to it all being a bit more official- and living the highs and lows of the next six months and beyond with you fine ladies!

kimjayne · 28/02/2013 21:43

Hey, could just do with a little advice and reassurance. I realise I need my blood results back before I can fully understand the findings of my nuchal translucency tests but the measurements came back quite high at 2.7mm. We will definitely be keeping our lovely baby what ever happens. But obviously all I can think about now is the higher risks. Almost wishing I hadn't bothered with the tests.
Has anyone else had high results on NT in past pregnancies?

KamikazeeKid · 28/02/2013 21:49

Kim how far are you?

At 13+3 last time I was 2.6 and bloods were fine this time measurement much less but I was scanned a lot earlier which im told can make the difference with nuchal measurements? This might be duff info but just wanted you to kbow I had similar readings and my gorgeous boy is just fine :-)

kimjayne · 28/02/2013 21:57

Oh thanks kamikazee, Im 13 weeks tomorrow and the scan was done today. But it's great to know you had very similar results in the past with.a healthy baby. I'm just hoping for good blood results now. No idea how long I might be waiting for these results though.

Oops, did that post twice? Not even sure how I did that.

KamikazeeKid · 28/02/2013 22:08

Blame baby brain ha ha!

Im waiting for bloods too...,fingers crossed for good news all round x

Zoon · 28/02/2013 22:08

Kim, 2.7 is fine on its own. Dont panic!

WhizzsMum · 28/02/2013 22:17

Have loved reading your good scan news tonight ladies Smile

Lexy congrats on the promotion

Creamtea I have really low BP too, yesterday's reading at MW appointment was 86/60. So no doubt I shall endure episodes of faintaing as I did in last pg with DD. I asked whether it was worth getting a wrist monitor and MW said not to waste my money. Low BP is not dangerous to baby as high BP is, however surely me randomly dropping to the ground like I've been hit by a sniper poses harm! Hmm

On the symptom front I have felt awful today, MS has been consistent and relentless, banging headache, uncontrolable tears, itchy tummy and nipples as well as an uber sense of smell. Poor student teacher in my team went rather red today when I too loudly stated I could smell peanuts and that a colleague should pass me an epi-pen as the smell was overpowering and making me feel giddy. She then appologised to me, bless her, for eating some peanut M&Ms. Felt slightly guilty after that, but god it stunk.

kimjayne · 28/02/2013 22:18

I read that anything above 2.5 was classed as high. But then again, I did make the mistake of googling. I'm so glad I asked you guys. I feel more reassured now. Thank you again for your responses.

juniper9 · 28/02/2013 22:41

Lexy I wondered about baby size and parent size too. When I went for an early private scan, she moved my date backwards by 11 days. I asked if it were possible that its just a small baby, seeing as my entire family barely scrape 5 foot and my dp is fairly short too. She said that genetic differences aren't seen until the second trimester, and that all babies in the first should be standard sizes.

Saying that, when I went to the epu for a scan, they said I'm 8 days, not 11 days behind dates. So I don't know how much to trust the private clinic's readings anyway.

SGJ · 28/02/2013 22:45

With DD I was due on 27th Nov, going by LMP, was moved to 24th Nov after being scanned at 13+2, and then she ignored both dates, being born on 6th December!! And when you think about newborn babies having growth spurts that last a few days, imagine how much a tiny 3 month baby can grow in the womb in only a few days! It's mental in there!!

CheeseStrawCraving · 28/02/2013 23:43

Congrats to everyone with good scans today!

On a slightly different note, a couple of you mentioned that you had pg apps I guess on iPhones/iPads... I have an iPad, can anyone suggest a good app to download? I keep seeing very American-looking ones but it would be nice to have a UK version?

On a slightly scary and too-early note, I couldn't help thinking as I looked at the stats thread that it would be exciting when the first person announces they've given birth in Aug/Sep, and who it will be! A little online wager closer to the date ladies??

Dorita75 · 01/03/2013 07:10

Scan in 2hours and I'm nervous as hell. My mmc was found at an early scan and subsequent scans were all checking on how it was going. Having only had bad experiences so far I can't get out of my mind that even if there's something alive in there, there will be something not quite right. Am expecting a 'but' when they scan. Can't believe it might be ok.

I'm glad this craziness has only hit this morning and I don't have long to wait.

Really hope I'm posting good news later, and good luck for my scan buddies today, fingers crossed for us allSmile

HettySunshine · 01/03/2013 07:21

Hey Cheesestring, I have two apps, sprout lite and the bounty one which I think is called My Pregnancy. The sprout one is a weekly picture of how the baby looks with a few facts about how it's growing and developing - and comparing it's size to fruit and vegetables (size of a fig this week!).

The bounty one is lots of things - there's a gallery (we're putting weekly tummy snaps in at the mo), a diary for cravings, symptoms, baby movement etc., a community (which I haven't used - I have all of you!) and 'this week' which is hints and tips, things to do/ think about and on the first day of your week it tells you about what your baby's doing and how you might be feeling.

Both are really good and both are free.

ION, DP and I are off to see my mum this afty for the first time since we found out. Can't wait to show her my mini bump.

I've loved reading all the scan news. So many lovely results. mine is on monday - so excited! Hope everyone with scans today enjoys the experience. Good luck x x Smile

Keepsmilingsunshine · 01/03/2013 07:24

Good luck with your scan today Dorita Smile

I had my scan and all was fine, a tiny jumping baby measuring at 11+6. So relieved and happy Grin.

Nice to hear all the good scan news and good luck to all those who still have to wait a little while for theirs.
