Could your dr advise you via the phone?

Eeeknumber3 · 27/02/2013 07:33

Yep, I was prescribed pessary in both of last pregnancies, it's fine. I've got it again, it's a real bloody pleasure isn't it?!

Eeeknumber3 · 27/02/2013 07:36

Welcome beans, I'm also on number three like you, have a ds and dd already, 4 and 6, not told them yet, for no other reason than I can't stand the 'is the baby coming today?' questions for quite that length of time!

Zoon · 27/02/2013 07:42

Ready, put half a cup of cider vinegar or a tablespoon of bicarb in bath and have a good soak- works as good if not better than creams anyway!
Also cut out, eeeek, sorry to say this Sugar , just until cleared that includes white bread and pasta.
Take a good probiotic (good for pregnancy also)
Lots of dark green veg and whole grains
If still not gone within a wk doing this see yr gp, but it will be gone!!!
Good luck xxx

Zoon · 27/02/2013 07:44

Forgot to say, but others have- live yoghurt. Just slap it on and in (nice) and eat lots of it too.

Creamtea1 · 27/02/2013 08:36

Welcome beans and keep us posted on any twin news :)
I'm on number 3 too

Loving reading all the good scan news, so exciting!

I fear I'm turning into a complete pain in the backside! Still having nasty cramping pains and yesterday had some spotting when I wiped, so off I went to the docs. After dipsticking the GP thinks it could be a urine infection but I have to await the results. Today the pain isn't easing and but my scan isn't until Friday so I thought I'd be cheeky and ask if my scan can be brought forward for reassurance, so now I'm going tomorrow instead. Being pushy is so out of character for me and I feel I'm making a real nuisance of myself, but it's for good reason, right?

LCR77 · 27/02/2013 10:25

Hello ladies and bumps. Can't believe I have only just discovered this thread.

After what has been the most agonising wait of my life, I am finally going for my 12 week scan tomorrow. Quite frankly I'm shitting myself bricking it especially after an ectopic pg in November 2012. I've already had a reassurance scan at 6 weeks and everything was ok. Hoping I get to spend a bit more time on this thread moaning about normal pg stuff that DP already sick of hearing!!

Deepest sympathies go out to those of you who are still in the long slog waiting till your scan.

LexyMa · 27/02/2013 11:03

I had scan 8 days ago and still haven't had the combined nuchal risk through the post. I think I'll call the GP reception later and ask if they have anything for me. Come to think of it didn't get anything back from my booking bloods either.

seem to have a touch more energy now, but still retching a few times a day. haven't weighed myself in ages, but I have a little pot belly that looks like time of the month bloating.

DS decided last night that he would like his little brother or sister to be called James. Grin

LexyMa · 27/02/2013 11:17

haha, and I just sent that to DH by text because I forgot to tell him last night, and he said he had the same announcement this morning (he does breakfast and drop offs, I do pickups and dinner). DS having opinions on names was not something I had planned for...

Kittenkatzen · 27/02/2013 11:29

Welcome to the new ladies!

craving definitely all for a good reason, stop worrying! I'm sure everything is fine, but that is what they're there for after all :)

lexy I reckon you could get away with a little girl called James....or you could go with Jamesina :o

I've just embarrassed myself by almost passing out in a meeting at work Blush. The room was packed and hot, and I was stood in a corner so I think it all just got too much - had to sit on the floor for a few minutes fanning myself with my door pass! So embarrassing! Oh well, planning to tell work when my boss is back tomorrow so they'll all know why then!

Kilkers · 27/02/2013 12:18

Hi to all the new gals and welcome to our poo and food obsessed thread!

Thanks to the ladies who reassured me yesterday about the sharp pains I've been getting. I went to see my lovely lady GP this morning, she felt my tummy (which was all as it should be) and I have an early scan tomorrow at 12.30pm! She was saying she feels the units are a bit mean with giving early scans so she's told them a porkie that I've had some spotting!

I can't believe it's tomorrow now after stressing about waiting for my 12 week scan on the 11th March, waaaaa!

Congrats to everyone on their lovely scan news yesterday and good luck to those with them today x

frogchops · 27/02/2013 12:47

Been to the Drs this am, due to painful stretchyness.... Dr wasn't worried. He did say he couldn't feel my uterus though when I asked. I thought he should be able to by now?? This has got me worried!
Was also initially worried that very sharp pains were in my right hand side....he was almost certain nothing eptopic could be occurring, too late for that apparantly.
How's everyone else....kilkers, your nurse sounds very good, lucky you!

BinarySolo · 27/02/2013 12:47

Lexy, I was told 2 weeks to get the nuchal results tho in reality it was quicker.

I don't think they send out the other blood tests results if they're ok, you'll just get them at your next midwife appointment.

Keepsmilingsunshine · 27/02/2013 12:57

Hi, please can I join you?

I'm 11+4 and have my dating scan tomorrow. I know it's very early but I swear I have felt the baby move a few times. It feels like little popping sensations, it's defiantly not wind, I've had that a lot of that and know the feeling well! This feels very different, just as I remember it from DC1. Anyone else had any movement?

It's taken me ages to read back through all the threads, I can't believe how many of us there are!

Nothing much exciting to report here, a few aches and pains this week but I think thats normal. The tiredness and nausea that I had at the start has now pretty much gone.

I have done nothing but eat since finding out I was pg, it was if someone flicked a switch that said 'feed me'!

Kitten hope you're now feeling okay? Hopefully you might get offered a seat once they know your pg?

Good luck tomorrow Killers and any other scan buddies out there.

jemimahpuddleduck · 27/02/2013 13:07

Welcome to all the new ladies!

Nothing much to report here put thought I'd check in.

DH starts his new job today so not going to have him around as much to do the housework and cook my dinner! Luckily I'm feeling alot better now except tiredness which I'm getting used too! Last night was the first night I have made us both dinner in weeks but was nice to have something healthy hopefully with me cooking now it will help slow down weight gain!

Got quite a little bump now at 11+5. I don't think it's due to bloating either. It's quite sweet actually but just need to keep an eye on thighs and arse!

kilkers glad you get to have a scan to put yourind at rest.

BinarySolo · 27/02/2013 13:11

Hello keepsmiling welcome.

I'm 12+6 and I'm sure I've felt the odd movement. I drank some very cold juice about 2 weeks ago and could have sworn the baby was jogging on the spot to warm back up! Since then I almost certain I've felt the odd kick or stretch.

chocciemousse · 27/02/2013 13:12

Thanks Jammy and ladies. The scans being 5 days out either way makes a lot of sense (to me anyway) It would explain your result creamtea and also mine.

Purple thank you. I din't think the doctor would give me antibiotics (as they never have in the past for sinus infections) I called my doc this morning explained the severity of it and she has given me antibiotics. I was literally unable to breath and chocking last night as the mucas in my throat was so thick and my nose was totally blocked. Sorry if TMI

chocciemousse · 27/02/2013 13:14

oops mucus. I can spell Blush

chocciemousse · 27/02/2013 13:45

I seem to be hogging the thread sorry. Kitten I hope you are ok??

Frogchops I have had constant bad pains in my right side for several weeks now. I was going to mention it at the scan but I was too focussed on my scan and nuchal test to think about asking. My scan was fine so I'm presuming/hoping it is just stretching?

RunningBear78 · 27/02/2013 13:46

My scan isn't until next tuesday ... any suggestions to make the days pass quicker? did I see some other ladies at Stepping Hill/Stockport?

also ... Fibogel. Food of the (pregnant) gods. Its doing wonders to keep the bloating/farting/constipation in check. i highly recommend!

Kittenkatzen · 27/02/2013 14:09

Welcome keepsmiling - maybe I'll get me one of those Baby on Board badges and just wear it around the office haha :o

jemimah I'm 11+6 and have had a teeny but definite bump for a few days at least - made more obvious by my pre-existing chub unfortunately! I have just gone out and bought some plain black maternity trousers for in the office - OMG they are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO comfortable....I simply cannot understand why we don't wear them all the time?! :o:o Also bought a couple of floaty work tops from the same place (Red Herring at Debenhams) and some skinny jeans and a belly band from H&M (in sale so really reasonable too).

JammyTummy · 27/02/2013 14:26

Lexy like you I was told it would take a week to two weeks for results to come back in the post, but I would take not hearing from them as a good sign- I was told that if there was a problem I would hear back by phone and sooner than the 'no news' letter. Fingers crossed!

JammyTummy · 27/02/2013 14:28

Ps I had so many hopes for Fibogel but all it gave me was gas! Good job I got the big pack...

Eeeknumber3 · 27/02/2013 14:49

Ahhhh hello, today it is like a magic energy switch has been flipped for me at nearly 11 weeks, am on fire with the housework, rather than sitting round eating, think the sunshine helps too! Of course, it could pass! Need it today as off to the opticians with DS and dd, who both wear glasses and for some unknown reason I also thought I could manage an eye test for me too with them there, expect hilarious reports later...a 4 and 6 year old, me and a very serious optician trapped in small dark room with lots of expensive equipment...hmmm
