Evening ladies!
Scan tomorrow morning woo hoo. If they try and weigh me will refuse (have already been weighed at booking in and was healthy bmi so hoping they won't try).
In new news - today I felt normal - no sickness and no need to eat carbs! Went 4 hours between breakfast and lunch then 7 hours till dinner without snacking so really pleased. Now just need to reign in the raspberry royales, minstrels etc... Hmm

Dorita75 · 24/02/2013 21:12

It's my first scan amiready how about you?

All this talk of olbas oil is making me wonder if my mum's tip of a hanky soaked in something nice smelling would help when sickness comes on strong.....anyone tried anything like that?

Manoodledo · 24/02/2013 21:39

My scan is at 12.

Pinkbump3 · 24/02/2013 21:47

Good luck with our move too whizz! Cheesestraw my scan is around 3pm ish Hmm as its same time as my booking appointment. Going alone as do is looking after dd3 and they will prob take blood at booking and i have terrible veins it takes them so long poor dp will pass out if he has to come lol! I don't know what time among the appointment I will get scan or I would have dp their auberge ask when I get there. Feeling pretty nervous now! Hope you all have good scans tmrw ladies! X

Pinkbump3 · 24/02/2013 21:49

Auberge? Should say maybe! Hmm stupid iPad keeps changing my words!! X

Kilkers · 24/02/2013 21:53

Whizz fingers crossed you get your scan date soon. I've been prescribed Lactulose but haven't had to take it yet. The day after I picked it up things returned to normal, (TMI) I've pooed every day for 6 days running! A friend of mine took it when she was pg and found it very helpful.

Lexy that is sooo lovely of your DS, what a nice thing to say.

Creamtea and all good luck with your scans tomorrow.

Dorita I've used lemon and mandarin oil on a tissue when I've felt nauseous and did find it quite helpful. I read somewhere that the smell of citrus can be helpful so thought I'd give it a go.

Creamtea1 · 24/02/2013 21:59

I'm at 11am, then consultant appt after

Lexy your DS's comments made me cry, how sweet, hope my DD is as sweet when we tell her

Kilkers congrats on poo stats Envy

Good luck to all ladies with scans tomorrow, I shall be thinking of you all while I try to conceal my ever emerging bump when back at school tomorrow (I bet they guess before I make it to my scan date)

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 24/02/2013 23:03

Kilker rub it in why don't you!!

Dorita75 · 25/02/2013 06:57

Thanks killkers I'll try that....

Girraferama · 25/02/2013 07:14

Good luck to everyone having scans today! One more week and it'll finally be my turn!

I'm currently eating bran flakes and sultanas.. Needless to say I've not had a poo all weekend.. I'm finding I only get 'blocked' at the weekends when I don't stick to usual eating times and I don't have bran flakes for breakfast!

BinarySolo · 25/02/2013 07:15

Good luck to everyone with scans today.

andadietcoke · 25/02/2013 07:17

Good luck to everyone with scans today Smile

HettySunshine · 25/02/2013 07:19

Good luck all the scan ladies. There's still a whole week until mine . Smile

MeanMrsMustard · 25/02/2013 07:35

Good luck with the scans! I can't wait to log on to read al about them later on.
Im on my way to school after the week off now. Not happy, but we have an inset so its a bit more relaxed today. I think I am going to tell my head today. Hoping not to chicken out! The school has had a hectic year - special measures after horrible ofsted, HMI, forced academy status and now apparently due a second ofsted. Head normally nice but very stressed and scary right now. Wish me luck...

Eeeknumber3 · 25/02/2013 07:58

Oh my word, I feel so behind! You're all having scans, I'm having my booking in appointment today! Jealous! I feel so grim, thought I'd escaped the sickness, bleurgh, feel nauseous pretty much constantly, much worse than with my other two babies. Happy belated birthday creamtea...your meal sounded yum

KamikazeeKid · 25/02/2013 08:08

Oo as a lot of you are teachers, ....wondering if you know if there is a standard cutoff date for deciding school years......

Eg if this baby arrives in august will this mean I have a child who will be youngest in the year Or oldest in year? I'm guessing youngest? My ds is a late July bubba so another youngest iin the year. ...I know it doesn't really matter but I know it'll matter to the child when last to be able to learn to drive!!

Good luck with scans today ladies!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 25/02/2013 08:09

Good luck at the scans today ladies! Can't wait to hear all the stories. Caught my DH manflu and feeling sorry for myself. Shame I've got a baby to look after and can't lie about the sofa

jennimoo · 25/02/2013 08:14

Good luck with the a scans today :)

I nearly threw up outside my house just a moment ago! Had walked DD to childminder and cold air made me cough so hard I was nearly sick :( Am sitting next to sick bowl in the house for a few minutes before driving to work. The MS hasn't actually caused me to puke yet this time around and I'm sick-a-phobic so a little freaked out...

BinarySolo · 25/02/2013 08:19

My ducks have started laying! Or at least one of them has. First egg yesterday which dh ate and second today. I really want it poached but I've got to cook it thoroughly. Boo! Think I'll have to have it poached with a firm centre. Harrumph!

frogchops · 25/02/2013 09:31

Complete mental block Binary... I read that to say 'my ducks have started hatching!' I thought ooh how nice, baby ducklings, but then when I read your DP ate one, I was mortified!! Haha.

BinarySolo · 25/02/2013 10:05

Blimey I would have been too! We were vegan until fairly recently and are quite strict veggies now!

Had the egg and it was yummy. Ds loved it too. The yolk was runny in the end, duck eggs take longer to cook apparently, so doubly yummy but naughty and I won't make a habit of it!

Eeeknumber3 · 25/02/2013 10:37

Oooo binary, I had spaghetti carbonara last night with the eggs cooked by the steaming hot pasta?! Feel a bit guilty now, but was scrum.
I have booking in this morn (10 weeks), can someone please remind me what happens, as it has been 7 and 5 years or so since I went with DS1 and dd1 and now it seems I cannot recall a thing...

HettySunshine · 25/02/2013 10:56

Eeeek, mine was mostly form filling and general health chat. They asked about domestic violence and any history of drugs, terminations etc which I'm glad I was warned about before hand - just routine though.

Also took bloods (sob), did wee test and weight and height. They give your notes and bounty pack and at mine they also booked my scan and 16 week appointment.

Hope that helps Grin
