Last one nearly full so thought I would start a new one - new thread, new trimester!

bear78 I am in Buxton, so we get to chose between stepping hill or Macclesfield (we used to have lovely midwife led unit here, which I would've gone to this time, but closed last year because of cash, it was great as you could come back after birth there to hide/be fed home cooked food/ recuperate!), I'm going to Macc for no other reason than it's where I went before. All of my friends have been to SHH for their births and have heard brilliant reports from all of them...

chocciemousse · 27/02/2013 15:35

Jammy have you tried oat bran? Sprinkle it on top of cereal/porridge. I find this works well and also helps with constipation. I don't get a bubbly bloated stomach from it either.

frogchops · 27/02/2013 16:17

What's the time? 16:15? 16:15 as in, time for cheese scones 16:15?? Oohh! How lovely!

fl0b0t · 27/02/2013 16:21

Afternoon all. Been eating all day whilst travelling for work in an attempt to fight nausea. Hasn't worked! Still gassy as all hell :( bit Fedup but can feel a weeny bump growing which is exciting. Some ouchie stretchy type pains too and the odd non-wind flutter which may be movement??

Keepsmilingsunshine · 27/02/2013 16:55

Wish me luck I'm about to be brave and weigh myself!

Dorita75 · 27/02/2013 17:06

Eek I had a burst of energy at just over 10 wks, did loads of housework, ironing etc....felt great! I've gone back to being tired, though I think less than before, even stayed up reading in bed until 9:45pm last night, that's a record!!

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 27/02/2013 17:19

I've had a pessary and cream from the gp.

I'm now taking probiotic capsules from health food shop - 3 a day for 2 weeks, then 1 a day until symptoms reappear

I have also had antibiotics in first trimester.

Sorry for bragging - been there done that!

jemimahpuddleduck · 27/02/2013 17:33

kitten I've got myself some black maternity trousers too I agree people should just wear them all the time soo comfy!

frog I want some scones!!!

Whyriskit · 27/02/2013 17:34

Kitten - I've just done the same-ish. Big meeting at college, hot room, had to leave v abruptly to go and puke. Not pleasant!

Keepsmilingsunshine · 27/02/2013 17:59

Oh no Why, hope you're now feeling better.

So, despite feeling the size of a house (flab not bump) I've only gained 3lb since my BFP! At my most optimistic estimate I was expecting to have gained 7lb so I'm quite chuffed. Grin

Now off out to buy a fish and chip celebratory supper. Grin

andadietcoke · 27/02/2013 18:00

Bear78 yep, I'm at Stepping Hill.

Eek I grew up in Whaley Bridge. Was it Corbar? Went there a lot with my mum when my brother was born!

Kittenkatzen · 27/02/2013 18:01

why Sad it's horrible isn't it, hope you're feeling better now. I've felt ropey all day tbh, felt woozy again on the tube back at lunchtime too, luckily my emergency bag of jellybeans came to the rescue that time.

jemimah a friend has just confessed to me that she still wears her mat jeans as they're so comfy - her dd is 6mtjs old ha!

frog you are evil I want cheese scones now and I'm stuck on a sodding commuter train

frogchops · 27/02/2013 18:15

Cheese scones are medicinal as I'm still worrying after dr appt that he couldn't feel anything, and also that I've lost 2lb rather than gained any. Hmm Am actually dreading scan, another two weeks urgh.

Creamtea1 · 27/02/2013 18:28

I think I've put my 1lb loss back on in one day today - been feeling bleurgh again so bread was calling!
I've noticed that since I've been pregnant, I've gone from worlds biggest cake addict (hence the name!) to being completely off any kind of cake. All I want is salty, savoury things like bacon frazzle crisps, wheat crunchies and salty cheese like feta!
I don't know if calorie wise that's better or worse than cakes Hmm

Hi all, especially new ladies.

Lovely to hear everyones news.

Had a rebranding seminar all morning (snore) and really struggled due to not being able to trough carbs throughout!

Day off work for scan tomorrow pm! Good luck to all my scan buddies.

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 27/02/2013 19:09

My scan is so far away, a week on Friday, I think time has stood still.

andadietcoke · 27/02/2013 19:11

redandyellow me too - the 8th? I feel your pain...

EmmaDee · 27/02/2013 19:16

Hi all, just checking in, hope your all well.

Had my scan today 10+3 all good, wee bran snoozing and sucking its thumb! Heard talk of somersaulting brand but mine's just chilling!!

Now the dilemma is whether to tell folk or wait til the holy grail of 22 weeks, what you think?!

EmmaDee · 27/02/2013 19:17

*bean not bran!! Silly phone!

EmmaDee · 27/02/2013 19:17

Ugh and 12 weeks

kimjayne · 27/02/2013 19:21

Scan day eve for me today too Triplerock. It's nerve racking isn't it? I only have the morning off so just hoping all goes well. The DH has the full bloody day off (Jammy git) so I might task him with some home cooking. :) really fancy Cannelloni. Only been sick twice today (so far) and that actually seems to be more catarrh related rather than anything else. Is there any decongestant type meds we are allowed to take? X
Good luck tomorrow scan buddies!

andadietcoke · 27/02/2013 19:29

Emma we told people after my scan at 10+4 last week. We decided if everything was normal there was no reason not to, and I'd be so utterly devastated if anything happened now that I'd need everyone to know anyway. Congratulations on your thumb sucking bean Thanks

Keepsmilingsunshine · 27/02/2013 19:33

It seems only fair Kim that if you have to work he should cook Wink.

Readytosettle · 27/02/2013 19:41

Just seen a sign in mamas & papa's window. 30% off maternity clothes on a 4 day event...be rude not to really!

TripleRock · 27/02/2013 19:57

Emma, just out of interest, were they able to do nuchal prior to 11 weeks?

I'm half expecting my dates to be put back tomorrow and worried i'll miss out on nuchal due to it being too early.
