Hi bb01 I tried my friends Elea in my boot today and it fitted in! I have a small boot so worried I wouldn't, my friend always detaches the seat from the chassis so I did the same, chassis is very small and got the seat in as well on top, didn't have to take the shelf off, although think my cd changer will need to go :-) just to make life easier.

Friends gave me loads of baby stuff, all getting exciting now. Also had a look at ikea and mamas and papas today (two extremes of the price range!) lots of lovely stuff though.

photographerlady · 03/03/2013 20:34

Scan day tomorrow Mightbe and Ama. So excited now for the ultra sound. My in laws are an amazing bunch talking about our pregnancy all weekend. I think I've been very quiet about it all, so many fears but now that I have a "you can't suck that in belly" and my A cup is now a D Shock it was nice to be positive this weekend about the scan and being pregnant. Good luck ladies and look forward to hearing all about your scans!

MarieKL · 03/03/2013 20:51

MrsRoss my belly button is disappearing too and like MightbeMad it's definitely gone quicker this time round.

Good luck to everyone with scans tomorrow.

dinkystinky · 03/03/2013 21:06

My bellybutton is in the process of disappearing too.

TotallyEggFlipped · 03/03/2013 21:33

I'm another one with a disappearing belly button. Sad

dinkystinky · 03/03/2013 21:54

Belly buttons are overrated anyway Totally. I mean they don't actually do anything, other than catch lint...

Heehe dinky cute :)

trustissues75 · 03/03/2013 22:21

Hello all! Some exciting scans coming up tomorrow - good luck all.

Disappearing bellybuttons - do people mean them popping out? I think this time around mine is going to act the same - no popping out for me. My feet disappeared though over the last couple of days!

We listened to "Radio Rachel" last night - her heartbeat is nice and strong.

OH noted tonight that I'm looking decidedly pregnant - finally! I may have to order some maternity clothes.

Still completely undecided on a stroller - just too much choice!

Any progress on the staying up tights scenario? I'm still relying on the hairband holding a wodge of fabric.

MightBeMad · 04/03/2013 05:13

Trust, no, not popping out as such, just going completely flat!

MightBeMad · 04/03/2013 05:16

(ps b*+#%+y boiler's malfunctioning again so here I am at 5am baby sitting it to make sure it stays on so it's 'warmed up' enough to deliver hot water for showers when we need it in a coupe of hours! Why can't the wretched thing malfunction when I'm paying a boiler engineer to stand in my kitchen ready to fix it rather then at this time of day Angry

AmaDablam · 04/03/2013 06:46

If it's any consolation mightbe I've been awake since 5 too - scan nerves! Horrible when the boiler plays up though - ours went through a phase of that a while back.

Wow photographer I remember you lamenting the lack of boob growth when I was going on about mine being huge a couple of months back - you'll be catching me up soon Wink! Glad you had a good weekend and are feeling really positive.

Well, my belly button is still resolutely normal, catching lint to its heart's content! More than a bit Envy of those who have big enough bumps to push them out/flat.

Everything crossed for fantastic scans for all those of us that have them today and in the coming few days (there needs to be a "good luck" emoticon to insert here - a little 4 leaf clover or something?)

20+1

Hai1988 · 04/03/2013 07:40

Good luck for your scans today ama mightbe and photographer and any.others i have missed :)

Belly button.is sometimes nearly flat other.times has a bit of orginal shape, think it depends on where Maddie is lying :)

Dh bought the "baby beat" iphone app this weekend to.try and hear her heartbeat but no luck, although it does say the app is designed for 30-40 weejs so it was a long shot.

MightBeMad · 04/03/2013 08:03

Sorry to hear you've been up a while too AMA. Guess you're on your way to the hospital now - good luck!

Hai I always thought that app was just junk marketing on mn. Didn't realise it actually existed!

Photographer, glad you are feeling positive. Your ils sound lovely Smile . What time's your scan?

Dinky, your belly button purpose comment made me chuckle.

Trust can't believe you've escaped mat clothes until now! Happy shopping!

Morning to everyone else!

notprincesskate · 04/03/2013 08:11

Just catching up, and wanting to say good luck to all scanee's today. mightbemad I feel your pain, we had exactly the same a while ago, think the engineer visited twice and didn't fix- fault only happened on one visit, in the end I googled the fault code and found some information online, which showed it was a common problem with our type of boiler, I then suggested to him what to do..... Part replaced and it was fixed, being a bit of a control freak I hate relying on other people!

MightBeMad · 04/03/2013 08:43

Ha ha notprincesskate! Maybe I need to take to google! Sadly I fear we're heading down the road to an expensive replacement boiler but I want to make sure it can't be fixed first!

Grannyapple · 04/03/2013 08:43

Morning ladies...good luck to all scanners today....got mine on Friday & it can't come quick enough! Got a busy week to get through so hopefully Friday will be here before I know it!

Can't remember who had the lurgy/chest infection but I had that too...was horrific & totally agree in the pelvic floor issues. I had to resort to maternity pads to catch the wee...v embarrassing. Spike to doc who agreed with me that it was a bit early for all of that so have me some antibiotics...& thank god....was soo nice not to be coughing my guts up!! Tho I think ds might have it now as his cough hasn't cleared either & saw some phlegm this morning when he was coughing (boak!), so need to get him an appt at docs this week.

Was back home for ds's 2nd birthday last week...quickest 2 yrs of my life, that's for sure! Defo a baby boom going in tho...SIL is pg as well as 2 of her mates & we're all due within 4 weeks!!

Defo have a bump...friends back home were asking me if I was further along than I actually am...or if theres2 in there!! Also saw a friend at the w/e who I hadn't seen for2 weeks..her words were "omg you've filled out...& your hairs got really long"...she's due in April too so now finished up work...v jealous of that! But thank god I pulled out my old mat clothes...especially tankini for taking ds swimming...was getting embarrassing with my stretch marked tummy slightly hanging out as I got bigger!

In finishing up at 38 wks in the hope I last that long...want more time with baby.. Will need to sort out baby clothes/wardrobes etc in coming months so I can chill when I finish (hopeful!)!!

Sorry for long post..will come on more often!

cheekbyjowl · 04/03/2013 08:45

Morning. Happy scan day to many of you. Here's a fright now we're half way count back to what you were doing 17_20 weeks ago. As that's how long we have left. Depending on the week we're in now, Most of us prob wouldn't have known we were pregnant or in fact might just had a twinkle in our eyes Wink

BB01 · 04/03/2013 08:45

Beginning, it does have quite a nice ring to it!!
Glad it fit into your boot! Sounds like it's quite compact. Am hoping to have a look at it soon. It's nice to have another contender against the Bee, which currently seems to be our only strong possibility.

Re dry skin, I like aqueous cream (you can get it from the pound shop!), but if it's really bad, try Diprobase, which you can get on prescription or off the shelf but is a bit £.

I second the tip of lying on your side/slightly on your stomach to get the LO moving. Try gentle pressure on the side of your belly. Works a treat for me!

PhieEl06 · 04/03/2013 08:48

Morning all, just caught up, I have a flat belly button too now with OH seems to laugh hysterically at every time I get my belly out. Hmm
Good luck to all with scans today! I have mine tomorrow, unbelievably excited!!
Also slight addiction to microwave popcorn today, this is not good at 8.47am?!
20+2

Grannyapple · 04/03/2013 08:49

Ps mightbemad we're having boiler issues too at the mo...& I fear the same as you! DH is onto British Gas at the mo....I fear a fight coming on...Smile

dinkystinky · 04/03/2013 09:05

Mightbe, Granny - boiler issues (especially at silly o'clock in the morning) are so frustrating. Hope you got your hot water ok and its fixable without spending £££ on it!

Cheek - am rather pleased am over half way - now 23 and a half weeks (have to keep stopping to calculate how pregnant I am) as the humungo bump seems less ridiculous when I remind myself I'm over half way. At pregnancy yoga yesterday there were plenty of first timers at 30 weeks who had smaller bumps than me - I saw them looking in horror at the size they might get if they go for baby no 3 Grin

Super envious of Trust being able to avoid maternity clothes till now. I found the maternity tights from Vertbaudet really good - will be trying out the H&M Mama tights later this week and will report back.

Anyone know if you need a full bladder for the 20 week scan?

MightBeMad Scan is at 3pm today so I am thinking I won't be home til about 5pm. New hospital so you never know how behind they may be on scans by the time you get there.

Ama sorry you both were up so early, I didnt get to bed til 2am so I think it bit me a bit last nice and I am working from home in my pjs half asleep at the moment.

Good luck to you both today what time are your scans?

shelley72 · 04/03/2013 09:31

good luck to all those with scans today, hope you have lovely co-operative babies. is anyone leaving it as a surprise, or is everyone finding out gender at the scan?

bump news - its beginning to appear Smile. though i weighed myself this morning and have put on nearly a stone. already Shock. how can that be, the baby is tiny nothing to do with all the cake i have been eating, oh no?! i can barely do my skinny jeans up anymore, even my 12s are a getting a bit tight round the middle so i think new jeans are definitely on my shopping list for tomorrow. any recommendations for where to try? i hate the ones that constantly fall down around your bottom! roll on the summer so i can wear lots of floaty dresses!

still in pain with my lower spine and having trouble walking but the osteopath seems to be helping, just need to have a quiet week so i can rest up a bit. right best go, have painting to finish today - only i have a little helper in tow. 2 year olds and gloss paint dont tend to mix do they Grin

trustissues75 · 04/03/2013 09:34

Photographerlady - they told me I didn't need to for mine and I had an empty bladder and no problems finding everything...

trustissues75 · 04/03/2013 09:35

Shelly - I liked Gap jeans during my last pregnancy. I noticed new look are going skinny pregnancy jeans too...they looked good on the model...maybe worth a look?
