elliejjtiny · 08/03/2013 16:41

mightbe that was me with the weight. My baby was 14oz at 20+3 and 1lb at 21+4 which according to the charts is a little above average. So 12oz at 19+6 is probably bang on average.

Congratulations on all the good scans.

twinkle I'll be thinking of you on tuesday and hope you manage to distract yourself over the weekend.

DS2 has been at school full time this week for the first time. He was shattered today though and wanted to go in his wheelchair. Which meant carrying DS3 in the baby carrier. bus stop outside our house and outside school so short distance thankfully but ouch ouch ouch. Just waiting for paracetamol to kick in before tackling the housework.

Hai1988 · 08/03/2013 16:42

Congratz on the scans today :)

Thank.you to those who showed concern about my.mirgrain, i dont normally get them at all so wasnt good.

Probs should of taken it easy today but felt much better and took a trip out to babies r us with the bf :)

Hai1988 · 08/03/2013 16:46

Forgot to add my sil had her 12 week scan today and found out shes 12+1 so about 10weeks behind me.

22+0

dinkystinky · 08/03/2013 17:14

Congrats on pink bump Granny.

Ellie - take it easy with the housework. No point making your aches worse if you don't have to. As you may guess I am a domestic slattern :-)

photographer I also had a very slow day at work... Which meant I've spent a small fortune on girly clothes online. Smile

BadMissM · 08/03/2013 18:18

Ama Didn't have DD til I was 31.....

Cheekbyjowl I didn't find out I'd been born with a hole in my heart til I was about 21....I was filling out an electoral register form, and it was then my mother chose to tell me I'd spent the first six months of my life in hospital!

Dinky Was given crutches for my SPD last week. Have never had crutches, am lethal with them... plus not sure if they hurt more, or the SPD does!

TotallyAma Know the feeling, my bed is awash with pillows and still can't damn well get comfortable enough to sleep!

Ooh, hotel sounds really nice...have fun!

Calm Good luck with the reusables...I'm still hesitating about whether to use them...

Hai I get really severe migraines, so can sympathise...watch them during pregnancy as what you can take is very limited....when pregnant with DD was hospitalised twice with them...

I'm normally on a ton of treatment for them, but have had to stop for the pg...
The only real treatment when pg is rest and taking care of yourself...and sleep.

Devilforasideboard I normally have preventatives plus triptans, but all I'm allowed is solpadol...

Dinky H & M Mama tights are sounding possible and probable....seem to remember had H&M knitted and C & A knitted with DD...

emblosion Good luck with private scan!

photographer They jumped my scan forward 2 days, so had it on Wednesday...all fine, and it's a little boy!

Mightbemad Had it Wednesday...little boy and all fine!

Bigbelly4 Haha for red line!

Grannyapple All fine on Wednesday (got pulled forward) but am having another in 4 weeks due to pg diabetes...

Mine's a blue bump, and I was CONVINCED it was a girl!

Tired, tired, tired today. Hard to eat enough for the raging hunger and keep within pg diabetes levels...

DH has just taken DD out to buy my Mother's Day present (but I'm not supposed to know).

At least MIL was happy it's a boy....haven't bothered telling my parents as they appear to be feigning that they didn't hear when I told them I was pregnant....

Hai, glad to hear you're feeling better, but keep an eye on them...

Phie Enjoy!

TotallyEggFlipped · 08/03/2013 19:07

Great work on the Pink/Blue/Yellow stats, photographer

TotallyEggFlipped · 08/03/2013 19:41

Just found this again. Hard to believe the baby is the size of pomegranate!

photographerlady · 08/03/2013 19:46

Speaking of online shopping... Okay this is going to make me sound like a brat. So my DM spoke to me last week about buying something for us online. We said a Moses basket would be nice as we are aiming to pick up the practical things. Then ofc we found out we were having a girl, my mothers all excited and I mentioned my phobia of being a tomboy. Today a package arrived from an online shop opened it up and All dolls. Dolls. Dolls some for say a 6month old and some for a toddler. Their little faces are scaring at me right now from the box they were shipped in. Umm thanks mom..... :)

photographerlady · 08/03/2013 19:47

Staring not scaring.., I am great with typos have a lovely Friday night all.

dinkystinky · 08/03/2013 20:23

BadmissM - did they talk you through how to use them? Am a dab hand with crutches after rupturing my acl last year. You have to know how to use them properly so you don't put too much weight on your wrists. Should be guides online. Good thing about them is they limit your gait - which should in theory help limit the pelvic misalignment.

dinkystinky · 08/03/2013 20:26

Totally - am positive my bean is bigger than a pommegrannate - more like a melon given the double movements at opposite ends of the bump.

Photographer - ah bless your mum, she's just super excited. Mils first presents for ds1 in utero were an enormous teddy and huge soft toy shaped pillow. Bless her.

Grannyapple · 08/03/2013 20:39

Hi ladies...just worked out the estimated weight of our baby daughter (feels weird saying that...but better get used to it!)...just over 13oz today at exactly 21wks...

MarieKL · 08/03/2013 21:29

Bigbelly your red line confusion made me giggle, thanks for cheering me up.

Dinky given your firm had you working till 3 am with your first I'm not surprised their approach to fixed term contracts is more business focused. Having said that I hope you're getting more support this time round. And thank you for the tights update.

Grannyapple I have a low lying placenta too. Not sure my DH was too thrilled with the leaflet we were given about what isn't advised until the next scan thoughSmile. Great news on the girl.

Mightbemad I hope your mad week improves.

I'm shattered so off to bed as driving the length of the country to spend a week with my parents tomorrow. Hope you all have a good weekend.

Grannyapple · 08/03/2013 21:42

mariekl what leaflet?? I can guess what you're alluding too Wink but what else was in the leaflet?

I'm hoping placenta is back to where it should be...had a lovely waterbirth with ds so hoping for a repeat if the same with this one!

dinkystinky · 08/03/2013 21:54

Granny - I think it varies from trust to trust as to how much info they give you. Woman in my yoga class has low lying placenta and was told no sex, no high impact classes or bearing down exercises eg weights.

cheekbyjowl · 08/03/2013 23:24

I added in mine and a few other peoples gender updates to the stats thread. Hope i got it right

So far girls have it by 2.

cheekbyjowl · 08/03/2013 23:27

Also i have two questions. At what point should we start monitoring movement? Is it too early to try and find a trend

Also - of those that have children, do you remember when your kicks became great enough that your OH/DHs could feel it. I'm excited about that?

iclaudius · 09/03/2013 00:59

Cheeky dp can feel mine at 19 and I have only just started to feel it and to show.

Spd = sump his pubis dysfunction

DifferentNow · 09/03/2013 07:37

Have added my 'pink' to the stats list. Her name is Posy Violet.

Am 22+6 today. Everything has been fine (apart from HG) so far but I've become increasingly anxious about getting to 24 weeks and being 'viable'. I think it's a combination of things - DH is having a vasectomy on Tue so this really is the last time and I've bought almost all the baby things we need now but mostly I think it's because I miscarried before this pregnancy. Has anyone else felt this way?

Guavasforbreakfast · 09/03/2013 08:53

Haven't had a chance to catch up fully as on phone, but wanted to say I feel the same different, I thought I'd be able to relax after the 20 week scan but now the next thing is getting to 24 weeks. I don't think I'll be completely worry free until he's here! Then I'll probably end up watching him 24/7 to make sure he keeps breathing...

Guavasforbreakfast · 09/03/2013 08:54

And I also mc just before this one, that's probably a big factor even though it was an early one!

Forgot to add 21+4

SlouchingPanda · 09/03/2013 10:00

Long time no posting from me, so had loads to catch up on.

I've added myself to Team Yellow - both of us think it's probably boy for some reason, but time will tell for sure!

Guavas and Different - I totally agree about not being able to relax. I don't think I will really until it's 25 years old I leave hospital with an actual baby. I decided not to buy anything until after 24 weeks and probably won't until 28... or possibly later. I'm just over paranoid and have probably seen too much sad stuff at work to ever really enjoy the pregnancy.

Quite boring here. Sometimes I forget I'm even pregnant as I don't feel any different. Then I look in the mirror and it's me but with a bump. For some reason this freaks me out even more when I'm naked... there's no denying it then Shock

I'm another one feeling a bit ancient as I'll be 35 with DC1... spent way too faffing about deciding what to do with my life, then took 2y to conceive when I finally acknowledged my advancing years! Still don't really feel ready though, so hats off to Ginger and Phie for just cracking on!

Dinky I am still enjoying the tights chat. I imagine you with some grand maternity tights spreadsheet.

Happy Saturday all - I have had a 4h lie in and it has been bloody glorious!

22+2

DifferentNow · 09/03/2013 11:40

It's reassuring to know that others are feeling the same Guavas and Slouching. Mine was an early mc too but I have 4 other DC and was pretty complacent during those pregnancies. I think it's being so near but still so far, isn't it? Also, being on MN makes you realise how often bad stuff happens during pregnancy.

DifferentNow · 09/03/2013 11:43

Gosh - I'm the voice of doom today! Quick! Someone lighten the mood!
