Goood luck with the scan today, TOTALLY!

Thanks, DINKY, my poor OH is having to reign me in with the debit card - I just discovered zulily online and am drooling over the clothes! Already had a trip to Ikea and bought stuff (stuff for my son's room too though, which he's made up about). I suppose some people would say I should give it a few more weeks before buying but I just can't help myself.

cheekbyjowl · 01/03/2013 08:41

ama I barely have a bump, still in normal jeans and I've had a scan and everything is dandy. Don't feel down. Is your scan next week?

21+1. Size of spaghetti squash apparently but I don't know what that is

cheekbyjowl · 01/03/2013 08:48

Congrats on your daughter trust, happy scan day totally. Might just be the recent posts but seems there are a lot of girls on their way into this world. How lovely

mysterymeg · 01/03/2013 09:15

cheeky my app says the length of a carrot today if that helps. Apparently 27cm from head to foot!!! Our little ones are getting big!

21 + 0

VinegarDrinker · 01/03/2013 09:21

What kind of carrot is 27cm?!

dinkystinky · 01/03/2013 09:27

Cheek, Ama - you both clearly have lovely long bodies so your babies are growing perfectly without having to push the bump out. My friend was pregnant with her DD at the same time I was pregnant with DS1 (and her DD was her second child) - she had the tiniest bump imaginable and her DD was only 6lbs lighter than DS1! She put it down to her long torso.

Roar at the mutant carrot babies!

Also am superhormonal here - watched Child of our Time last night and blubbed when the mother of one of the children died when her daughter was aged 8. Was telling DH about it today and blubbed all over again as it made me think about her mum who lost her mum aged 8 too.

esme80 · 01/03/2013 09:50

dinkystinky · 01/03/2013 09:51

Welcome SugarKane - hope all going well in your pregnancy. Please add yourself and your due date to the waddlers and riders thread (see second link down on the thread).

Is anyone else suffering with dry skin? I seem to be developing scales...

dinkystinky · 01/03/2013 10:32

Me Devil - though suffer from it normally - on my legs particularly.

Am oiling up after showers to keep moisture in and if is really bad using the mama mio wonder balm which is uber moisturising.

Congrats on the good scan news and lovely name selections! Dh won't even discuss names until we know the gender of the baby Smile

Good luck for today Totally!!

Ama, I'm with you on the anxiety! I have a bump, but no/v little movement. Fingers crossed for us both on Monday x

Welcome sugar.

Devil - palmers do an amazing anti stretch mark cream in a tube that I use as an all over moisturiser in pg and it's brilliant for dry/sensitive skin. May be worth a try?

Beginningofthejourney · 01/03/2013 11:32

totally I have my scan this afternoon I also had strange dreams last night, kept dreaming about not being able to fit the pushchair in my boot!
In other news my linea nigra (the line thingy!) seems to have appeared over night, I'm sure it wasn't there last night.
Good luck with everyone else's scan x

trustissues75 · 01/03/2013 11:47

BEGINNING - good luck on your scan this afternoon.

Has anyone been looking at prams? I have a ord KA and was initially very limited ot what I could have but now i'm having the DOH's vehicle so can pick whatever and have no idea where to start. One thing I DO want is a large undercarriage basket - they seem so small these days. I've seen UPPA baby Vista travel system, but it's a bit on the expensive side even though I do love it. What are you choosing if you've been on the look out?

Hai1988 · 01/03/2013 11:48

Thank you esme im sure youll find the perfect name soon. We struggled to pick a girls name too but when we found Maddison it just fit :)
Do you know your having a girl or are you picking two names?

Welcome sugar hope you have had a good pregnacy so far :)

devil i feel your dry skin pain, i suffer from psoriasis and have done for 8 years :( had heard that pregnacy relives it, but mine seems to have flared really bad :(

dinkystinky · 01/03/2013 11:50

Trust - we took delivery of our Baby Jogger City Versa earlier this week and I love it already - the basket underneath is HUGE! Hai, I know a little Maddison - she's a real cutie.

PS for those on tightwatch (how exciting is my life! Not) I'm pleased to report that the pair from Vertbaudet are holding up admirably so far today - though I do have a second pair of knickers in my bag ready to be used to defend against gravity if need be...

OP posts:
trustissues75 · 01/03/2013 12:23

DINKY - your having problems with tights staying up too?! It's driving me mad. Yesterday I took my hairband off and pinched a good portion of material and wrapped it around it - which meant I was only hiking mine up twice and hour instead of 6 times and hour....

trustissues75 · 01/03/2013 12:24

Oh, and thanks ofr the rec on the Baby Jogger....I'm of to look...

Hai1988 · 01/03/2013 12:26

trust this is the pram/travel system im getting this one
